A special feature of the Angeln peninsula is the many well-preserved manor houses and estates. In the vicinity of your vacation apartment, such as in Norgaardholz or Steinbergkirche, or your house on the beach in Steinberg, is the estate Gelting. The manor house is surrounded by a moat and belongs to the family of the Barons von Hobe-Gelting. Unfortunately, the estate is not open for public viewing. Other estates in the area include the classical Gut Drült near Stoltebüll, the three-sided farm in Frauenhof, and Gut Düttebüll near Kronsgaard. The 19th-century Dutch windmill "Charlotte" near Nieby, built by the lords of Gut Gelting, was used for grinding grain and draining meadows. It is located close to the beaches and the Geltinger Birk Nature Reserve. A striking feature is the Easter Island statue (Mohai) on the protective dike at Falshöft, overlooking the fields. It is located near the lighthouse, which houses a small maritime museum. The lighthouse also contains a wedding room of the local registry office.
