The holiday home has a typical regional thatched roof with the traditional "horse heads" on the gable. On the south side there is a harmoniously curved bat dormer. The stylish shutters complete the exterior picture and create an optimal living climate at any time of the year on 92 Ground floor there is the living room with a wood-burning stove, TV and a stereo system with CD/cassette deck, a modern separate kitchen and a WC. Another room has an upstairs are two bedrooms for two persons each and a bathroom with shower and WC. For two more persons there is an extra bed possibility in the living room Ground floor is completely tiled and has underfloor heating. The upper floor has solid larch wood flooring, an individual fireplace grill, a terrace accessible from the living room and two parking spaces.

Location and surroundings of object
The holiday home is located approx. 180 m from the sandy beach on a large, lovingly landscaped garden plot. The fine sandy beach is bordered by a stretch of unspoilt beach, which invites you to romantic walks or long strolls with the dog. The district of Schwarzer Busch lies directly on the Baltic Sea with a beach promenade and several restaurants. The 37-square-kilometre island in the blue Baltic Sea at the gates of the Hanseatic city of Wismar has everything to offer, from nature to bathing paradise. Wide, fine-sand beaches with very good water quality, which is checked every 14 days, guarantee bathing fun for the whole family due to their shallow water depth in the shore area. The island is especially ideal for nature lovers. Extensive hikes or bicycle tours on well-signposted paths through small, dreamy fishing villages or along the wildly romantic steep coast offer relaxation and recreation in the healthy salty air, even in the early and late season. Not far from your holiday home is Kirchdorf, the centre of the island. The landmark visible from afar here is the Gothic bastion church from the 13th century, which rises above the tranquil harbour. Traditional wooden shipbuilding is still practised in the small shipyard and the lovingly furnished local history museum provides information about the island's history. The bird island of Langenwerder is a reserve for rare animal species and can be easily seen from the cliffs. For active holidays, there is a wide range of sporting activities such as horse riding, sailing, surfing, diving, golf or tennis.

We (mother and daughter plus our dogs) go on holiday every year. This time it was the turn of the island of Poel. We liked the house very much from the pictures. Unfortunately, it didn't quite meet our expectations on site.
The house is simple but well furnished. Unfortunately, it was not well cleaned (cobwebs, dirty windows, unclean fittings and door handles, etc). Furthermore, it seemed to us as if no guests had been in the house for a long time. The trolley was broken, the parasol could no longer be put up and the umbrella stand was no longer usable and was rather used as an ashtray, to name just 3 examples. The shower fitting was unfortunately also broken and the plumber could not repair it. During our holiday week, a few complaints in the house could be fixed by the house service. However, we received no understanding from either the landlord or the house service after all our complaints. We regretted this very much. We will not rent the house or any other houses of Poeler Gäste- und Ferienhaus-Service Heike Koth in the future.

Wir bedauern sehr, dass Sie sich in unserem Ferienhaus mit Reetdach in unmittelbarer Strandnähe auf der wunderschönen Ostseeinsel Poel nicht wohlgefühlt haben.
Da das Haus, entgegen der von Ihnen geäußerten Vermutung, nahezu durchgehend in der Vermietung ist, kommt es immer wieder vor, dass Ausstattungsgegenstände Schaden nehmen. Hier freuen wir uns jederzeit über entsprechende Hinweise unserer Gäste, damit unsere Agentur sofort reagieren kann, um unsere Gäste zufriedenzustellen.
Gerne möchte ich auf die von Ihnen angeführten Mängel im Einzelnen eingehen:
Unsere Agentur hat Ihnen sofort angeboten, einen Ersatz-Bollerwagen zur Verfügung zu stellen bzw. den betreffenden Reifen aufzupumpen. Das lehnten Sie ab mit der Begründung, dass Sie und Ihre Mutter diesen ja gar nicht benötigten.
Im Hause befand während Ihres gesamten Aufenthaltes ein funktionsfähiger Sonnenschirm, den Sie gerne hätten benutzen können. Leider hatten Vormieter im Rohr des Schirmständers einige Zigarettenkippen entsorgt. Dieses ist der Agentur nicht aufgefallen. Bei entsprechend rechtzeitiger Benachrichtigung unserer Agentur wären die Zigarettenkippen sofort entsorgt worden.
Die Dusche im Bad war jederzeit funktionsfähig. Die Halterung der Handbrause in der Dusche ließ sich leider nicht kurzfristig reparieren. Hier wurde von uns eine komplett neue Duscharmatur in Auftrag gegeben und innerhalb kürzester Zeit beschafft und installiert.
Unsere Agentur stand mit Ihnen während Ihres Aufenthaltes täglich in Verbindung. Wir setzten alles daran, dass unsere Gäste das liebevoll eingerichtete Reetdachhaus unbeschwert genießen können.
In Hinblick auf die vielen Gäste, die sich bei uns immer wieder in unserem schönen Ferienhaus wohlfühlen und das maritime Ambiente unterm Reetdach sowie die eindrucksvollen Naturerlebnisse der Insel genießen können, bedauern wir nochmals, dass wir Ihre Befindlichkeiten nicht in einem kooperativen Dialog zu Ihrer Zufriedenheit klären konnten.

Service of the Koth Agency
Nice house, close to the beach, very well-maintained surroundings. Unfortunately, the service provided by the Koth family left much to be desired. Unfriendly and grumpy reception. We arrived slightly early and just wanted to inquire over the phone if we could pick up the key 60 minutes earlier. No response, despite leaving a voicemail message. No instructions on how to use the technical equipment in the house. Several light bulbs were out. A broken shower head. Voicemail left on the Koth family's answering machine. No reaction.
This elevated price category is not justified.
We delivered the key to the desired location on time. We heard one sentence: "Did you empty the dishwasher?" Yes, we did, and we also stripped the beds and disposed of the trash. By the way, there was no possibility for waste separation. We go on vacation several times a year and are used to having a short friendly conversation. Here we were treated like stupid tourists who are only good for earning money. We are also working professionals and would never behave so ignorantly and disrespectfully.

Wir haben Kontakt mit unserer Agentur aufgenommen, mit der wir seit über 15 Jahren zusammen arbeiten und sehr zufrieden waren bzw. sind, und Ihre Bewertung weitergereicht mit der Bitte um Erklärung der angesprochenen Sachverhalte. Frau K. gab an, im Herbst durch coronabedingten Mehraufwand in der Kommunikation mit den Gästen sowie einer zeitintensiven Saison und einen privaten Trauerfall an die Grenze ihrer Leistungsfähigkeit gekommen zu sein und bedauert den schlechten Service.

Highly recommended
A very harmoniously and stylishly furnished house, very clean and everything available in terms of housekeeping. Nothing is missing. Mattresses very comfortable. Shower spacious. Even washing powder was available. Games for children, barbecue utensils and dishtabs. This is rare in a house near the beach (120 m to the water). We felt good all around and will gladly come again.
