After the events of ice flow, winter storm, and flood in 2024, the beaver family that gave the place its name has changed its location. The new beaver dam is now located nearby.
The wilderness area begins at the cliff edge, which we consciously do not enclose with a fence. The steep slope must not be entered in order not to disturb the numerous wild animals. For the same reason, no dogs are allowed.
Respect for nature is reflected in the low-energy wooden construction and ecological insulation of the building.
The house is ideal for four adults who want to vacation together and value privacy. Each couple has the opportunity to retreat.
Welcome to the holiday home "Biberburg am Haff". Enter this extraordinary vacation home and let it affect you. Warm rays of sunshine flood through the south-facing glass front with floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing the comfortably furnished living room in bright light. In the spirit of builder Biber, the building is primarily made of wood.
Now take a look outside: You have a magnificent view framed by old trees over the Haff, which extends almost to the horizon. In the reed belt, the eponymous beaver lodge, many bird nests, and nurseries for wildlife are hidden. Here, you are truly in the middle of nature and perhaps even an osprey is circling overhead?
The holiday home is well equipped, tastefully furnished, and offers up to four guests a residence for an extraordinary vacation on the island of Usedom on 150 square meters of living space.
The large kitchen and dining area can be accessed from the living room and is oriented towards the southwest. It includes a dishwasher, induction cooktop, microwave, and fridge-freezer combination.
On the opposite side of the living room, you reach the first bedroom (double bed 1.80 x 2.00 m, height 56 cm) with an adjoining bathroom, which has a floor-level shower (1.20 x 1.20 m) and a wheelchair-accessible sink. The ground floor is deliberately built barrier-free and is therefore a suitable holiday home for wheelchair users. The second shower room with a walk-in shower (1.00 x 1.00 m), bathtub, and accessible sink is also located on the ground floor. The toilet height is 43 cm.
The entire vacation home is equipped with underfloor heating.
You can reach the upper floor via the beautiful wooden staircase. Here, another living room is available to you. The magnificent view of the lagoon through the floor-to-ceiling windows will enchant you every day. The second bedroom with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m) and a toilet is located on the upper floor.
All living and sleeping areas are equipped with satellite TV. The entire accommodation is naturally equipped with Wi-Fi (fiber optic 50 MBit/s). All windows are fitted with fly screens. The sleeping areas can be darkened.
The washing machine in the utility room is free to use.
In summer, seating and sun loungers on the approximately 50 m² south-facing terrace invite you to relax. An electric grill is available for enjoyable dining. Dreamlike sunsets are best enjoyed with a glass of wine right at the cliff edge. From the dining room, you enter the approximately 20 m² large west terrace. Thus, you can enjoy your time outdoors depending on the position of the sun. The 8,000 m² property, not fenced off towards the Haff, is largely left natural (no ornamental lawn area) and is frequently visited by wildlife and birds of all kinds. Here, what the soil yields is allowed to grow.
At the edge of the property towards the lagoon, there is a Finnish log house sauna with an electric stove, changing room, garden shower, and an equally impressive view of the lagoon available for you.
As a guest of the holiday home, you have access to a private bathing jetty, which can be used communally by only a few other holiday guests. Here, one can only hear the rustling of the waves and the reeds. You can reach the swimming jetty via the neighboring property.

Location and surroundings of object
The fine sandy beach of Usedom on the Baltic Sea can be accessed via the famous imperial resorts of Heringsdorf, Ahlbeck, and Bansin, which are about eight kilometers away and approximately a 15-minute drive. The lively beach promenade of Świnoujście in the neighboring country of Poland is also easily accessible by car or bicycle.
Within walking distance, there is a restaurant styled in aviation romance. You can quickly reach the Kamminker natural beach with a bathing spot on the Szczecin Lagoon (3 km away) by bicycle. Further idyllic natural beaches can be found in Prätenow and Stolpe, approximately 4-5 km away.
The nearby Heringsdorf Airport is a small airport on the island of Usedom. The airport is mainly used for private purposes and sightseeing flights, and during the season, it is served by three to four airlines with small passenger aircraft only on weekends. This is because the island of Usedom is especially a popular destination for tourists in the summer. The limited air traffic at Heringsdorf Airport does not lead to significant disturbances. The flight movements are not as frequent and loud as at larger airports. This helps to preserve the quiet atmosphere and charm of the island.

You can safely store your bicycles in the bicycle storage room with e-bike charging facility. A total of up to three cars can be parked on the property.
We provide you with bed linen and towels free of charge for your stay. Sauna packages (bathrobe and 2 sauna towels) can be provided on request (EUR 12.50 per person).
Arrival and departure are only possible on Saturdays (minimum stay always 7 nights).
A contact person on site is always available.
A deposit of EUR 250.00 is payable in cash on arrival, which will be refunded on the day of departure, provided the holiday home has been returned without damage.
The service charges for gas, water and electricity are calculated according to consumption. The meter readings are recorded on arrival and departure and billed after departure.
*** Further apartment buildings are being built on the surrounding neighbouring properties (construction starts 12/2021). Visual and acoustic disturbances are to be expected on weekdays between 06:30 and 20:00. The construction site discount has already been deducted from the rental price. Claims for reduction in relation to the construction site are thus settled. The front part of the bathing jetty is broken due to ice masses in the winter of 2022/2023. It is possible to enter the water next to the jetty with bathing shoes (as of 01/2023). ***
