The holiday home has a typical regional thatched roof with the traditional "horse heads" on the gable. On the south side there is a harmoniously curved bat dormer. The stylish shutters complete the exterior picture and create an optimal living climate at any time of the year on 92 Ground floor there is the living room with a wood-burning stove, TV and a stereo system with CD/cassette deck, a modern separate kitchen and a WC. Another room has an upstairs are two bedrooms for two persons each and a bathroom with shower and WC. For two more persons there is an extra bed possibility in the living room Ground floor is completely tiled and has underfloor heating. The upper floor has solid larch wood flooring, an individual fireplace grill, a terrace accessible from the living room and two parking spaces.

The holiday home is located approx. 180 m from the sandy beach on a large, lovingly landscaped garden plot. The fine sandy beach is bordered by a stretch of unspoilt beach, which invites you to romantic walks or long strolls with the dog. The district of Schwarzer Busch lies directly on the Baltic Sea with a beach promenade and several restaurants. The 37-square-kilometre island in the blue Baltic Sea at the gates of the Hanseatic city of Wismar has everything to offer, from nature to bathing paradise. Wide, fine-sand beaches with very good water quality, which is checked every 14 days, guarantee bathing fun for the whole family due to their shallow water depth in the shore area. The island is especially ideal for nature lovers. Extensive hikes or bicycle tours on well-signposted paths through small, dreamy fishing villages or along the wildly romantic steep coast offer relaxation and recreation in the healthy salty air, even in the early and late season. Not far from your holiday home is Kirchdorf, the centre of the island. The landmark visible from afar here is the Gothic bastion church from the 13th century, which rises above the tranquil harbour. Traditional wooden shipbuilding is still practised in the small shipyard and the lovingly furnished local history museum provides information about the island's history. The bird island of Langenwerder is a reserve for rare animal species and can be easily seen from the cliffs. For active holidays, there is a wide range of sporting activities such as horse riding, sailing, surfing, diving, golf or tennis.

Vacation magic on the Baltic Sea - our perfect vacation home
My wife and I love traveling, swimming in the sea, and exploring nature by bike. The beautiful days we spent at the Captain's House for the umpteenth time completely thrilled us once again. As a passionate photographer from Munich, who loves to play with light, colors, and perspectives, the holiday home with its maritime ambiance in close proximity to the wild romantic Baltic Sea beach was just the right location for us, and especially for me as a passionate photographer. It is always a joy for me to capture the special moments of our shared vacation against this backdrop.

Charming thatched house - absolutely recommended!
We felt completely comfortable in the Captains Hus and can highly recommend it.
The thatched holiday home is well equipped and lovingly furnished. We lacked for nothing!
Our son loved splashing in the Baltic Sea right after breakfast. The wide sandy beach is just a 5-minute walk right outside the door. Those who prefer to spend the day in the garden can relax on the terrace in the beautifully landscaped outdoor area. It was a relaxing time and boredom did not arise.
The island of Poel has a lot to offer in terms of scenery, and the nearby charming Hanseatic city of Wismar and the Baltic Sea spa Boltenhagen are recommended excursion destinations.
We will definitely come back!

Highly recommended
A very harmoniously and stylishly furnished house, very clean and everything available in terms of housekeeping. Nothing is missing. Mattresses very comfortable. Shower spacious. Even washing powder was available. Games for children, barbecue utensils and dishtabs. This is rare in a house near the beach (120 m to the water). We felt good all around and will gladly come again.
