Fantastic House in Nice Location

We've stayed at the "Kleenes Möhlenhuus" for a week over New Years; it was a great and relaxing experience. The house/apartment is very comfortable and from the moment you enter the apartment you feel at home. Everything you need is available and the interior has a great atmosphere and design. It's great to see how the original elements of the house were retained. The garden is very nice and big, and our dog enjoyed running through the garden. The location of the apartment is superb; it's a short walk to the bakery or supermarket to get your needed groceries. Also walking from the house outside the village is nice; with a bit of luck you spot some of the deers walking in the fields. The beach is nearby; 5 minutes of driving gets you there. The "Kleenes Möhlenhuus" is an absolute gem. We've highly enjoyed our stay and have already planned our next stay.

Very nice location. Garden and terrace are well situated. In the afternoon, sun on the terrace and you can enjoy the sunset in absolute peace over the fields. The furnishings should be better for the price. Attention: the second room is a pure children's room and not suitable for people over 1.50m. Hopefully, this will be adjusted in the description.

What do you need to experience in Steinbergkirche?

Excursion to the Historical Sites of the Surrounding Area

Start your excursion at the Baltic Sea beach to the attractions around your accommodation or cozy vacation apartment or private holiday home, for example in Nübelfeld, in Steinbergkirche, or in the district of Scheersberg. There, the over 30-meter-high Bismarck Tower dominates the landscape. The foundation stone for the neo-Gothic brick tower was laid in 1900. At about 18 meters high, there is a viewing platform. A natural monument on the churchyard in Steinbergkirche is the 500-year-old lime tree, dating back to the Reformation period. Also worth seeing are the castle mound, hill, and remains of the moat of Nübel Castle in Steinbergkirche. Today, a farm is located on the site of the castle ruins. Moreover, there is much more to discover in the Schleswig-Flensburg district: for example, the water castle built in 1582 in Glücksburg and Gottorf Castle near Schleswig from the early 18th century. The cathedral holds a special position. The three-aisled Romanesque basilica made of brick, granite, and tuff dates back to the 12th century. Also, consider a trip to Sörup. Simply rent a cozy and comfortably furnished vacation accommodation or apartment (FeWo) or a house with a terrace, garden, garden furniture, Wi-Fi, modern facilities, and in a prime location, and enjoy a relaxing vacation by the sea according to your personal wishes with the family.

Large dog beaches can be found in Kroonsgard, Pommerby, and Wackerballig, where dogs can frolic and swim off-leash. Water sports enthusiasts will find optimal conditions for sailing and windsurfing, as well as stand-up paddling in the Geltinger Bucht. The beaches have shallow waters, making them suitable for families and small children.

Where can I eat out in Steinbergkirche?

White Fish, Schwarzsauer, and Flens

Schleswig-Holstein is a gourmet's paradise. Embark on a gastronomic journey around your vacation accommodation or holiday home in Steinbergkirche, between Flensburg Fjord and Geltinger Bucht. The menus of local restaurants focus on fish. The Baltic Sea is right on the doorstep, and the North Sea is just a few kilometers to the west. How about plaice and flounder fried in bacon, sole in mustard sauce, or the famous Kiel sprats? Hearty sweet and hearty sour are some of the traditional dishes of the region: Schwarzsauer is cooked during slaughter feasts. Nothing from the animal is wasted. Into the pot with the slaughter broth and blood go pork belly, snout, and feet. Less exotic are beans, pears, and bacon prepared as a stew. A regional stew from Angeln cooked with milk includes Schnüüsch with thick and green beans, peas, potatoes, kohlrabi, and carrots. A maritime leftover dish from ship's galleys is Labskaus, made from matjes, pickled pork, beetroot, and potatoes. All this pairs excellently with a cold, bitter "Flens" from the Flensburg brewery.
