The quiet country house from the 18th century has been renovated sensitively in typical Tuscan style and since 2000 serves as a vacation home. It is located in the idyllic landscape of Garfagnana on the border of the Natural Park of the Apuan Alps in the valley of Edron, near the small village of Poggio.
With 100 m² of living space, the two-storey villa offers plenty of space for 8 persons who are housed in 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The property is ideal for celebrations for about 20 people in the house and 40 people in the garden area.

The lower floor is accessed by the large entrance to the living room with a cozy fireplace, followed by at the kitchen / dining area, where all guests can be seated at the big table. At this level there are 2 double bedrooms and 1 bathroom with shower.
On the upper floor there are also 2 bedrooms, one with double bed, the other with two separate beds, even here, 1 bathroom with shower.
In economic area the guests have a washing machine.

In 500m² of gardens in the immediate vicinity of the apartment building is the swimming pool (10x6m, depth 1,45m) with adjacent slabs, which are equipped with sun loungers.
Right next to it there is a small outbuilding with a spacious loggia, which is equipped with a large dining table and chairs.
Particularly attractive for the preparation of meals in the open is the small outdoor kitchen, barbecue and a brick pizza oven.
Here also is available to guests yet another bathroom with shower.
For children is available a swing.
On the plot is enough parking for 4 cars.
The property is near an asphalt road, only the last 50 meters are unsurfaced.

The house is just a short drive from the village of Poggio, surrounded by lush vegetation, very close to the famous nature park of the Apuan Alps.
Here guests can go on long hiking and biking on the many green paths.
In the warmer months, take a swim in the river offers Edron.
But also for day trips to the famous Tuscan art cities around like Florence, Pisa, Prato or Pistoia holiday home is an ideal starting point.
In the nearby historic city of Lucca you drive a few kilometers and the beaches of Forte Dei Marmi or Viareggio are also not far away.
The nearest village with small supermarket, bar and restaurant is located about 3 km, to the post office and bank are just 2 km.
The next town with a supermarket and other shops can be reached in about 10 km away.
There are also a number of sporting activities around: Horse back riding, golf, tennis, fishing in the river and visit the thermal baths are just a small selection of possibilities.

This perfect outdoor kitchen must be particularly highlighted - as well as the pool.

Pure nature
We spent a very relaxing vacation in this beautiful house with 5 adults and a dog. Despite high temperatures, it was bearable due to the many shaded areas outside, the lovely pool, and the light breeze that occasionally came through. We stayed outside almost continuously.
The landlord was always available to talk to us if we had questions.
The only thing that surprised us was the passage room on the 1st floor, which was designated as the 4th. The bedroom was indicated. We could arrange ourselves with it, but it was not ideal.
All in all, it was a very nice stay.

Very well maintained facility
We were received very nicely by the owner.
Unfortunately, he didn't speak English, but we still managed to communicate somehow.
The pool, the house and the whole complex were very well maintained. The garden was a dream. The courgettes we got from Graciano were very tasty.
Our dog also felt very comfortable as the river was close by and her playmate Tosca watched over us day and night. I can only recommend it.
