The holiday apartment is located on the ground floor of a typical Allgäu house in Sonthofen, in the district of Berghofen near the Grünten mountain. The apartment consists of a bedroom with a double bed (200x160), wardrobe and television, bathroom with steam shower and whirlpool tub, living room with wood-burning stove, L-shaped kitchen, dining area, sofa and wall unit (television). The sofa can be converted into a sofa bed (190x140). Outside there is a terrace. Terrace furniture is available, wooden privacy fence to the neighboring house and to the street, not completely fenced in, wind protection towards the meadow, sun umbrella, grill. A reserved parking space for a car is available directly on the street at the entrance to the property. A shed for bicycles or skis is also available on request. The apartment is small but nice. A couple with a dog lives in the house.

The district of Berghofen is rural with an original village structure and is directly attached to Sonthofen. It is just under 2 kilometres to the town centre of Sonthofen. Nearby: Oberstdorf, Bad Hindelang, Kempten, Immenstadt, Sonthofen belongs to the "Alpsee-Grünten holiday region" and offers close-to-nature, family-friendly recreational and active holidays in the middle of the Upper Allgäu. In summer you can go hiking, cycling and swimming. In winter, there are several nearby skiing areas such as Ofterschwang, Bolsterlang, Nebelhorn, Fellhorn, Söllereck Whether museums, shops and businesses, restaurants, the Wonnemar for swimming, the Starzlachklamm, many alpine pastures and beautiful countryside in the surrounding area - everything is on offer!

A little disappointed
We rented the apartment for 10 days and can only recommend it to a limited extent. The mattress in the double bed, which is sufficient in size, is unfortunately sagging and you roll towards the middle, so a new purchase would be necessary. Furthermore, new, especially sharp knives in the kitchen would be recommendable. Unfortunately, the apartment is also very soundproofing upwards, and the tenants above, who are nice, do not really take care. The steam function of the shower is unfortunately also defective, the well-intentioned alternative seating area behind the house is not really usable, as it is very narrow and you cannot sit comfortably. The main terrace is intended for shared use with the long-term tenants. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, the apartment may not be quite right. Otherwise, the apartment is quite cozy but also very dark. After daily activities, one perhaps also wishes to sit on the terrace in good weather and expects to find relaxation. Not to have the tenants and surrounding neighbors drinking beer, renovating, and repairing various machines and equipment in the courtyard every evening until late at night.

Danke für Ihr Feedback. Sehr schade, dass sie enttäuscht sind. Probleme wie unscharfe Messer in der Küche sollten und können jederzeit sofort an uns und die Verwalter herangetragen werden, damit wir noch während ihres Urlaubs eine Chance haben zu reagieren. Die Messer werden wir sofort prüfen. Die Matratze ist relativ neu, aber auch diese werden wir selbstverständlich gleich überprüfen. Die Wohnung liegt im Erdgeschoss eines Hauses mit einer weiteren Wohnung und das Haus liegt in einem Wohngebiet, so ist es auch beschrieben. Und auf die Mieter lasse ich nichts kommen, sie nehmen Rücksicht und kümmern sich sofort, wenn es etwas zu kümmern gibt. Der Dampf in der Dusche ist defekt und wird repariert, sobald es möglich ist ohne Gäste dadurch zu stören. Die Reparatur ist leider etwas aufwändiger und in der Zeit kann weder Bad noch Wohnung benutzt werden. Wir planen es passend ein. Die Terrasse steht für Gäste zur Verfügung. Das haben wir extra so geändert, weil das Feedback vorher so war, dass die Terrasse besser wäre, als der Garten. Wir werten die Rückmeldungen laufend aus und passen an und das werden wir auch gern weiterhin tun. Deshalb nochmal eine Dankeschön für ihre Anregungen.

Very cosy little flat.
The two of us were able to enjoy a very cosy and relaxed time in this flat
Everything you need was there.
The flat was clean and the bathroom was the highlight.
The contact with the landlords, as with the permanent tenants, was very good and friendly
We can recommend the flat to others.
P.S.: In our opinion, it is not suitable for more than 2 adults and 1 child/or dog, as it is quite small.

Enttäuschend
From the apartment, there is no view of the Grünten. Instead, you look at the wall of the neighboring house. The kitchen is worn out and lacks good and new equipment. The living room couch is stained and uncomfortable. The laminate is broken and scratched. Even the "feel-good" bathroom failed to impress. The bathtub is very scratched, which you can't see but feel when you sit in it. The toilet bowl has a large crack, and the shower cabin is not pleasant to look at in the lower area. The only positive aspect is the central location. Otherwise disappointing.

We are a small family and like to rent out this cosy little apartment in the beautiful Allgäu. The flat is furnished the way we like it and we like to spend our holidays there ourselves.
