Pure forest idyll

We, my husband, our tomcat Tamino, and I were once again in the Owl Land and, as hoped and expected, had a wonderful time relaxing. The house offers everything for a carefree vacation in the midst of nature, to unwind from everyday life and to find peace and relaxation. With the Kirfel family, you have warm and helpful hosts who are always approachable. The idyll in Amberg/Morsbach is also a good starting point for many activities, and the trips through the beautiful Oberbergische region are always an experience for nature lovers. It was a pleasure for us again, and we will definitely come back.

A fabulous vacation!

If we could give more than 5 stars, we would do it immediately. Never before have we experienced such a hospitable atmosphere in a holiday home.
Here you are in good hands, dogs are not only tolerated but genuinely welcomed, and you can feel it too. :)
Everything has been thought of in this holiday home, when we arrived, the beds were made and fresh coffee and cake were waiting for us on the table. Thanks again to Micha, who explained and showed us everything and was always available for questions or concerns!
The pool was also extensively used this week, it made our holiday even more enjoyable.
Otherwise, you get exactly what is promised. Peace, a great view of the forest and meadows, and simply relaxation in nature.
We would love to come back to this great house next year. Dear Kirfel family, until then, we wish you all the best and many more pleasant holiday guests.

Whoever has been in the house knows why it's called "Eulenland"

We were personally greeted, coffee, champagne, orange juice and Christmas treats were ready for us. But first we received an introduction to where everything was and we could also ask questions. Not only is the kitchen very well equipped, but you can also find everything from shoehorns to cleaning supplies, sewing kits, books, games, and so on. The apartment is lovingly decorated with owls. The location is wonderfully quiet, I could sleep very well and relax in the peace and quiet. From the terrace, you have an unobstructed view of a woodland area. There are several cozy seating areas in the garden. We were there in December and therefore preferred the seats in the living room by the fireplace. From there, you could watch the birds very well as they picked up their daily ration of sunflower seeds at the feeding station. On New Year's Eve, Mrs. Kirfel's son brought us a surprise package with champagne, chips, etc. Great service! Food and water bowls, toys, and treats were ready for our dogs upon arrival. There are several dog walks that you can do from the house. I think our two would have liked to stay there. Overall, it was a successful holiday!

Pure nature

We felt immediately welcome with a warm reception. We had good weather so we were able to use the pool every afternoon. Those who need peace and quiet are well accommodated here. Excursions are easily reachable by car.

Review

We had a fantastic week, a very warm welcome with coffee and something tasty and a drink, truly amazing!
The location is beautiful, a lovely veranda with a stunning view.
We really felt at home, the cottage has all the comforts, highly recommended!

"Waldhaus 'Eulenland' is always worth a trip!"

We stayed at the Waldhaus "Eulenland" from 02.07. - 09.07.2023. If you need peace and relaxation from the stress of everyday life, this is the right place for you. Fam. Kirfel personally welcomed us and there was already coffee, cake, sparkling wine, and orange juice ready! Our dog also got something delicious! She also liked it here very much ?? We will gladly come back ???

Forest house without forest

We spent a few days at Waldhaus Eulenland over the New Year's Eve transition 22/23. Upon arrival, we were very surprised to find that the forest mentioned in the house description no longer exists, as it has fallen victim to the bark beetle. As a result, it was not very quiet on New Year's Eve, as promised in the property description. Our dog suffered quite a bit from the fireworks, which we had actually wanted to avoid. The description has been changed by the landlady in the meantime.
The house is quite dark, a bit musty, and decorated with countless owls.
The opened barbecue sauces that must have been left over from last summer in the fridge are a matter of taste.
The most beautiful thing about Waldhaus Eulenland is the well-visited birdhouse in the garden!
The landlady's son, who welcomed us and brought sparkling wine and snacks on New Year's Eve, was very nice.

Pure relaxation

The Waldhaus Eulenland stands for a dream holiday when peace, relaxation, nature and cosiness are desired. The lovely furnishings leave nothing to be desired and always gave us the feeling of coming home after excursions. We arrived with our cat Tamino who, after 2 days of getting used to the house, also enjoyed the veranda, the garden and the "wild" surrounding countryside
The beautiful late summer weather gave us the opportunity to use the pool, then autumn showed its golden side and on the cool evenings the fireplace made everything even cosier. Not to forget the beautiful starry sky at night with hardly any artificial light and absolute silence, except for the calling of the owls and owls .... how fitting !
Thanks to the Kirfel family for the very warm welcome and the nice neighbourly care, especially the especially delicious homemade jams.
We will be happy to come back when a break is needed, as a threesome, as a couple or for a long weekend alone to come down after work
Morsbach is only a stone's throw away, and the second forest cottage also wants to be experienced.

Family holiday

We spent three wonderful weeks in the holiday home Eulenland.
The house is equipped with everything you need to feel good. We had a wonderful sunny holiday with our grandchildren and the children enjoyed the pool.
Mrs Kirfel and her son are very nice and loving hosts.

Simply dreamlike!!!

I had a truly fantastic, quiet and relaxing holiday in "Eulenland"!!! Here you can really let your soul dangle, just switch off, lie in the garden or swim a bit in the pool, or make yourself comfortable in the house and think about nothing, just watch the bees and other little animals in the garden, or the birds and squirrels at the bird house. Not to forget: the funny fireflies that buzz through the garden late in the evening in summer! The house itself has been lovingly furnished, is very cosy and equipped with everything you need. And if anything is missing, the owner and her son are extremely nice and helpful, a real pleasure. And the village of Morsbach is only a few minutes away by car, with several well-stocked shops, restaurants and petrol station, where you can get everything you need. So if you want to really relax, "Eulenland" is the place for you. 100% recommendation from me!

Simply brilliant

Everything is wonderful: the fantastically equipped holiday home, the location, the pool, the peace there, the many birds at the bird feeders, the parking right in front of the property. We are still thrilled. Not to forget the nice welcome (coffee or tea, cake, set table, welcome drink, food and water for the dog). Mrs. Kirfel is very nice, as is her son, who lives next to the holiday home, is very helpful, and otherwise does not disturb in any way!! Our dog (Labrador/Saint Bernard mix) also felt very comfortable, lots of space to play and walk in the forest or on the surrounding meadows. We will gladly come back! We have never felt more relaxed and rejuvenated!

Super Ferienhaus

Simply a dream, this vacation home of the Kirfel family. We were there for the second time now and it was fantastic; whoever seeks peace and relaxation is in the right place. We were there as a couple with our two dogs and we lacked for nothing.
A fenced garden, escape-proof even for dachshunds. In the house, everything one needs, and truly everything, starting with wool blankets for when it gets cooler to spices, I can't list everything... When we arrived, coffee was ready and there was cake and champagne there.
You feel like a guest and there is no nicer hostess than Mrs. Kirfel.
Unfortunately, the week was over so quickly, but we threaten to come back again.

Ein Traum

A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Kirfel. The warm welcome is not always a given, and we were overwhelmed. The coffee table was lovingly set, and our four-legged friend was greeted with treats and fresh water. The house is very lovingly furnished with everything you need. We had breakfast on the covered terrace in the mornings and watched the busy activity in the birdhouse. The heavenly peace was just right for us to relax for a few days. We felt very comfortable in this place.

Thank you very much for your warm welcome with coffee/tea and cake. The holiday home had everything - nothing was missing. Even sewing kit was available. Everything a household needs. The weather was very nice and hot. So, the pool was just right for a cooling off :-). The peace and quiet was unique. So, for those who love peace and quiet, this is the perfect place.

We would love to come back again :-).

Holiday week in Owl Land

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Kirfel for the warm welcome - we, three friends with a dog, have never experienced such a warm welcome! We felt very comfortable in Eulenland, the holiday home is very cozy, everything necessary is available, the tranquility is heavenly, the location is optimal for hiking and relaxing, and even in bad weather, there are enough dry and cozy spots around the house. We especially enjoyed the birdhouse with its lively visitors. All in all: the house is absolutely recommendable!

5 well-deserved stars !

A place of peace and relaxation, everything you need is there, even shower gel, soap in a dispenser, ear sticks, enough washing-up liquid, fruit on the table, lots of spices, orange juice in the fridge, sparkling wine, coffee and cake at the reception and even the dogs' table was lovingly and invitingly set.... all respect! We have never experienced it like this anywhere else. Outside there is a large garden, a small part of which is completely fenced off if you have dogs with you. From there, you can enter the forest through a small door and quickly take the dog for a walk. The veranda was the highlight for us, as it was very large, completely undisturbed, surrounded by trees and birds sitting in them. Just as great is the pool, which is incredibly refreshing. The house and the garden are lovingly decorated with many details. The landlords are very friendly and absolutely unobtrusive, (which my husband and I have often experienced differently) ... we felt totally comfortable and at home, many thanks to Mrs Kirfel and we think we will come again. My conclusion: This place is absolutely recommendable, therefore 5 out of 5 possible stars.

Holiday as it should be, pure relaxation!

The Waldhaus Eulenland is super equipped, there was really nothing missing.
Mrs Kirfel is unbeatable, we have never had such a warm welcome.
The location of the house is for recreation seekers, hikers, guests with children and / or dog

Recreation and rest *TOP *

Starting with a very nice and friendly welcome and a lovingly set coffee table. . . of course, everything was prepared for the furry friend as well. . . to a perfectly equipped, romantic holiday home located right on the edge of the forest, and to complete peace and quiet that allowed us to sleep in really long for the first time in a long time. . . it was an absolute recovery. Mrs. Kirfel welcomed us with her charisma and loving nature, giving us a feeling of being "at home with mother” (affectionate meaning) right away. Thank you very much for everything once again! We will come back!

A women's weekend with two dogs.

We were warmly welcomed (coffee and cake for the people and water and treats for the dogs)! The house is really equipped with everything you need, even tea lights and shower gel were not missing! The dogs could move around freely as the upper garden is fenced. There are numerous seating areas for both bad and good weather. The house is quietly located and offers (as hoped for in the Upper Bergisches Land) a lot of scenery. It was a beautiful, relaxing weekend and we would love to come back again!

Those who are really looking for relaxation, this holiday home is highly recommended! Almost in the middle of the forest, everything you need, even a pool, fireplace, etc. perfect for relaxing, very beautiful surroundings, you can do a lot. The holiday home is clean, and we received a very warm welcome.
