Casa Marta is a nice and spacious 18th-century recently (2004) fully restored stone house with three floors spanning total 105 m2. Provided with 2 televisions (1 satellite), radio, DVD, CD player etc. A central heating (gas) system has also been installed. And naturally a working fireplace adorns the second floor, as how would a countryside house be completed without one! The house is fully furnished with all new or antique pieces (Tuscan pieces from yhe 19th century).
These house is nestled in a small mountain village called Pascoso (county of Pescaglia, province of Lucca, Tuscany, Italy), in the Apuane Park, 700m above sea level. Pascoso has just 100 inhabitants (and 2 restaurants and 1 general store), and is so small with such narrow stone roads that cars enter town along a short strip in the main road only. Nearly all the houses in the town are built in stone, including their rooftops, and the smooth stones in the streets were laid hundreds of year ago. Pascoso is a hiker's paradise; however it is not far from the "cities of arts" of Tuscany: Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Siena are 24, 48, 96 and 144 km far; moreover Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, among the most famous Italian beaches, are 48 km far (including 24 on the highway).
Attention: the house is nestled on a hill, with three floors on one side and two on the other.

We, family with three young children, spent a great week in the surroundings. With great walks, ook good with young children. Just as our three year old climbed up by herself. Beautiful views. Day trip to Lucca, beach or caves is do-able.

Too bad, not what we had hoped.

We stayed three weeks in this beautiful house in a tiny village in the mountains. What a wonderful place! The house is fully equipped, has a nice decor was fine and clean. Everything is there, from kitchen utensils to extra chairs and umbrella 's, and from shopping bags to a stocked bookcase to browse in. The ground floor of the house (where the master bedroom) is somewhat damp. There is a device for there what to do. And there are extra blankets as the

Great base for adventure walks in the mountains. A beautifully restored century-old house on the edge of a very small old village.

Pascoso emerged as a meeting place for shepherds. That quiet atmosphere still hang. Few other tourists, warm locals. Beautiful nature is at your back, with a magnificent view of the mountains and the sea not far from the village. Well a little while driving to sniff some culture, but still just feasible Lucca, the hidden gem of Barga, Florence, Castel Nuevo ...

A beautiful house, situated in a mountain village. If you open the door you have a view on a mountain meadow, with a hundred meters walk along a small river in the forest. Because of its location in the mountains "at night was pleasantly cool, even if the day was warm. The kitchen is well equipped, everything we needed was there (really stove, freezer, refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware, cutlery, etc.) Cities as Pisa and Lucca were to reach by car, Pisa airport is about 5 minutes away. The owner was friendly and helpful. Only where appropriate to take into account is that you can not put (the car door unless your size fiat panda 1980 have), it is very narrow.

Very comfortable house with all amenities inc. (Off) washing machine. Minus point is perhaps that which can be damp in the house, but there's a device. The house is at the end of the village and that means you have complete privacy on the small terrace behind the house. The owner is a very nice man who speaks excellent english and french and in everything you advise if nodg. In the village is a fine house can restaurant.Vanuit with beautiful wandelen.Een must!
