Bavarian Forest holiday flat: two comfortable rooms, a kitchen with all the comforts you need for your time away.
The holiday flat was redesigned in 2020 and the bathroom was completely refurbished. It has everything you need for a beautiful, relaxing holiday in the Bavarian Forest.
Upscale furnishings in the holiday village of Hauzenberg:
There is a spacious pool in the house, which can be used all year round (with the exception of the annual maintenance work from around mid to late November). An outdoor pool is put into operation every year during the summer months. There is a sauna in the indoor pool area which can be used by 3 people (aged 12 and over) at the same time. Both pools and sauna are available at no extra charge and are located directly in the house (or at the house). Both pools and sauna are shared by the guests of the holiday village
The flat is accessible at ground level. The parking space is directly at the house.
A balcony with table and chairs is accessible from the living room. On the east/south side, it offers a wonderful view of the adjacent fields, Hauzenberg and the nearby Staffelberg. On clear days, the Alps can be glimpsed on the horizon.
In a spacious living-dining room (30 sqm) you will find, among other things, a dining table with 5 chairs, a 160x200 cm sofa bed and a 160x235 cm sofa bed. A large-screen TV has been fixed next to the living room cupboard. A DVD player, numerous DVDs, books and board games provide entertainment.

Location and surroundings of object
Our holiday flat is located in the Bavarian Forest, Passau Land in the immediate vicinity of the beautiful border triangle of Bavaria-Bohemia-Austria, in the climatic health resort of Hauzenberg, district of Raßreuth. The small holiday village Adalbert-Stifter with 12 typical Bavarian Forest houses is an ideal place for recreation, sports and leisure. You will find our holiday flat in Haus Freudensee, the house with the indoor swimming pool of the holiday village and right next to the outdoor pool with sun loungers and barbecue area (see also site plan). In the holiday village there is a small playground incl. sandpit, swings and a slide. At the entrance to the indoor pool is the table tennis. From the holiday village there are hundreds of kilometres of hiking trails and tours. You can reach the Freudensee natural swimming pool, which is especially popular in summer, on foot in about 15 minutes via a country lane. In Hauzenberg you will find the Kur- und Bürgerpark with lake stage and adventure playground but also some excursion destinations that are suitable for active sports enthusiasts but also for pensioners and small children.

Great days in Hauzenberg
We had 3 great days in the apartment Freudensee. The contact with the landlords was friendly and uncomplicated.
The apartment is equipped with everything you need. There was nothing missing in the kitchen either. The apartment was clean and cozy.
It was also great that the swimming pool is in the same building. From the house, it's less than a 10-minute walk to the lake, and you can also start other hikes directly on-site.
We will definitely come back.

Great holiday flat in the middle of the Bavarian Forest
We liked the flat very much. The hosts have good taste and attach great importance to lovely details that make life pleasant. The equipment is great: a kitchen with everything from a dishwasher to a microwave, a living room with a large TV, radio, CDs, books, etc., and a beautiful wooden balcony. Plenty of space for lounging (two large sofa beds) and a beautiful wooden balcony. There is a whole folder with suggestions for things to do in the area. The bedroom has great mattresses. The view from the windows goes far over a peaceful forest, village and meadow landscape. The best thing even in bad weather: the sauna and swimming pool directly below the flat. You can visit culture (granite museum etc.), but I would go there mainly for hiking or skiing (especially cross-country skiing). From Passau at the latest, you need a car to get there; but once you're there, it's really great to relax.
