The holiday flat
The former customs house is quietly situated just outside the main town of Barendorf, within walking distance (approx. 400 metres) of the sandy beach, which is free of visitor's tax. In the "Zollhaus" there are a total of 6 apartments, 2 per entrance.
Our sunny 3-room holiday flat (58 m²) on the upper floor for 4 persons (on the picture 1st entrance from the car park) consists of a living and dining area with a well-equipped kitchenette with dishwasher, cooker with ceramic hob and oven, microwave, crockery, cutlery, glasses etc.. The larger bedroom with 1 x double bed has a large wardrobe and also a small sitting area with table and 2 chairs. The smaller bedroom has 2 single beds and a slightly smaller wardrobe. The bright daylight bathroom has a bathtub with shower. The washing machine is also located here. There is also a rotary dryer and a drying rack. The loggia, with a marvellous view of the fields and forest, is equipped with a parasol, table and chairs and invites you to enjoy a sunny breakfast in the morning. The reserved car parking space is located at the house. If required, there is also a cellar storage room.

Location and surroundings of object
Describing Barendorf as a little paradise would not be an exaggeration. The "Klützer Winkel" is located between the Hanseatic cities of Wismar and Lübeck, as well as the state capital Schwerin. Barendorf lies right in the centre, but directly on the Baltic Sea. Gentle tourism is a way of life here. You won't find any holiday resorts or overcrowded beaches with access restrictions.
It is an ideal area for nature lovers. Fauna and flora have been positively influenced in their development by the former border area ("the green belt").
But there are also many other places of interest:
- The coastal landscape nature reserve between Priwall and Barendorf with Harkenbäkniederung
- The Baltic Sea Coastal Cycle Route can be easily travelled on both sides of the northern federal states. Part of the EuroVelo route EV10
- The Dassow Tiger Park
- Wismar Zoo
- Lütgenhof, Groß Schwansee and Bothmer castles
- Trip along the Wakenitz to Lübeck
- Sightseeing tours of Lübeck, Wismar and Schwerin
etc.
