The detached holiday home WALDHÄUSCHEN is located in NORTH RHINE-WESTPHALIA, in MORSBACH in the BERGISCHES LAND nature park, 65 km east of COLOGNE, extremely quiet and romantic, directly by the forest, with a view of the Morsbach valley.
And yet you can reach the town in just 4 minutes, for shopping, strolling, dining. A beautiful forest garden with pool, terrace, garden furniture, loungers, and barbecue with accessories offers relaxation and plenty of privacy. The small daylight bathroom has a shower & toilet and a window, and is equipped with a good hairdryer, soap dispenser, shower gel, etc. . .
The house can be heated all year round (gas heating).
Additionally, the living room has a wood-burning stove, which provides real coziness especially on cool days. One box of firewood is also available.
Behind the house there is a secluded wooden terrace with garden furniture and a sun umbrella, all surrounded by greenery. You can also sit on the bench under an awning in front of the house, or barbecue on the small terrace by the pool.
GRILL & CHARCOAL are provided.
From June to September you can enjoy the POOL & sunbathe in COMPLETE PRIVACY.
The property is situated on a slope and is completely fenced.
From the parking space for 2 cars, a few steps and about 30m of path lead up to the house.

MORSBACH is located in southern North Rhine-Westphalia, 65 km east of COLOGNE, on the border with Rhineland-Palatinate and offers over 150 km of HIKING TRAILS in a wooded, hilly landscape. From the LOOKOUT TOWER, on clear days you can see the Siebengebirge, the Sauerland, and the Westerwald.
The pretty town has many shops, restaurants and cafés, an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a spa park, a medieval basilica, and beautiful old half-timbered houses. Nearby lies the WATER CASTLE Crottorf in an old park, and in the neighboring village of Eckenhagen there is a large MONKEY and BIRD ADVENTURE PARK and the MONTE-MARE POOL with sauna and wellness area. Natural outdoor pools at the reservoirs in the surrounding area also invite you to swim. A special nature experience is offered by the PANARBORA treetop path near Waldbröl.
For excursions to the Rhine, to Cologne (Cathedral, Old Town, Carnival, musicals, trade fairs such as GAMESCOM, etc.) ) and Bonn, the Siebengebirge, Siegen, Düsseldorf, to dripstone caves, castles, reservoirs, open-air museums, amusement parks, etc. . . Morsbach is the ideal base.

Nostalgic holiday accommodation
We felt very, very comfortable! It was a nostalgic journey through time. Everything you need is there, including peace and solitude. Exactly what we were looking for. The location is simply wonderful, and the property is a dream. We received a lovely, warm welcome with freshly brewed coffee and cake. And for the transition into the new year, Michael brought us a bottle of sparkling wine and snacks! Thank you very much for that. Whoever seeks peace and loves nature is exactly right here! Unfortunately, the pine forest behind the house has fallen victim to the bark beetle. Nevertheless, a great environment for anyone who is very connected to nature and enjoys hiking. The TV could be a size larger. Everything is just a bit outdated.

Absolutely amazing
Dear Helmi and Michael, we and our dog Dana really had a wonderful week in the super forest house! What a lovely cozy house, everything you need is present and you have really thought of everything. A very warm welcome with drinks and cake, and fresh fruit and even new sauces for the BBQ is really incredibly hospitable. The garden is truly fantastic, you can choose where you want to have breakfast... or dinner... The spot by the pool is really nicely done and truly invites you to relax and enjoy the nice BBQ. Absolutely a lot of privacy, and a wonderfully quiet road... I really hated to leave again, I love this peace so much! Thank you for this lovely vacation.

and again a beautiful vacation...
For the second time, my grandchildren, our dog Kira, and I were guests at Mrs. Kirfel's and her son Michael's. The first time in the Owl Land cottage and this time we were allowed to spend our vacation in the forest cottage. It was again wonderfully relaxing days. Thank you for the loving welcome and the lovingly prepared cottage. Our dog thought it was great to have her own forest. The children found it great to splash in the pool and create huge soap bubbles with Michael, as well as explore Morsbach and the surrounding area.
Anyone who loves nature, animals, and absolute peace is exactly right here.
The furnishings with real wood furniture and a fireplace invite you to feel comfortable.
If possible, we will book our next vacation with the Kirfel family again.
Unfortunately, I can only give 5 points here. I would like to rate it with 10. Thank you dear Mrs. Kirfel and dear Michael for the wonderful time.

We have rested...
The small forest house
It is located in a very beautiful small piece of forest, absolutely quiet, and you can only hear the birdsong.
For a welcome, there was fresh coffee, cake, and two Piccolo.
The pool is large enough for cooling off or for children to play.
The mattresses are excellent, which I always find very important, and we lacked nothing in the kitchen.
One should know that the path from the private parking space at the house goes uphill a bit, on somewhat slippery pebbles. For somewhat older people, it is a bit cumbersome to carry the luggage up there, and then there is the five-step staircase.
Well, we could have asked beforehand.
The furnishings of the accommodation were a bit unusual for us.
We were not used to finding carpet and many runners everywhere from our many travels and other apartments.
Maybe we are a bit picky about hygiene regulations? But we would rather not take over the started grill sauces of our predecessors, just like the yellowed back brush found in the shower. The fruit that our predecessors had not eaten also remained for us. In any case, we recovered very well, and there was indeed a lot to see. Because where else do you come across so much knickknack that has probably been painstakingly accumulated for decades? Gorgeous plastic flowers, slightly sticky and dusty, are allowed to bloom here in beautiful tin vases from the 70s.
Books that would be unsold at any flea market can even be taken here as a gift.
Furniture from every era adorns the apartment.
Whether modern or in Gelsenkirchen Baroque style, you will find everything here to feel comfortable; there is simply something for every taste. In a display case with a wood look, there are glasses and bowls that nostalgically reminded me of my grandma. Next to it stands a gold-colored floor lamp that only has enough space to have to stand crooked.

Es tut mir sehr leid , dass es Ihnen hier nicht gefallen hat. Aber diese Bewertung ist wirklich nicht gerecht und völlig überzogen.
Offenbar sind die Möbel (hauptsächlich Kiefernholz), die Teppiche (nirgends ist Teppichboden sondern Holzböden ! ), das Geschirr
und selbst meine Bücher nicht nach Ihrem Geschmack.
Aber das hätte man auf den FOTOS doch schon sehen können. Warum mieten Sie das denn ?
Es gibt keinen Grund , hier unwahre Behauptungen zu verbreiten :
Unhygienische Teppichböden existieren hier gar nicht,
auch "klebrige Plastikblumen in Zinnvasen" und "Gelsenkirchener Barock"-Möbel
gibt es hier überhaupt nicht.
Noch schlimmer:
Übriggebliebene Lebensmittel und "das Obst was unsere Vorgänger nicht gegessen hatten" wird man hier NIEMALS finden !
Das Obst habe ich am Vortag extra für Sie gekauft. Das mache ich immer so, und die meisten Gäste freuen sich darüber.

Dream vacation in the forest house "Eulenland"
One week in pure nature... My 2 grandchildren and I spent our holiday from 23.07-30.07.2023 at the Forest House "Eulenland". The warm welcome from Mrs. Kirfel and her son with coffee, cake, juice, sweets and sparkling wine... I have never experienced anything like it before. In the house, we immediately felt at home. Everything was very clean, everything you need is available and very lovingly furnished. The outdoor area with pool and roof terrace and lots of nature is just great, relaxation guaranteed. It can't get any better. A special thanks to Mr. M. Kirfel. He brought the children wax and glitter pens to brighten up their day in bad weather. We will definitely go back to Morsbach to the beautiful Forest House "Eulenland".
