Mathon Farmers' Museum. The first floor of the Walserstube inn displays the rural everyday life of the past. Here you will find a weaving chamber, work equipment, or typical bedrooms of a rural family from that time. The building is also used as an inn where you are welcome to stop by.
On the edge of the village and forest of Ischgl, the
Mathias Schmid Museum invites you. Schmid was a famous Paznaun artist who dedicated his work to the mountains and mountain farmers. In Ischgl, there is also the Mathias Schmid Art Trail. Over eleven kilometers, you will find information boards and impressions of his art and life.
Tyrolean Classics and Multiple Hauben
Typical for the region are the Tyrolean bacon dumplings, which are very popular with guests. Knödln, Nudln, Plenten (polenta), and Nockn are considered the four Tyrolean elements in cooking.
