At its base, there are several restaurants where you can relax and enjoy the wonderful view. The Kurpark Eckernförde is a popular promenade from which you have a splendid view of the beach and Eckernförde Bay. The park is centrally located and extends so that it is easily accessible from your vacation apartment at a fair price.
The "Ritterburg" Eckernförde is actually a residential and commercial building located on Kieler Straße in the old town. The house impresses with its beautiful Baroque gables, is under monument protection, and is definitely worth a visit. If you are in northern Germany during the warm month of August, do not miss the Kieler Woche. This is a world-famous sailing regatta that has been held since the end of the 19th century. It is considered one of the largest sailing sports events in the world.
