When you enter the rustic Bernau Black Forest farmhouse, you are greeted by the warm light that falls through the old wooden spoke windows and makes the wooden walls glow. The smell of wood is everywhere, because the former farmhouse with adjoining cowshed is a quaint Bernau wooden house with the typical Black Forest shingles as a warm coat and many old wooden walls inside. It smells of fir and pine.
The Black Forest farmhouse is perfect for relaxing days, as you will find 7 heavenly bedrooms with double beds (sleeps 14) on 3 floors, as well as 2 huge farmhouse parlours and a farmhouse kitchen with romantic comfort for unforgettable togetherness in an idyllic-historical ambience.

The Black Forest farmhouse Bernau was built in 1872 on the adjacent Rönischbächle and is surrounded by other wooden farmhouses on the way to the highest mountains of the Black Forest in the sunny, alpine high valley of Bernau, which extends to 1400 metres above sea level
The Schwarzwaldbauernhaus-Bernau is situated at about 1000 metres above sea level and is surrounded by the most beautiful hiking trails in Europe at the 2 highest Black Forest mountains Herzogenhorn (1415m) and Feldberg (1493m), which you can also hike directly from the house. In only 10 minutes you can reach the big bathing lake 'Schluchsee' - or the 'Titisee' in 20 minutes. Behind the house there are numerous cross-country skiing and hiking trails. Bernau's ski lifts can be reached in 5 minutes.

Normally, you can only experience the Black Forest wooden shingle house in a museum - but not as an inhabitant. You can live in it, cook and bake with the wood-burning stove as in times gone by, without having to completely do without modern aids!

Quaint farmhouse with a lot of charm
We, twelve friends, were at the farmhouse for the second time now.
A friend turned 50 and we spent a wonderful weekend.
On Friday we had a barbecue and on Saturday all the friends cooked a menu together, which was great fun. The kitchen equipment is good. You just feel at home in this old house.
Even creaking floorboards are part of it.
The handover of the house went very well, everyone was very friendly and helpful.
The surroundings are very nice, quiet and there are many possibilities for excursions.
I can highly recommend this house
