Situated in the Eifel, between Trier and Koblenz, the Eifeler Finnhaus awaits you with cosy furnishings as a holiday resort of peace and relaxation in the healthy air of the Eifel. For 4 persons, plus one sleeping possibility on a comfortable, cosy sofa bed.
Admittedly: The beautiful wooden house in the holiday park near the Eifel village of Dockweiler, very close to Daun, is definitely not a run-of-the-mill house. Somehow it has a bit of a witch's cottage about it - in a positive sense, of course!
It is quaint and cosy, surrounded by meadows and forests, in the midst of beautiful Eifel nature. Thanks to its characteristic natural building material, wood, it blends wonderfully into the Eifel landscape
A place of relaxation for stressed souls and all those who simply want to switch off from everyday life
Three corners, three rooms! Three rooms on two floors offer you the opportunity to relax.
The living area on the ground floor is very open and spacious. Enjoy the great view of nature from here. Adjacent to the living room you will find an open, fully equipped modern fitted kitchen with oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer combination for cooking and sizzling together. On the terrace in front of the living room, with a great view, you can sit dry and comfortable even during a warm summer rain.
Our roof-only house is also called a Finn cottage, as this unusual form of construction first emerged in Scandinavian countries and later spilled over into Central Europe.
A daylight bathroom with convenient shower access completes this living level, which also conjures up an extraordinary atmosphere with its unusual form
Holidaying here without having to sacrifice space and room is cosy and quaint.

There are two bedrooms in the upper part of the house. One double bedroom with two beds open at the foot end (100 x 200) with adjustable slatted frames, as well as a second bedroom with two beds each (90 x190).
A very comfortable sofa bed with a high-quality, comfortable mattress and slatted frame offers another two people a very cosy sleeping option in the living area, so that even a larger family or friends can enjoy a relaxing holiday.
An easy-to-operate pellet stove provides a cosy atmosphere in the cold season. (Pellets incl.)
From the terrace you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Eifel landscape. With cosy seating, it not only lets you enjoy the afternoon coffee round, but also a relaxing, evening end to a beautiful holiday day!

Summer swimming and leisure activities are available at the Gemündener Maar or the Schalkenmehrener Maar
Swimming in a crater lake with drinking water quality and varying water temperatures is certainly an unforgettable swimming experience.
The Maare-Mosel cycle path runs along the former railway line near Daun, over a high viaduct (30 m), to Bernkastel on the Moselle. From there, a shuttle bus takes you back. In the summer season, registration is required at the tourist office in Daun or via the internet!

Dockweiler lies in the heart of the Volcanic Eifel at an altitude of approx. 500 - 560 m above sea level, on the watershed between the Ahr and Moselle rivers in northern Rhineland-Palatinate, in the district of Vulkaneifel between Daun and Gerolstein. The village was built on a lava flow that extends from the 700 m high Ernstberg (ski area) over the 637 m high Eselsberg to before the neighbouring village of Dreis.

Calmness and coziness
A fine and very clean holiday home. The house is equipped with everything necessary. The terrace with a view is very nicely designed and also has covered seating, so you can sit on the terrace even in the rain. There are some beautiful hiking trails directly around the house. Wonderful timeout between the years
Despite a lot of rain and wind, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. With the stove and all the available comfort, the lovingly designed interior, and the friendly reception, there were absolutely no wishes left unfulfilled. First visit makes you want more!!!

Beautiful, perfectly located and equipped holiday home
Last week, the three of us were in a holiday home in Dockweiler. The equipment is amazing, nothing is missing! Everything is almost new and of great quality. Very cozy beds with comfortable mattresses. The small garden makes the heart beat faster and the village is also great for short walks along the forest edge or shopping at the organic bakery up the street. We will definitely come back! Very lovingly furnished and very well-equipped small holiday home. Despite corona conditions, an incredibly nice reception by the landlady. The perfectly equipped holiday home is quietly located with a beautiful view of Dockweiler. You can enjoy the garden on the porch or on the lawn on the garden furniture. Perhaps barbecue in the evening with the charcoal grill. For colder days, there is a comfortable pellet stove in the living room of the Finnish house. Dear Mrs. Philipp,
Thank you very much for the warm welcome and the attentiveness at the house, which is unfortunately rare to find these days. We immediately felt very comfortable. Unfortunately, the weather did not allow us to use the provided loungers, tables, and chairs outside. Fortunately, there is the covered terrace, especially important and useful for smokers. We lacked nothing in the house, the fireplace radiates a cozy warmth and atmosphere that makes staying in the house very pleasant in bad weather. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, so work could be done quickly. Completely satisfied, we can only recommend.

We felt very comfortable in this cozy house. Everything you need is available and in top condition! The pellet stove gives the whole place a special coziness. We will definitely come back!

Relaxing days in the Eifel
Dear family Philipp,
we would like to thank you very much for this enchanting "feel-good oasis".
Nothing was missing and we had many sunny October days during the 14 days,
so we were able to fire up the barbecue.
Everything also worked very well with the oven.
Flocke, our dog, also felt very comfortable here.

Simply beautiful
We went to the Finnhaus in the Eifel for a few days to relax and I can only say, anytime again! The landlords are very nice, the house very clean and lovingly furnished with everything you need. And the peace and quiet in the garden is priceless.....
We will be back when we get the chance :)

Simply the best❗️
We rented this accommodation for a short 3-day getaway, and I have to say it was just great. It is super furnished and lacks nothing. It is super clean and equipped with everything you need. Thanks to the beautiful fireplace with a fire, we spent cozy evenings there.

perfect holiday home
The perfectly furnished holiday home in Dockweiler, will remain in our memories forever as a wonderful holiday. It is very well maintained and equally clean. It has all the furnishings you are used to at home. The small kitchen is so well equipped that it is a real pleasure for every hobby cook to cook something there. The landlord and landlady are very nice and very friendly! We are already looking forward to our next holiday in their beautiful Finnish house. Even our dog felt very comfortable there.
