The detached holiday home WALDHAUS EULENLAND is located in NORTH RHEIN-WEST FALEN,
in MORSBACH in the nature park BERGISCHES LAND, east of KÖLN,
very quiet and romantic, in wooded surroundings, with a view of the Morsbach valley.
And yet you are only 4 minutes away from the town, for shopping, strolling, eating out.... . . .
Our beautiful forest garden with pool, terrace, veranda, garden furniture, loungers and barbecue with accessories offers relaxation and plenty of privacy.
The wooded mountain area brings ideal relaxation for body + soul:
In SUMMER while swimming, barbecuing, walking and picnicking . . . .
in AUTUMN mushroom picking, hiking and evenings by the fireplace . . . .
. in WINTER walking in the snow and mulled wine at the Christmas market or romantically celebrating New Year's Eve, of course with sparkling wine and nibbles provided for you.
The romantic little holiday house has been renovated and comfortably furnished for up to 5 people, to relax and feel good, with 2 BEDROOMS, the first with a 1.40 m wide double bed, the second with 2.00 m long bunk beds.
The spacious LIVING ROOM has a cosy sofa with pillows, on which you can also sleep well, a large flat-screen TV, an extendable dining table with chairs and a new, cosy wood-burning stove. The bookshelf has games and books for adults and children, and there is also a DVD player and a stereo system + CDs.
The KITCHEN is fully equipped with all appliances, including dishwasher and also many spices, vinegar and oil, coffee, cocoa and many teas, barbecue sauces in the fridge and much more . . .
The SHOWER BATH already contains everything you need (except for the toothbrush), even small visitors have been
have been thought of. You also have daylight here, and a window with a view of the greenery.
In addition, there is a hallway with a vestibule
and a housekeeping room with washing machine and dryer, ironing board and iron, hoover and various cleaning things.
From the living room you step outside onto the small TERRACE with seating area and parasol.
A barbecue with all accessories is also ready.
On the other side of the house is a large, covered and furnished VERANDA. A real favourite place.
In front of the house entrance is an all-round fenced garden area, and downstairs is the sunbathing lawn with pool and gazebo, the children's play area with sandpit and playhouse, and the car parking space. A well-lit staircase with some wide steps leads up to the house.
The POOL is available from May to October.

Whoever has been in the house knows why it's called "Eulenland"
We were personally greeted, coffee, champagne, orange juice and Christmas treats were ready for us. But first we received an introduction to where everything was and we could also ask questions. Not only is the kitchen very well equipped, but you can also find everything from shoehorns to cleaning supplies, sewing kits, books, games, and so on. The apartment is lovingly decorated with owls. The location is wonderfully quiet, I could sleep very well and relax in the peace and quiet. From the terrace, you have an unobstructed view of a woodland area. There are several cozy seating areas in the garden. We were there in December and therefore preferred the seats in the living room by the fireplace. From there, you could watch the birds very well as they picked up their daily ration of sunflower seeds at the feeding station. On New Year's Eve, Mrs. Kirfel's son brought us a surprise package with champagne, chips, etc. Great service! Food and water bowls, toys, and treats were ready for our dogs upon arrival. There are several dog walks that you can do from the house. I think our two would have liked to stay there. Overall, it was a successful holiday!

Pure nature
We felt immediately welcome with a warm reception. We had good weather so we were able to use the pool every afternoon. Those who need peace and quiet are well accommodated here. Excursions are easily reachable by car.

Dream vacation in the forest house "Eulenland"
One week in pure nature... My 2 grandchildren and I spent our holiday from 23.07-30.07.2023 at the Forest House "Eulenland". The warm welcome from Mrs. Kirfel and her son with coffee, cake, juice, sweets and sparkling wine... I have never experienced anything like it before. In the house, we immediately felt at home. Everything was very clean, everything you need is available and very lovingly furnished. The outdoor area with pool and roof terrace and lots of nature is just great, relaxation guaranteed. It can't get any better. A special thanks to Mr. M. Kirfel. He brought the children wax and glitter pens to brighten up their day in bad weather. We will definitely go back to Morsbach to the beautiful Forest House "Eulenland".

"Waldhaus 'Eulenland' is always worth a trip!"
We stayed at the Waldhaus "Eulenland" from 02.07. - 09.07.2023. If you need peace and relaxation from the stress of everyday life, this is the right place for you. Fam. Kirfel personally welcomed us and there was already coffee, cake, sparkling wine, and orange juice ready! Our dog also got something delicious! She also liked it here very much ?? We will gladly come back ???

Waldhaus ohne Wald
Wir haben zum Jahreswechsel 22/23 ein paar Tage im Waldhaus Eulenland verbracht. Bei Ankunft waren wir sehr überrascht, dass der in der Hausbeschreibung erwähnte Wald nicht mehr existiert, weil er dem Borkenkäfer zum Opfer gefallen ist.
Dadurch war es auch an Silvester nicht sehr leise, so wie uns das in der Objektbeschreibung versprochen worden war. Unser Hund hat ziemlich unter der Knallerei gelitten, was wir eigentlich vermeiden wollten. Die Beschreibung hat die Vermieterin allerdings mittlerweile geändert.
Das Haus ist ziemlich dunkel, etwas muffig und mit unzähligen Eulen dekoriert.
Die angebrochenen Grillsaucen, die wohl noch vom letzten Sommer übrig geblieben, im Kühlschrank standen, sind Geschmacksache.
Am schönsten am Waldhaus Eulenland ist das gut besuchte Vogelhaus im Garten!
Sehr nett war der Sohn der Vermieterin, der uns empfangen hat und an Silvester Sekt und Knabbereien vorbei brachte.

DU MEINE GÜTE !
Es tut mir sehr leid , dass es Ihnen hier nicht gefallen hat. Aber diese Bewertung ist wirklich nicht gerecht und völlig überzogen.
Dass unsere Wälder mittlerweile ziemlich gebeutelt wurden von Hitzesommern, Trockenheit und Borkenkäfern ist ja allgemein bekannt. Im letzten Winter wurden auch hier viele Bäume gefällt. Die hohen, dunklen Fichten hinter unserem Grundstück, am Hang, gibt es nun nicht mehr. Da ist jetzt eine große, sonnige Lichtung, die schon wieder aufgeforstet wurde. Auch weitere Hänge haben sich im Winter ziemlich verändert. Aber die ganze Umgebung ist immer noch waldreich, und es gibt auch viel Laub- und Mischwald.
Unser Waldgarten ist auch vollständig erhalten und gepflegt.
Das Haus ist NICHT muffig, und " Grillsaucen vom letzten Sommer" wird man hier NIE finden ! - Ich verstehe diese Bewertung nicht -

Pure relaxation
The Waldhaus Eulenland stands for a dream holiday when peace, relaxation, nature and cosiness are desired. The lovely furnishings leave nothing to be desired and always gave us the feeling of coming home after excursions. We arrived with our cat Tamino who, after 2 days of getting used to the house, also enjoyed the veranda, the garden and the "wild" surrounding countryside
The beautiful late summer weather gave us the opportunity to use the pool, then autumn showed its golden side and on the cool evenings the fireplace made everything even cosier. Not to forget the beautiful starry sky at night with hardly any artificial light and absolute silence, except for the calling of the owls and owls .... how fitting !
Thanks to the Kirfel family for the very warm welcome and the nice neighbourly care, especially the especially delicious homemade jams.
We will be happy to come back when a break is needed, as a threesome, as a couple or for a long weekend alone to come down after work
Morsbach is only a stone's throw away, and the second forest cottage also wants to be experienced.

Family holiday
We spent three wonderful weeks in the holiday home Eulenland.
The house is equipped with everything you need to feel good. We had a wonderful sunny holiday with our grandchildren and the children enjoyed the pool.
Mrs Kirfel and her son are very nice and loving hosts.

Simply dreamlike!!!
I had a truly fantastic, quiet and relaxing holiday in "Eulenland"!!! Here you can really let your soul dangle, just switch off, lie in the garden or swim a bit in the pool, or make yourself comfortable in the house and think about nothing, just watch the bees and other little animals in the garden, or the birds and squirrels at the bird house. Not to forget: the funny fireflies that buzz through the garden late in the evening in summer! The house itself has been lovingly furnished, is very cosy and equipped with everything you need. And if anything is missing, the owner and her son are extremely nice and helpful, a real pleasure. And the village of Morsbach is only a few minutes away by car, with several well-stocked shops, restaurants and petrol station, where you can get everything you need. So if you want to really relax, "Eulenland" is the place for you. 100% recommendation from me!

Es war wirklich schön
Das Haus sowie das Umfeld sind sehr schön und man kommt zur Ruhe. Die Vermieterin sowie ihr Sohn waren sehr aufmerksam und wirklich nett.

Einfach nur genial
Wunderschön alles: das toll ausgestattete FH, die Lage, der Pool, die Ruhe dort, die vielen Piepmätze an den Vogelhäuschen, der Parkplatz gleich vor dem Anwesen. Wir sind immer noch begeistert. Nicht zu vergessen der nette Empfang (Kaffee o. Tee, Kuchen, gedeckter Tisch, Willkommenstrunk, Futter und Wasser für den Hund) . Frau Kirfel ist sehr nett, auch ihr Sohn, der neben dem FH wohnt und sehr hilfsbereit ist und ansonsten in keiner Weise stört!! Unseren Hündin (Labrador/Bernhardiner-Mix) hat sich auch sehr wohl gefühlt, viel Platz zum Spielen und Gassi gehen im Wald oder auf den Wiesen drum herum. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!! Haben uns noch nie besser erholt und neue Kraft geschöpft!

Super Ferienhaus
Einfach ein Traum dieses Ferienhaus der Familie Kirfel. Waren jetzt das zweite Mal dort und es war traumhaft, wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht ist hier richtig. Sind als Paar mit unseren beiden Hunden dort gewesen und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.
Ein eingezäunter Garten ausbruchsicher auch für Dackel. Im Haus alles was man braucht und wirklich alles angefangen mit Wolldecken wenn es mal kühler wird bis Gewürze, kann gar nicht alles auf zählen...
Bei unserer Ankunft war Kaffee auf geschüttet und es stand Kuchen und Sekt dort.
Man fühlt sich als Gast und eine nettere Gastgeberin als Frau Kirfel gibt es nicht.
Leider war die Woche so schnell vorbei, aber wir drohen damit wieder zu kommen.

Ein Traum
Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Frau Kirfel. Der herzliche Empfang ist nicht immer selbstverständlich und wir waren überwältigt. Der Kaffeetisch war liebevoll gedeckt und unser Vierbeiner wurde mit Leckerli und frischem Wasser empfangen. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet mit allem was man so braucht. Auf der überdachten Terrasse haben wir morgens gefrühstückt und und dem regen Betrieb im vogelhäuschen zugesehen. Die himmlische Ruhe war für uns genau das richtige um ein paar Tage zu entspannen . Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

vielen Dank für Ihren herzlichen Empfang mit Kaffee/Tee und Kuchen. Das Ferienhaus hatte alles - es hat an nichts gefehlt. Selbst Nähzeug war vorhanden. Alles was ein Haushalt benötigt. Das Wetter war sehr schön und heiß. Da war der Pool für eine Abkühlung genau das richtige :-). Die Ruhe war einzigartig. Also wär die Ruhe mag, der ist genau richtig dort.
Wir kommen gern nochmal wieder :-).

Urlaubswoche im Eulenland
Ganz herzlich möchten wir uns bei Frau Kirfel für den so liebevollen Empfang bedanken - so herzlich haben wir, drei Freundinnen mit Hund, das noch nie erlebt!
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt im Eulenland, das Ferienhaus ist sehr gemütlich, alles nötige ist vorhanden, die Ruhe himmlisch, die Lage optimal zum Wandern und Entspannen, und selbst bei schlechtem Wetter findet man genug trockene und behagliche Plätze ums Haus. Besondere Freude hat uns das Vogelhaus mit regem Besuch gemacht.
Alles in allem: das Haus ist absolut empfehlenswert!

5 well-deserved stars !
A place of peace and relaxation, everything you need is there, even shower gel, soap in a dispenser, ear sticks, enough washing-up liquid, fruit on the table, lots of spices, orange juice in the fridge, sparkling wine, coffee and cake at the reception and even the dogs' table was lovingly and invitingly set.... all respect! We have never experienced it like this anywhere else. Outside there is a large garden, a small part of which is completely fenced off if you have dogs with you. From there, you can enter the forest through a small door and quickly take the dog for a walk. The veranda was the highlight for us, as it was very large, completely undisturbed, surrounded by trees and birds sitting in them. Just as great is the pool, which is incredibly refreshing. The house and the garden are lovingly decorated with many details. The landlords are very friendly and absolutely unobtrusive, (which my husband and I have often experienced differently) ... we felt totally comfortable and at home, many thanks to Mrs Kirfel and we think we will come again. My conclusion: This place is absolutely recommendable, therefore 5 out of 5 possible stars.

The Waldhaus Eulenland is super equipped, there was really nothing missing.
Mrs Kirfel is unbeatable, we have never had such a warm welcome.
The location of the house is for recreation seekers, hikers, guests with children and / or dog

Erholung und Ruhe *TOP *
Angefangen von einem sehr netten und freundlichen Empfang und einen liebevoll gedeckten Kaffeetisch... natürlich war auch für die Fellnase alles vorbereitet ... über ein perfekt ausgestattetes, romantisches Ferienhaus direkt am Waldrand gelegen, bis hin zu einer absoluten Ruhe, die uns seit langer Zeit mal wieder richtig lange ausschlafen hat lassen... war es eine absolute Erholung.
Frau Kirfel hat uns mit ihrer Ausstrahlung und ihrer liebevollen Art direkt ein Gefühl von Zu Hause "bei Muttern" (lieb gemeint) gegeben. Vielen Dank für Alles an dieser Stelle nochmal !!!

Ein Frauen-Wochenende mit zwei Hunden
Wir wurden toll empfangen (Kaffee und Kuchen für die Menschen und Wasser und Leckerchen für die Hunde)! Das Haus ist wirklich mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, selbst Teelichter und Duschgel fehlten nicht! Die Hunde konnten sich frei bewegen, da der obere Garten einzäunt ist. Es gibt zahlreiche Sitzgelegenheiten, für schlechtes und für schönes Wetter. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen und bietet (wie im Oberbergischen erhofft) viel Landschaft.
Es war ein schönes, erholsames Wochenende und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Wer wirklich entspannung sucht dem ist dieses Ferienhaus weiter zu empfehlen!

Our family moved from Cologne to Morsbach more than 20 years ago, and in 2003 we bought the small holiday home WALDHÄUSCHEN, which I gladly rent out to our guests with the help of my husband and son. Dog(s) and cat(s) are also welcome. Now, in 2015, the WALDHAUS EULENLAND has been added, big enough for 1 family with 5 persons. We want you to feel at home and comfortable from the very first moment. You will be welcomed as if you were at a friend's house and will then be completely undisturbed; but of course we are always available for you with help and advice. So let us know your wishes.
