MORSBACH is located in southern North Rhine-Westphalia, 65 km east of COLOGNE, on the border with Rhineland-Palatinate and offers over 150 km of hiking trails in a wooded, hilly landscape.
From the observation tower, you can see the Siebengebirge, the Sauerland, and the Westerwald on clear days.
The pretty town has many shops, restaurants and cafés, an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, a spa park, a medieval basilica, and pretty old half-timbered houses. Nearby lies the Crottorf moated castle in a beautiful old park,
the neighboring town of Waldbröl offers regular farmers' markets and
recently a TREE-TOP WALK,
in nearby Eckenhagen a visit to the large Monkey & Bird Adventure Park
and the Monte Mare pool with sauna and wellness area is worthwhile.
Natural outdoor pools at the reservoirs in the area also invite you to swim.
Excursions to the Rhine, to Cologne (cathedral, old town, carnival, musicals, GamesCom . . . ) and Bonn, the Siebengebirge, Siegen, Düsseldorf,
to dripstone caves, castles, dams, open-air museums etc. . . . Morsbach is the ideal base.

We are quickly and easily accessible via the A4 motorway Cologne-Olpe
or the Sauerland line A45 Dortmund-Frankfurt,
and after another 15 to 20 minutes you will reach your destination,
completely away from noise and hustle,
just relax and enjoy!

Perfect accommodation with a dog, beautiful tranquility, and a very relaxed departure day until 4 PM.
We were there for 1 week with 2 people and a very large dog. The house is fully equipped, and the warm welcome and introduction were amazing. There were treats for the dog, and for us, fresh coffee and cake, a fruit bowl, and 2 Piccolo and orange juice were ready. You don't have to drive every day since you can walk very nicely from the house. The terrace with a panoramic view is very large and cozy. From the living room, the birdhouse is very exciting to observe, especially when the squirrel comes by.
1 week was way too short, and we would love to come back.

Pure forest idyll
We, my husband, our tomcat Tamino, and I were once again in the Owl Land and, as hoped and expected, had a wonderful time relaxing. The house offers everything for a carefree vacation in the midst of nature, to unwind from everyday life and to find peace and relaxation. With the Kirfel family, you have warm and helpful hosts who are always approachable. The idyll in Amberg/Morsbach is also a good starting point for many activities, and the trips through the beautiful Oberbergische region are always an experience for nature lovers. It was a pleasure for us again, and we will definitely come back.

A fabulous vacation!
If we could give more than 5 stars, we would do it immediately. Never before have we experienced such a hospitable atmosphere in a holiday home.
Here you are in good hands, dogs are not only tolerated but genuinely welcomed, and you can feel it too. :)
Everything has been thought of in this holiday home, when we arrived, the beds were made and fresh coffee and cake were waiting for us on the table. Thanks again to Micha, who explained and showed us everything and was always available for questions or concerns!
The pool was also extensively used this week, it made our holiday even more enjoyable.
Otherwise, you get exactly what is promised. Peace, a great view of the forest and meadows, and simply relaxation in nature.
We would love to come back to this great house next year. Dear Kirfel family, until then, we wish you all the best and many more pleasant holiday guests.

Whoever has been in the house knows why it's called "Eulenland"
We were personally greeted, coffee, champagne, orange juice and Christmas treats were ready for us. But first we received an introduction to where everything was and we could also ask questions. Not only is the kitchen very well equipped, but you can also find everything from shoehorns to cleaning supplies, sewing kits, books, games, and so on. The apartment is lovingly decorated with owls. The location is wonderfully quiet, I could sleep very well and relax in the peace and quiet. From the terrace, you have an unobstructed view of a woodland area. There are several cozy seating areas in the garden. We were there in December and therefore preferred the seats in the living room by the fireplace. From there, you could watch the birds very well as they picked up their daily ration of sunflower seeds at the feeding station. On New Year's Eve, Mrs. Kirfel's son brought us a surprise package with champagne, chips, etc. Great service! Food and water bowls, toys, and treats were ready for our dogs upon arrival. There are several dog walks that you can do from the house. I think our two would have liked to stay there. Overall, it was a successful holiday!

Pure nature
We felt immediately welcome with a warm reception. We had good weather so we were able to use the pool every afternoon. Those who need peace and quiet are well accommodated here. Excursions are easily reachable by car.
