The Villa Katharina dos with pool is a very nice, bright and modern apartment in the tower of Villa Catherine, with a separate entrance and a large terrace overlooking a small harbor and the Pyrenees in the background.
It is located in the tower, a living room with a German satellite TV, the other a fully equipped American kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, oven with Ceranfeldkochherd (NEW since 2015), coffee maker, dishwasher, u. Washing machine.
1 bedroom (double. Bed), 1 bathroom with shower, toilet and sink is present.
In the bedroom, over the bed, as well as in other windows Mokitonetze exist.
The living area is An extending sofa that a 3rd person a place to sleep
offers. Here is a mosquito net available.

The Villa Katharina dos m. Pool is in a very quiet residential area and is still central. In an opposite building is located in the same facility, the Villa Sol m. Pool.

Traumlage: Dream location
Well-equipped apartment with individual charm and beautiful views. Mr. Guth was always available. We had a car accident with a French vehicle and needed advice and a visit to a workshop, which Mr. Guth organized and accompanied for us, which we found very helpful. The complex is close to the center, yet very quiet, and free parking is not a problem at all. Our small dog loved playing in the nearby mouth of the Muga River in the evenings, where all dogs ran free. The river water is warm, shallow, and a dog paradise. There is also a nice walking path along there where dogs can run freely without bothering anyone. We didn't even visit the actual dog beach. The town's infrastructure is comparable to a small German town, everything is there, everything is close, and prices are quite okay. Empuriabrava offers a dream beach, gently sloping, sandy, and super clean. You can place yourself freely without having to rent sunbeds, although a windbreak is sometimes recommended due to the occasional gusty winds. Numerous excursion possibilities are available nearby as well as a wide range of offerings in the town itself. The owners live in the lower floor of the complex, but we didn't find this disturbing at all; on the contrary, we often joined them to watch football in the pool area. Since we prefer the sea, we only used the very well-maintained, lovingly landscaped swimming pool once. Despite fly screens and mosquito repellent, you need to keep the mosquitoes in check, as you are near the harbor. The bed is 140 cm wide and the mattress is quite thick and soft. Those who are a bit corpulent may have problems. Unfortunately, my sciatica promptly declared war on me, even though we are both rather slender. Despite all this, we liked it so much that we have made a note for 2019 and would love to come back.

Great autumn vacation
We would like to thank you very much for the great week. The landlord fulfilled every wish and always had an open ear for us. Great excursion tips, easily accessible shopping destinations. Even a German baker as a hidden gem. Upon arrival in Girona, we were even picked up at the airport. Breakfast in the morning on the balcony with a direct view of the canal - what more could one want.

Due to the appealing reviews, we were able to spend a 1-week holiday here, planned at short notice.
It did not promise too much. We found a beautiful, well-maintained complex here.
We were thrilled by the terrace attached to the apartment. Here, we could enjoy breakfast and the panorama in the morning sunshine. It was also nice not to be exposed to the sun all day. We found everything we needed and nothing was missing. The dog beach recommended by the landlord was great. Despite having a dog, we could relax. Although the landlord lives in the same complex, we had privacy. This also applied to the pool terrace, which was cleaned every day, and we found the water quality to be great. On the landlord's recommendation, he organized a sailing trip and a canal tour for us at extremely low prices. What should we say - We enjoyed it and found it great. Thank you very much!
My wife and I agreed that we haven't felt so rested in a long time, despite just a 1-week short vacation.
Conclusion: highly recommended. We will come back and are already looking forward to it.

Great price-performance ratio
It's been a long time since we've stayed in such a beautiful, centrally located vacation home. Upon arrival, we were able to check in immediately, even though we arrived in Empuriabrava 2 hours earlier than planned. Everything here was modern and well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and everything else one might need, although these things weren't so important to us as we treated ourselves to dining out every day during our 1-week vacation. The landlord also gave us great tips here. On this note, we would like to thank the landlord for his truly friendly and helpful demeanor.
We even managed to watch 2 games of "our team" on the pool terrace on a small projector screen, given that the World Cup was happening at the time.
For these pleasant and fun evenings, thank you once again, very, very, very much! We enjoyed it a lot.
The pool area was also very nice, always well-kept, and the water very clean.
We will remember the evening football sessions under the pool lights fondly. Candlelight, I still have to think about it today. Very nice!
Nothing was missing, we felt very comfortable. We enjoyed the sights recommended by the landlord, such as the nature reserve, Girona with its attractions, the Dali Museum in Figueras, and a hike to the coves.
We will come back and have already planned this for 2015. However, for 2 weeks, as 1 week was a bit too short.

A beautiful and, above all, very clean holiday home.
Very nicely and quietly located.
Especially the morning view from the terrace of the opposite harbor with its boats and the Pyrenees was unique.
The landlord was always very friendly and helpful with questions and wishes.
Everything is within walking distance. We only used our car twice in this vacation. This has never happened before.
The price-performance ratio is unbeatable!!! There was nothing missing.
The facility with the pool, which we almost had to ourselves, was very well maintained.
Highly recommended! We will come back.

Nice holiday with compromises
The property of Villa Katharina Sol or Dos is in a well-maintained condition.
The pool area is very beautiful, and the small TV corner is well done.
The Villa Katharina Dos we stayed in is ideal for 2 people - still okay for 3 people (sofa bed in the living room available).
For those used to wide beds at home, be prepared for closer proximity to your partner ;). It has its charm :).
The equipment in the apartment is absolutely sufficient. The view from the balcony overlooking the harbor and the Pyrenees is simply magnificent. Unfortunately, the entire balcony only has direct sunlight in the morning hours.
The helpful landlord lives under Villa Katharina Dos. With this, we come to the downsides in the evaluation: The Dos apartment is quite noisy (typical Spanish construction?), so the morning peace inevitably ended early, around 8 o'clock. Another disadvantage, which for us definitely carries more weight, is the following:
During our two weeks on site, there was not a day when the landlord was not in close proximity. Generally not a problem, but we as tenants did feel restricted. Very unfortunate, especially in the evening hours, as the pool area was frequently used by the landlord for TV nights, grill evenings, visits from friends, etc. . . Constructive criticism for landlords: less is more sometimes...

Vicinity of the holiday home: ein Auto wird im Grunde nicht gebraucht. Einkaufsmeile ist in 5 Minuten, der sehr schöne Sandstrand in ca 10 Fussminuten erreichbar.

Great vacation !!!!!!!!!!!
One of the most beautiful vacations we have ever had. Very nice landlords who were always there for us and gave great tips. A great accommodation with a romantic panorama. The whole town is highly recommended, 14 days of vacation are actually too short here, so we will go there again. Thank you to Marion and Joachim, see you soon, Barbara and Michael.

Couple Dream Vacation
We were in great hands with Mr. Guth. He provided the best tips for excursions and shopping, as well as the best restaurant recommendations :-) . You could come to him with any questions. The location and amenities of the apartment are optimal. You sleep in a quiet residential area right by the canal and are in the middle of the vibrant nightlife in just a few minutes - it's really top-notch.
