Perfect autumn holiday

We spent 1 week in Haus Thor... it was super nice and we could hike in sunny weather as well as enjoy the sauna and cosy cottage when it was cloudy and rainy. The house is very cosy and perfectly furnished. It was even a little pre-heated when we arrived. The house's own hiking guide is highly recommended and the two house tours "Naturstig 1+2" as well as to "Nybodarna" si d super prepared
All in all a dream holiday - just a bit short... next time stay longer.

Cosy, well-equipped holiday home on the lake

Haus Lappland is by far the cosiest and best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in - here you don't have to wonder " if " something is available, but at most " where " and you feel relaxed all round!
It is very quiet at night and during the day, ideal for relaxing, and for entertainment there is flat-screen TV with numerous German channels - just like at home - and free Wi-Fi.
The very clean house is located in the village of Abborrträsk on a romantic lake with often breathtaking sunrises, a small village shop with all the necessities for daily life and a small petrol station can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. The small town of Arvidsjaur is only 18 km away and offers larger shops, a cash dispenser, petrol stations, an interesting museum of local history and an old Sami church town with many wooden huts.
For sightseeing in Lapland with its sparse population, you have to travel further than in Germany. Jokkmokk on the Arctic Circle with its great Attje Museum (Sami culture and much more) is about 150 km away, and Arjeplok in the Fjell with its beautiful silver museum is just over 100 km away (one way each way). Scandinavia's longest and largest rapids, Storforsen, are an absolute highlight about 120 km away.
We visited Abborrträsk in autumn with its bright yellow, red and green colours in nature, but we were also recommended the winter with its numerous activities.
Bill, the friendly " housekeeper " who visited us on the arrival evening and before departure, told us about the brown bears and the numerous capercaillie and black grouse and also about the one or other moose we shot.
We saw reindeer frequently in small herds, the rutting season began and made the animals restless, so that they were often to be found in the middle of the roads.
Dear Mrs Mathes, dear Mr Hohle, we will definitely be back, thank you very much for everything!

Very well equipped and maintained holiday home in a quiet forest location without direct neighbours. Well-equipped kitchen with everything you need, including sharp knives. Even an egg picker is there. Good beds. The house is a suitable starting point for hikes in the Kroppefjäll, Kynnefjäll, Tresticklan and Yttre Bodane nature reserves, which can all be reached within 1 hour by car. Washing machine and dishwasher in the outbuilding, mobile table tennis table in the garage. Very nice landlords (German emigrants). Well behaved dogs allowed.
