A small paradise

Casa Sueno is located at about 600 meters above sea level at the edge of the village and has a fantastic unobstructed view of the sea. It happens that rainbows wander through the garden. The pool is a delight. You can hike from the house, and down in the village, there is everything you need: a good SPAR, a small snack bar with a sunset view, and a pizzeria (and a few more restaurants). The house is very ecologically thought out, practical, and cozy with hot water and heat pump from its own solar cells. The coastal hiking trail is highly recommended. Hiking poles and shoes with tread won’t hurt. La Palma is – especially here in the west – a large garden, a bit wild and not fully developed. You have to like that; then it is a little paradise.

Dream holiday in dream house

We were allowed to be guests as a young family for 14 days in the dreamlike Casa Papaya 2. The planting and decoration of the terrace(s) and garden are a dream. Everything was thought of for our little one (1.5 years) (baby bath, beach toys, painting materials, cuddly toys, baby cot, door gate, ...). An ideal accommodation for children - and in combination with the other units of the finca also for multi-generational holidays. We didn't miss anything in the way of equipment, the kitchen is also very suitable for larger cooking events. Beautiful beaches and the capital as well as the west side of the island are easily accessible by rental car. Thank you Lucy for the hospitable welcome and your "taking care" of our well-being ;-)

Holiday flat with lots of charm in a beautiful location

We spent a very nice week from 14.03. - 21.03.23 as a couple at Finca Suculenta, house Papaya 1, in the hills of Brena Alta in the immediate vicinity of San Pedro. We had made a very good choice of both the holiday home and the holiday resort.

House Papaya1 is a beautiful, quiet, recently renovated and self-contained flat as part of Finca Suculenta with lots of charm and lovely planting around the house and on the terraces. From the house you have a wonderful view over the hills of Brena Alta as well as to the sea. The friendly and very helpful landlady had many tips and was always quickly accessible. A small supermarket nearby is within walking distance and it is only 2 km to San Pedro, the main town of the municipality of Brena Alta. The seaside resort of Los Cancajos with its quite beautiful beach can be reached in about 10 minutes by car (in good weather, as everywhere in La Palma, the few shady sunbathing spots become scarce; otherwise the beach was only pleasantly loosely frequented during our holiday period). Santa Cruz can also be reached quickly by car.
