Description
The Casa Maracuya has a well-equipped kitchen (coffee machine, toaster, water boiler, oven) with access to the 2 terraces. Also 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each (140x2,00) with full-length mattresses, wardrobe and storage space.
For our little guests we have a cot and a high chair (on request).
The bathroom has a shower, cosmetic mirror and hairdryer. The rustic barbecue area with seating and table has a beautiful mountain view and is perfect for cosy barbecue evenings
There is a larger terrace with seating (convertible into 2 sunbeds) + dining table with beautiful mountain and sea views and a smaller one with dining table and brick bench.
The "Casa Maracuya" is perfect for families with children! We have tried to make it as safe and comfortable as possible for families: Doors on the inside staircase, beach and table games, children's books, high chair, baby cot and high chair are available, mixer, beach umbrella and much more. For more comfort there is electric heating in the living room/kitchen and the bedrooms and bathroom have underfloor heating. In the house you will find all kinds of accessories such as information material about the island, books, beach towels (free of charge on request) and a stereo system. Also WLAN and SAT TV .
Pets are welcome up to 15 kg (on request, price 8€/night, deposit 200€). We have prepared special tips for our pawed guests, what you can do together with your master or mistress on the island and in the house we have prepared feeding bowls, beds and toys so that the holiday for everyone is really great.
There is also a washing machine which can be used free of charge. In the common garden you can feed the children the turtles, pet the fat cats or play with the dog or harvest basil, parsley, rosemary, lemon verbena or thyme in the herb garden.

The house is situated in a small quiet village in the municipality of Breña Alta, about 350m above sea level.
It is possible to buy organic fruit and vegetables on foot in about 20 minutes, and a very well stocked supermarket is only 10 minutes walk away.
The next village can be reached after 1,5km. There you will find several ATMs, a health food shop, pharmacy, butcher's, bakery, bars, gas station, post office and other shops as well as a very good ice cream factory (Helados Taburiente).
Directly in front of the house begins one of the most famous hiking trails of the island, the "Camino de las Fuentes". Also beautiful places like the famous dragon trees of Breña Alta ("Dragos gemelos", 10 minutes walk), the Cigar Museum and the Museum of the Feast of the Cross, the farmers markets of Breña Alta and Mazo, the beautiful beach of "Los" Cancajos ", the viewpoint of" La Concepción "overlooking the capital and south of the island, The famous and sweet "grill restaurant" Chipi Chipi , the capital Santa Cruz (only 15 minutes away by car) with its beautiful old town, the island and the ship museum, the fantastic town market, interesting individual shops etc. Also near the house, in "Las Nieves", you can visit the most important church of the island. Just one step further you will find the ascent to the Roque de los Muchachos, one of the most important observatories in the world.

A bus stop is about 5 minutes walk from the house and you can easily order taxis almost to the house. I recommend a rental car as this is the best way to explore the island.
The hiking trails (more than 1000 km!) are well signposted.

Home from Home
We (older couple) were allowed to spend the whole winter in this cute little house and felt incredibly comfortable. It lacked nothing and was cosy and warm thanks to the underfloor heating in the basement. Lucy took care of all our questions and wishes immediately and competently. The volcano tour she led was a special highlight.
The equipment of the flat is very well thought out and tiptop maintained, so that we lacked nothing. Even baking bread and cakes is possible thanks to the oven.
On sunny days, the sheltered terrace was our favourite spot. The "Indian room" is a cosy corner, e.g. for a home office. We especially enjoyed the cuddly cats.
We travelled a lot on foot and by bus, but a car is highly recommended in this location (private parking is available) to take maximum advantage of what the island has to offer. There is a well-stocked supermarket 10 minutes walk away, but you have to be able to negotiate a steep bit of road. The next largest town, San Pedro, is also within easy walking distance.
Summary: Cosy, romantic cottage with flair and charm in a dreamlike setting.

Unbeatable and magical

Delightful accommodation
We stayed at Casa Maracuya for twelve days and felt very comfortable! The house is very clean, charming and lovingly furnished and decorated!
The kitchen is super equipped, the bathroom with underfloor heating was really pleasant on cool days. Everything bomb :-)
... to put it in Lucy's words. Already shortly after the reservation Lucy contacted us and had a quick answer to all questions before and during our stay. We felt very comfortable and very well looked after!
The all-round carefree package for a relaxing holiday includes not only the beautiful terrace, the very well-equipped kitchen, a cosy living room and enough space in the basement, but also a lovingly tended garden where there is something new to discover every day.
Of the many beautiful accommodations we have already discovered, Lucy's finca is really something special and definitely worth recommending.
We will be back and are already looking forward to it!

Maravillosa estancia en una casita adorable
Estuve 6 días alojado en la casita Maracuyá.
No tengo más que palabras postivias con todo.
La casita está situada en la Breña Alta. Cerca de todo (supermercados, aeropuerto, restaurantes...) pero además, en un sitio estratégico para poder acceder a las rutas, tanto en el interior, sur y norte (el oeste queda más retirado, pero no se puede tener todo :))
La casa en sí te enamorará. Los mil detalles, las terrazas, la barbacoa (la usamos y fue una experiencia muy linda). Lucy lo tiene todo precioso, todo pensado... para que solo tengas que llegar y disfrutar. Por ejemplo, la terraza, con esos sillones reclinables es un lujo de cara a tirarse a contemplar las estrellas, o simplemente leer esuchando algo en el equipo de música.
Luego el jardín, con las aromáticas, las tortugas... ya digo, mil detalles, que hacen que la casita se quede en el recuerdo como parte maravillosa de un viaje a este sitio tan mágico, como es La Palma.
Yo fui sin niños, pero tengo, y creo que lo hubieran disfrutado horrores (y las mascotas). Está muy pensado para ellos también.
Mencionar como algo increible, el trato de Lucy. Justo coincidió que mi viaje se solapaba con uno suyo y no nos pudimos ver, pero aún así, la noté siempre cercana, siempre pendiente: nos avisaba de la calima, nos recomendó muy buenos restaurantes, nos informaba de los diferentes mercadillos... fue un placer, y una pena no poder conocerla en persona.
Calidad / precio / atención, inmejorable...
El color verde de la casita, ha impregnado mi viaje.

Ein wundervoller Urlaub!
Nachdem wir letztes Jahr unseren Flug storniert hatten, haben wir es erneut versucht und verbrachten einen sehr schönen Urlaub auf La Palma. Die Casa Maracuja bietet alles was man braucht und ist perfekt für eine kleine Familie mit 1 oder 2 Kindern. Im oberen Teil ist der Wohnbereich mit Balkon und einer super Aussicht bis zum Meer. Wir haben Abends immer auf dem Balkon gegessen - Das war großartig :-).
Unten gibt es 2 Große Betten in verschiedenen Räumen und das Bad. Das Signal der Baby-Cam hats auch bis nach oben geschafft! Von der Ausstattung her fehlt es an nichts, es ist eigentlich wie bei einem Zu Hause, es ist wirklich alles da. Den sehr schönen Innenhof kann man jederzeit nutzen und man kann mit den Kindern die Eidechsen und Schildkröten beobachten. Eine Waschmaschiene war auch vorhanden. Ein spezielles Dank geht an Lucy die uns bei einigen "Problemchen" geholfen hat und immer ein offenes Ohr hatte. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!
Achja, wir waren zu dritt :-)

La Palma

Unique, incredibly cute and absolutely recommendable!
We spent 8 nights in the beautiful Casa PAPAYA 2 (which is currently rented out for a longer period of time) and are absolutely thrilled: Both the very short notice booking, rebooking and the reception were problem-free. As we were travelling with a child (5 months) and a dog, we opted for the large house and were thrilled by the very comprehensive facilities (own sun terrace, own garden, washing machine,..), incredibly lovely furnishings and the unbeatable cleanliness. We enjoyed many hours in the beautiful house and paradisiacal garden in this well connected and yet very quiet environment. Lucy delighted us daily with fresh Canarian bananas and, on request, with information about excursions. On a guided tour through her beautifully and very lovingly tended garden, we were lucky enough to be able to visit the other holiday homes as well: The directly adjacent, very spacious PAPAYA 1 with a spectacular roof terrace and cosy, bright rooms. The very cosy house MARACUJA with its own barbecue area and beautiful private terrace. There is also (on request) the incredibly cute, very well thought-out mini house KIWI, perfect for detail lovers and explorers with its own barbecue area and breakfast place. A thoroughly unbelievably beautiful, very well-maintained finca in a good location with sunrises and great views! Lucy was always immediately available and present with her unobtrusive manner. We had an unforgettably beautiful stay and can highly recommend a holiday at Finca Suculenta!!!

Recommended house - for holidays and even Corona house arrest
The decision to book fell immediately on Casa " Maracuya" when we saw the pictures. And we were not disappointed! It could hardly be more loving, tasteful and creative. And Lucy, the landlady, came up with friendliness and super tips. In the garden we could harvest fruits and herbs. During the Corona house arrest, we benefited from Lucy's organisational talent and were well looked after. The peace and quiet, the view from the terrace and the fantastic garden design compensated us for the lack of hiking. And the nice, well-behaved cats provided variety and entertainment. We would have liked to extend our stay, but we had to use the last plane.
A warm welcome and a well-cared-for stay immediately put you in the holiday mood.
Thank you for everything! We will be back!

Supergemütliches Haus!
Vielen Dank für die liebevolle Betreuung vor Ort durch die Gastgeberin Lucy. Sie war jederzeit mit Tips und Hilfe da. Toll für Kinder durch den angeschlossenen Garten der mitbenutzt werden kann. Hier gab es immer etwas zu entdecken. Der nächste Supermarkt ist auch gleich unterhalb der Srrasse. Das Haus hat im unteren Bereich eine komplette Fussbodenheizung. Alles sehr liebevoll und durchdacht eingerichtet. Küche perfekt ausgestattet. Mit tollem Balkon und Blick auf Santa Cruz.

Urlaub im Paradies
Wir haben uns innerhalb von zehn Minuten wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das Haus ist urgemütlich, die Umgebung und die Aussicht ein Traum. Gemütliches Domizil für eine Auszeit vom Alltag
Wir haben zu zweit einen ruhigen, entspannten Urlaub in der Casa "Maracuya" verbracht. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Vermieterin spricht deutsch und hat uns viele hilfreiche Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants usw. gegeben. Das Häuschen ist gemütlich eingerichtet, hat einen schönen Balkon mit tollem Ausblick und einen Zugang zum Gemüse- und Kräutergarten. Wer Gesellschaft möchte, kann sich die verschmuste Hauskatze ausleihen :). Wir können die Casa "Maracuja" nur empfehlen.
