A weekend trip with friends. Two living rooms offered plenty of space for togetherness. The large dining table was ideal for our group dinners, and the view from the master bedroom to the terrace made conversations late into the evening extra cozy.

Can Tomeu - Villa With Private Pool In Inca

Inca

I would definitely choose this place again. We loved spending evenings grilling on the spacious porch with family. The kitchen was well-equipped for us to prepare meals together. It comfortably housed four of us in the air-conditioned bedrooms. A quick trip to local attractions made things very easy.

What do you need to experience in Inca?

The shopping paradise in the northwest of Mallorca

Inca is located in the middle of Mallorca and is the third largest city in Mallorca. If you like shopping during your holiday, you should definitely take a stroll through the old town. In addition to many small shops, there are also outlet stores and factory sales in Inca, selling their leather products. The well-known shoe brands Camper and Farrutx also have an outlet store in the city. Every Thursday morning, a weekly market takes place in the old town, extending over many streets. Culture-loving guests should visit the church of Santa María la Major from their holiday apartment. This is designed in the baroque style and built from Mallorcan sandstone. Other interesting sights include the Dominican monastery Convent de Sant Domingo, the wax museum Museo de Sera, and the church of Sant Francesc. The picturesque village of Alaro is located 13 kilometers from Inca, from which you can reach the famous fortress Castell d'Alaró. On a clear day, you have a view over the entire island from the fortress. Culture lovers should also visit the Lluc Monastery. Simply rent a holiday accommodation, a house, one of the fincas or villas with a pool and enjoy a personal holiday full of experiences and excursions.

What can you experience in Inca with children?

A wide range of leisure activities for the whole family

Inca is also known as the heart of Mallorca. Due to its central location, a holiday accommodation or a holiday home, one of the fincas or a holiday apartment from a private owner is very suitable for excursions to different parts of the island. From the middle of Mallorca, you are in a short time in the Balearic capital Palma or in the municipalities of Manacor and Soller. A popular leisure activity with the whole family is a train ride on the "Red Lightning." You have a breathtaking view from the "Cap de Formentor," which is located at a height of 384 meters. In addition to the unique view of the Mediterranean Sea and the neighboring island of Menorca, you can also enjoy the impressive cliffs. A private holiday home is also very suitable for a beach holiday in the middle of Mallorca. Although the city is not by the sea, the beautiful beaches of Alcudia, Pollenca, or Can Picafort can be reached by car in a short time. Explore surrounding places on Mallorca or hike the many hiking trails along one of the most beautiful regions in Spain. Also, take a trip to Alcúdia.

Where can I eat out in Inca?

Discover Mallorcan specialties

A delicious, typical Mallorcan specialty is Pa amb Oli. Bread is drizzled with olive oil and topped with garlic, tomatoes, and cheese or ham, depending on your taste. The delicious bread is enjoyed by Mallorcans all year round. Also typical of the island is the hearty spread sausage Sobrassada, made from raw minced pork, paprika powder, and salt. Slightly unusual, but still very tasty, is the fig bread Pa de Figa. The base is ground anise, which is kneaded with a shot of anise liqueur and dried figs and then dried in the sun. The filled pastry pockets called Empanadas are a typical, delicious snack for in between. They are filled with a sweet or savory filling and then baked crispy in the oven. Stews and soups have played an important role on the Balearic Islands for centuries. The menus of the restaurants include specialties such as the stew Caldereta and fish soup Sopa de pescado. Mainly lamb and pork are used for meat dishes. After a successful meal, stroll through the idyllic streets of the old town or past luxurious villas and enjoy the atmosphere of the beautiful places in Mallorca.

How do I come to Inca?

From the coast to the inland

Inca is the third largest city in Mallorca and is located at the foothills of the Sierra de Tramuntana, about 40 km from the island capital Palma. The city has always been the center for regional shoe and leather craftsmanship. Internationally renowned shoe brand manufacturers and various leather factories are based here. The secret capital of Mallorca is especially known as a paradise for leather goods. You can reach your holiday apartment or house from a private owner by car via the Autopista MA-13. However, the center of Inca is car-free, so you have to park your vehicle outside the city gates. Alternatively, you can reach your accommodation from a private owner by train. Inca has had a train station since 1875 and is one of the most important centers for freight and passenger traffic. From here, a train runs to Palma every three hours. Book an accommodation or a holiday home, a finca, or an apartment with a pool and enjoy a relaxing holiday full of excursions and unforgettable experiences.
