Description
Our modern holiday flat for up to 4 people in the Glockenberg holiday park is the ideal starting point for many activities in Altenau and the Harz region.
The 56 m² flat has a south-facing balcony with a wonderful distant view from the 6th floor
The combined living/dining room is modernly furnished. The equipment includes a flat-screen TV with HD reception. If you prefer not to watch TV, there are books and games for children and adults.
There are two separate full bedrooms with windows, one bedroom with a double bed, the other with 2 single beds. There is plenty of wardrobe space
The beds are equipped with slatted frames (adjustable in the double bed) and high-quality mattresses. Both rooms have windows with pleated blinds as well as doors to the living room.
The shower-bathroom is equipped with a mirror cabinet with bright LED light, vanity mirror, spacious washbasin base cabinet and towel radiator.
The modern kitchen offers large drawer pull-outs, plenty of crockery and cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, egg boiler and coffee machine. Of course, a thermos flask and teapot are provided
The "Heißer-Brocken" thermal bath offers perfect relaxation in brine baths, saunas and steam baths. You will find the Therme directly opposite the holiday flat.
Winter sports equipment can be stored in the ski cellar.
Washing machines and dryers are available in the neighbouring house and can be used for a fee.
On request (e.g. if you arrive by train/bus) we offer an optional linen package (bed linen and towels). Price on request.

Altenau with its district Torfhaus is a climatic health resort in the heart of the Upper Harz
Our holiday flat for up to 4 people in the Glockenberg holiday park, modernised in 2014, is the ideal starting point for a wide range of activities in Altenau and the Harz region.
Not only do beautiful hiking trails start directly at the house, but there are also special routes for mountain bikers and Nordic walkers. In winter, cross-country trails are prepared for beginners as well as for professionals.
For alpine skiers, the Harz offers more than many think. Altenau offers beginners a slope with a ski lift. In the Torfhaus district there is also a lift for tobogganing. Snow-covered challenging downhill runs in Braunlage, Hahnenklee and on the Sonnenberg are a short distance away.
After sporting activities, the "Heißer-Brocken" thermal spa offers perfect relaxation in brine baths, saunas and steam baths. You will find the spa directly opposite the holiday flat.
There are many other possibilities directly on site. Some examples:
The world's largest herb park with spice gallery and spice pagoda is located in Altenau at the end of the village in the direction of Torfhaus.
Torchlight hikes, Brocken hikes and hikes with the forester or the rangers of the Harz National Park are offered in the village
In summer, a forest swimming pool offers refreshment. A boat trip with refreshments is available on the Oker reservoir
The Altenau brewery offers tours
Musical events are held regularly at the Kurgastzentrum.
Several restaurants and cafés offer well-deserved refreshments and Harz specialities.
The Harz mountains can be easily explored from Altenau. Public buses leave directly from the spa and connect Altenau with the district of Torfhaus, with Claustal-Zellerfeld, Goslar, Bad Harzburg and other destinations.

Cancellation terms:
Free cancellation possible up to 21 days before the arrival date.
If you are unable to occupy the apartment for important reasons, a free cancellation is possible up to 3 weeks before the start of the rental period. Please inform us as early as possible. Unfortunately, after that, we must charge a cancellation fee of 30% of the total rental price.

Best equipped, modern, prime location, great view
In this apartment, everything has been thought of to make a vacation enjoyable. All kitchen utensils are available (dishes must be washed by hand), everything one needs. Very well thought-out furnishings with enough space. A "starter set" is provided at the beginning, so you don't have to bring dish soap, coffee filters, salt, etc. from home right away. Great view from the balcony. Thermal baths 50m across. Everything is in top order, very clean, very practically laid out. Communication and information in advance are simple and quick. Emails and questions are answered immediately. We would love to come back again.

Super holiday apartment where one feels comfortable, with a great view from the balcony.
Great holiday apartment
Lovingly and cozily furnished, with everything needed for a relaxing vacation. There are also various games for children. The Heisser Brocken spa is opposite the holiday apartment, as well as the bus stop and a bakery. A grocery store is within walking distance, about a 10-minute walk, as well as various restaurants in the village. Very uncomplicated rental, landlord very nice and helpful. Definitely a clear recommendation.

The apartment is super clean and very quiet. Great facilities but unfortunately no oven.
The balcony is a good size and has a great view.
Great hiking trails nearby and right here in Altenau.
We felt very comfortable.

We had never had a vacation rental like this one. The furnishings are perfect. Absolutely nothing is missing. If possible, we would love to come back.

Holiday apartment highly recommended
We spontaneously booked this beautiful, cozy apartment with attention to detail for our short vacation. The booking and communication were uncomplicated, fast, and very friendly, and everything went smoothly. The apartment is very well-equipped, and you can find everything you need. Cleanliness is absolutely top-notch! The view from the window or the small balcony is wonderful. Right in front of the door, you will find the thermal baths where you can relax after hikes and enjoy a great meal if you like. Numerous excursion destinations can also be reached by car within a few minutes. On foot, there are shopping facilities and restaurants in the village itself, and you are just a few steps away from nature. We would love to come back or recommend you.
