Perfect holiday home.

We arrived by car and could park right next to the front door! Ideal, especially if you also brought bicycles. As soon as you enter, the feeling of welcome hits you. A large living room, 2 spacious bedrooms each with their own bathroom was more than we wished for. The kitchen is equipped with all possible appliances. The house has a downstairs and a separate upstairs that is also rented out separately. We sat on the ground floor with a large garden and plenty of shaded areas. Only that is not applicable at this time of year. The sun is still very pleasant then. The garden is directly accessible from the parking lot, which is also convenient for putting away the bicycles. The house is on a quiet through street where only local residents are present. Furthermore, this location is very easy to reach from the N340. Which is convenient for doing groceries quickly. There are several large supermarkets in the immediate area. There is even a shopping center along the N340 (what they call a Mall in the USA) with various shops. It even has a McDonald's and KFC, but also a real local restaurant where you can get a full Menu del Dia for €13.50. A recommendation if you want to experience the local atmosphere. But Lidl can also be found near Vinaros along the N340. We enjoyed the house and of course the WiFi was a nice addition to stay in touch with the rest of the world. This location is a great base for making trips by car, but also by bike, to explore this part of Spain. We thank Barbara and Antonio for their good care and are considering booking again in the future.

The house is located in a very beautiful setting, is extremely practical and cozy furnished, and offers everything you need. I was there with my 4-year-old daughter and find it perfect for families, as long as you have a car. It was a dream vacation and everything was perfect.

Thank you for a nice accommodation.

Being able to walk just a few steps to the sea, enjoying the sun sheltered from the wind on the terrace... we had a great place to experience our New Year.
The accommodation is somewhat secluded, and at the same time, beautiful little excursion spots are easy to reach from here.
The floor of the accommodation was very cold, making the rooms initially chilly as well. It must be wonderful in the summer; for us, it was a bit of an adjustment in winter. Outside the sun and inside so cool. But the heating options are simple and reasonably priced. So that was fine for us as well. - So: In any case, pack warm slippers :-)
The contact with the landlords was extremely friendly, helpful, reliable, and caring.

Along this street, you will come directly to the Castle of Papa Luna, which was built in the 15th century on the ruins of an Arab facility. It was later converted into a papal residence. The imposing castle sits on a large hill and is surrounded by water. A spit connects it to the mainland. The antipope Benedict XII lived here until his death. The sunsets here are particularly beautiful, bathing the sky in fascinating colors. Another attraction in Benicarlo is the Placa Constitucio, the central square of the town, which comes to life in the evening hours. In addition to numerous cultural events, the old town of Benicarlo impresses with its magnificent buildings such as the House of the Baroness, the town's landmark. Here you will find old paintings, sculptures, and ceramics from the Renaissance. Next door is the 18th-century Church of Sant Bartomeu with its 40-meter-high bell tower. Inside, you can admire a 1.5-meter-high gilded monstrance that is more than half a millennium old. The parish museum houses a variety of interesting Gothic artworks. On May 9th, many believers make a pilgrimage to the nearby hilltop Sanctuary of Sant Gregori. Typical for the region are the spring festivals called Fallas, which take place in various towns in March. The Tomatina, which takes place on the last Wednesday of August in Bunol, is world-famous. More than 40,000 people engage in a battle with overripe tomatoes.
