Wonderful vacation apartment in the middle of Sankt Andreasberg

The apartment is stylishly furnished with great attention to detail. There is a beautiful partially covered terrace that, like the apartment itself, is not overlooked. The bathroom is very small but modern and equipped with high-quality fixtures. The entire apartment is very clean. The landlords are incredibly helpful and respond very quickly to inquiries. We enjoyed the long weekend in this very charming apartment.

A beautiful, tastefully furnished apartment with attention to detail. The kitchen and bathrooms go far beyond the usual vacation rental standard and leave nothing to be desired. Everything is there, and you don't have to worry about anything. The dreamy sunsets can be particularly enjoyed here. Perfect for a few relaxing days.

A really great customer service Wishes are implemented immediately afterwards (only by email) Parking options perfect (very well described) For loading and unloading, there is a short parking option in the lower area of the building complex, so you can comfortably and not laboriously get your luggage into the house. Great location and surroundings of the houses (dogs are really warmly welcomed)

Which sights are there in Sankt Andreasberg?

Attractions around St. Andreasberg and Braunlage

In the Upper Harz, silver minerals were mined for a long time. Technically and historically interesting is the Samson Mine, a historic mine in St. Andreasberg. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Adults pay €8 for a 30- to 60-minute tour, while children pay €4. (As of November 2023) In the museum next to the show mine, you can view various exhibits related to mining and the St. Andreasberg narrow-gauge railway. In the same building, there is also the Harz Roller Canary Museum. These locally bred and particularly melodious singing birds were an important additional source of income for the miners in the 19th century. The observatory has only been around since 2014. It offers ideal viewing conditions in the highest mountain town of the Upper Harz.

What do you need to experience in Sankt Andreasberg?

Highlights for Your Time in St. Andreasberg

For sports enthusiasts, the MSB-X-Trail in St. Andreasberg is a real highlight. This sports park offers a mountain bike downhill course with six tracks that cater to different skill levels. Beginners can try out easy single trails and freeride tracks. The technically interesting North Shore courses and challenging downhill sections will demand a lot from experienced riders and professionals. For your vacation in an affordable apartment in St. Andreasberg, be sure to plan a visit to the natural monuments. In the mountain town in the national park, you can find, for example, the imposing granite blocks Dreibodesteine, an ancient group of chestnut trees at the marketplace, and further into the forest, the Glückaufklippe. The Harz National Park is a forested nature reserve. Theme trails like the Bark Beetle Trail and the Dandelion Explorer Trail invite you to hike through the beech and spruce forests. Take a trip to the neighboring Braunlage to visit the Great Wurmberg Cliff. The spa park of Braunlage is one of the largest of its kind in the region. Here, you can take extended walks and use the spa facilities like the water treading pool and the spa visitor center. In the Teaching Mine Grube Roter Bär with the Wennsglückt Mine, you can explore underground how miners used to work. This serves not only as a teaching mine but also as a home for bats. Between April and October, you can participate in a guided tour here on Saturdays at 2 PM. (As of November 2023)

Start from your private apartment in St. Andreasberg for a trip to Altenau to visit Germany's largest herb park. This costs €24 per person, children pay €18. (As of November 2023) Also, take a relaxing hike on the Sonnenberg or on the Oderteich Circular Trail. Art and Culture in the Upper Harz

St. Andreasberg and its surroundings offer many cultural facilities and art. Particularly, wind and folk music are cultivated and kept alive in numerous associations. Thus, you can regularly experience the performances of the mountain musicians and singing communities. Rock music is also played and presented on occasions such as Walpurgis Night or summer festivals. The Walpurgis Night tradition has been around for years. It takes place on the Brocken. In almost all Harz locations, residents and guests celebrate and dance at a lavish festival. In St. Andreasberg, the tradition of the Finch Maneuver, recognized as Intangible World Cultural Heritage since 2014, is maintained.
