The Sound Ship "In the Moment" was constructed by artist Helmut Lutz and is located on the shores of Lake Constance. The ship serves as a kind of ambassador of peace. It traveled along the Danube in the spirit of Eastern European connection, passing through Beuron, Ulm, Passau, Linz, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, and Mohács at the border to Serbia. There, a giant wooden tear inscribed with "Europe weeps" was thrown overboard. At the end of its long journey, it returned to Lake Constance and can be visited.

The Friedrichshafen Cultural Office enriches the cultural life in Baden-Württemberg and Lake Constance. Nearly 300 events take place here annually, ranging from drama, musical theater, ballet, and concerts from solo evenings to large symphonic concerts. In summer, the ten-day festival "Kulturufer" also takes place - featuring music, dance, theater, and cabaret with street performers from around the world.
