The Holiday flat

Former orange finca, which was rebuilt in 2005 and completely modernized. The house is technically and optically, in a very good condition.

Located on the outskirts of the city, the finca grounds offer the tranquility of the countryside, as well as the amenities of the town, which can be reached comfortably and safely, even on foot or by bike, in a few minutes.

The entrance closes an iron sliding gate, followed by a large parking lot / turning area in front of the house, where there is also a brick carport for 2 vehicles. The entrance is lined with tall palms and groves of trees, the forecourt is lightened by shrubs and orange trees, olives, hibiscus and various fruit trees.
The house has 2 separate entrances.

The lower apartment / apartment, is decorated in typical Mediterranean style and offers the comforts of Spanish architecture. The kitchen is basically modernized and the master bath in superior furnishing and size, with corner bathtub and a brick shower area. The kitchen is connected to the living room, as well as a separate guest bathroom with shower. A passageway between the kitchen and living room opens into the sports room, through which you can also reach the spacious outdoor terrace. To the lower apartment belongs a patio with marble corks and a small fish basin of sea food.

The house is adjoined by a large garden with a lawn, which leads to the garden. Here you will find local herbs, plants, flowers, aloe vera and a small wine variety, which makes for excellent home wine. Behind it are the seven horse boxes with outlet (not used anymore). Past the boxes, you get into the original finca area of ​​the property. There is also a 100 square meter energy saving house with large terrace, garden house and carport. This house is at the moment. In long-term rental. This house is completely fenced and therefore allows the controlled keeping of animals. It is modernly furnished and has its own TV-telephone and internet connection. To the house belongs a small, separate utility garden, which is also, because completely fenced, also suitable for animal husbandry.


Behind this guest house, separated by an iron gate, is the old orange plantation. This has not been farmed for 10 years, and there has been a magnificent retreat for fauna and flora, crowned by the former excavation for a natural pond (2 completed and a large pond under construction). This natural area is bordered by a path that reaches to the end of the property and passes there into an olive grove.

At the end of the property is also a farm path, which leads directly to the beach.

my name is Astrid Lehnen, married to Guenter J. Lehnen. We live in Bad Aachen and spend several months a year in Spain, in our home in Benicarlo. There, on the ground floor of the chalet, the spacious apartment with terrace and patio. We no longer manage the former orange plantation. I cultivate the flowers and vegetable garden, my husband devoted instead to viticulture and the production of wine and fine spirits, home-grown. I manage our house, the estate, a wooden house and the apartment. My husband is a writer and writes about wine / viticulture and technical things. Schöner Urlaub bei netten Gastgebern

Wir waren mit unserem Sohn zu einer fantastischen Zeit dort. Wir hatten jeden Tag traumhaftes Wetter, genauso, wie man sich das im Sommerurlaub eben wünschte. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und der Pool ist echt ein Traum. Die Lage des Ferienhauses ist hervorragend, ruhig, aber unglaublich zentral. In wenigen Minuten erreicht man Benicarlo, auch Vinaros und Peniscola sind problemlos in 10 min. mit dem Auto erreichbar. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön. Wunderbare Strände, die selbst zur Hochsaison nicht überfüllt sind, Essen und Getränke zum kleinen Preis. Hauptsächlich waren spanische Touristen zu unserer Urlaubszeit in der Umgebung anwesend, was uns sehr zusagte. Wir würden dieses Ferienhaus gerne wieder besuchen, insbesondere weil die Gastgeber sehr nett sind und keine Wünsche offen ließen. Liebe Astrid, lieber Günther, vielen Dank für den tollen Urlaub!

Super Urlaub

Wir waren im August 2018 im Ferienhaus und bereisen seit fast zwei Jahrzenten die spanische Ostküste. Ein gepflegtes, großzügiges Holzhaus mit gutem Standart. Im Garten der neue Pool, den man jederzeit nutzen kann. Sehr gepflegtes Anwesen. Aber das Beste ist die Freundlichkeit und Hilfbereitschaft der Vermieter. Sie erfüllen einem "jeden" Wunsch und ohne den nicht unerheblichen Zeitaufwand den Günter hatte, hätte ich wahrscheinlich immer noch keinen neuen Reifen für den Geplatzen am Hänger. Trotz aller Hilfsbereitschaft und guten Tipps wird die Privatsphäre aber absolut gewahrt. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl und aufgenommen gefühlt. Ein Top Urlaub bei Top Vermietern mit einem Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Sylvester im Ferienhaus

Wie haben den Jahreswechsel hier verbracht und ich kann nur sagen, es war toll, obwohl Dezember/Januar nicht die gewöhnliche Reisezeit für Spanien ist.
Trotzdem war das Wetter gut, so dass wir uns viel draußen aufhalten und sogar sonnenbaden konnten. Zu Silvester haben wir mit Freunden gefeiert, da hat es an nichts gefehlt. Sogar den Außengrill konnten wir benutzen. Innen brannte der Holzofen und das ganze Haus war gemütlich und schön warm. Das nächste Mal werden wir im Sommer wiederkommen, damit wir den Pool nutzen können. Darauf freuen wir uns schon sehr.

Sehr enttäuschend...

Wir hatten 12 Tage gebucht, leider waren nach 3 Tagen schwere Regenfälle/Unwetter angesagt und uns war es etwas unbehaglich dort zu bleiben und wir sind nach Valencia “geflüchtet”
Das Vermieterpaar ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, hat uns vor dem Unwetter gewarnt und Kerzen vorbei gebracht.
Da wir Beide aber in den weichen Betten nicht schlafen konnte, uns sind Nachts beim Umdrehen die Latten des Rostes rausge”knallt” (ich wiege 65kg), nach 2 Tagen haben wir uns sogar ein Luftbett gekauft - wollte ich nach dem Unwetter nicht wieder zurück in die Unterkunft und wir sind dann nach 7 Tagen abgereist. Ein bisschen hatte ich ja auf Kulanz gehofft bezüglich unsere verfrühten Abreise, da wir auch für die Hunde pro Tag bezahlt hatten, aber ich kann die Vermieter auch verstehen
Negativ ist uns die Sauberkeit aufgefallen, Haare in der Dusche, Geschirr nicht richtig gespült, es war alles etwas ungepflegt
Es stand eine verrostete Gartenliege auf der Terrasse
Im Haus gibt es 3 Schlafzimmer, eins mit Stockbetten, 1 mit 2 Einzelbetten und 1 großes Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett
Leider blitzte die halbe Nacht irgendeine Lampe von weiter weg, Vorhänge zum Zuziehen gab es leider nicht.
Entfernung zum Strand sind mind 2,5km, nicht wie es hier beschrieben wird
Fazit: sehr nette Vermieter, sehr hundefreundlich da komplett eingezäunt, sehr gepflegter und schöner Garten mit Pool, den man mitbenutzen darf

Unsere Urlaubserwartungen sind in jeder Hinsicht voll erfüllt worden. Die Wohnung ist perfekt zum Relaxen toller Freisitz von Blicken geschützt. Toller Pool. Die Gastgeber sind die nettesten die wir je hatten, immer bemüht alle unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Soviel Herzenswärme erlebt man ganz selten. Danke für die schönste Geburtstagsfeier die ich je hatte.
