Vacation rental directly by the lake with restrictions

We were very warmly welcomed by the owner upon our arrival and received a bottle of sparkling wine as a greeting. He showed us around and pointed everything out. The parking lot is unusual and very tight, but you are glad to have one given the parking situation by the lake. There is also a cellar where rental bikes are stored and where you can deposit your own bikes, SUPs, etc. The apartment is quite coolly furnished and has thin walls. The sofa is not exactly comfortable for the evening and the plastic chairs in the kitchen are not really great either. On the balcony, there are 2 chairs and 1 table. We were in apartment 1 and had a lake view. What was somewhat bothersome was the not-so-nice awning from the pizzeria under the balcony. One should also know that you can hear what is being cooked downstairs, respectively. eaten;)
The dishes and cutlery are a bit mismatched and don't really go together, and there might be a lack of champagne glasses + regular knives, just a small tip.
The bed is comfortable and we could sleep well. Unfortunately, the bedroom faced the main street and we couldn't open the window because of the noise. You can high-five the bus driver, the street is that close.
What bothered us, however, was the cold in the apartment. We were there at the beginning of October and it gets a bit cooler then. Unfortunately, the heating had not been turned on yet, and we had to make do with blankets. Our neighbors also noted that it was really cold in the apartment. We were there with a somewhat larger dog, and one should know that there is not much green space by the water, but rather all asphalt, or rather the gravel beach. Caution is also advised when you go out of the house and open the door, as you stand directly on the narrow sidewalk. It is not child-friendly and one must be careful, as cars race there and do not even take care at the crosswalk.
Conclusion: Apartment OK, but we will not go to Lake Garda with a dog again.

Great holiday apartment, would love to come back!

Despite hours of delay, we were received very kindly at the agreed parking lot. Communication via WhatsApp worked great. The holiday apartment cannot be reached independently by car. However, we had a parking space directly by the lake (free with a parking permit) and a garage 5 minutes above the apartment. The landlord helped us with our luggage in his car. The holiday apartment itself is very large and clean and has two floors. The 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were optimal for us, as we traveled as a family with adult daughters and a friend. The kitchen had everything we needed. The living-dining room offered enough space for eating and spending time together. The internet worked great and there was German television. From here, there was also a great view of the lake. All windows have fly screens and shutters. The place itself is small and nice and away from the tourist crowds. There are several good pizzerias, a bar, and an ice cream parlor. A mini-supermarket for rolls and the essentials is also within walking distance. The lakeshore can be reached in a few minutes on foot. Here you can sit nicely and swim. Water shoes are highly recommended. After 3 km by car or on foot, you are in Malcesine. Here you can find supermarkets, shopping options, and tourist offers. The cable car to Monte Baldo also starts here. The location of the holiday apartment offers many opportunities to explore Lake Garda. Our dog was also warmly welcomed. However, for walks, one has to walk to the lake, as there is no lawn by the house. Conclusion: It was two great weeks that unfortunately went by far too quickly. If we come back to Lake Garda, we would love to stay here again. Thank you very much for the lovely time!

Beautiful place

We were at Lake Garda for the second time with our Dogo Argentino lady Mia. The holiday home is beautifully located. Nothing is missing. For space reasons, some kitchen appliances are not ideally placed, but that didn't bother us. We were received very warmly. Marco's dad provided us with salad, herbs, and lemons. Absolutely charming :-) The eight turtles living on the property were absolutely calming. We are happy to come back :-)
Maybe Marco's dad has a wish for what we should bring him from Germany next time ;-)
