Description
Our modern holiday flat for up to 4 people in the Glockenberg holiday park is the ideal starting point for many activities in Altenau and the Harz region.
The 56 m² flat has a south-facing balcony with a wonderful distant view from the 6th floor
The combined living/dining room is modernly furnished. The equipment includes a flat-screen TV with HD reception. If you prefer not to watch TV, there are books and games for children and adults.
There are two separate full bedrooms with windows, one bedroom with a double bed, the other with 2 single beds. There is plenty of wardrobe space
The beds are equipped with slatted frames (adjustable in the double bed) and high-quality mattresses. Both rooms have windows with pleated blinds as well as doors to the living room.
The shower-bathroom is equipped with a mirror cabinet with bright LED light, vanity mirror, spacious washbasin base cabinet and towel radiator.
The modern kitchen offers large drawer pull-outs, plenty of crockery and cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, egg boiler and coffee machine. Of course, a thermos flask and teapot are provided
The "Heißer-Brocken" thermal bath offers perfect relaxation in brine baths, saunas and steam baths. You will find the Therme directly opposite the holiday flat.
Winter sports equipment can be stored in the ski cellar.
Washing machines and dryers are available in the neighbouring house and can be used for a fee.
On request (e.g. if you arrive by train/bus) we offer an optional linen package (bed linen and towels). Price on request.

Altenau with its district Torfhaus is a climatic health resort in the heart of the Upper Harz
Our holiday flat for up to 4 people in the Glockenberg holiday park, modernised in 2014, is the ideal starting point for a wide range of activities in Altenau and the Harz region.
Not only do beautiful hiking trails start directly at the house, but there are also special routes for mountain bikers and Nordic walkers. In winter, cross-country trails are prepared for beginners as well as for professionals.
For alpine skiers, the Harz offers more than many think. Altenau offers beginners a slope with a ski lift. In the Torfhaus district there is also a lift for tobogganing. Snow-covered challenging downhill runs in Braunlage, Hahnenklee and on the Sonnenberg are a short distance away.
After sporting activities, the "Heißer-Brocken" thermal spa offers perfect relaxation in brine baths, saunas and steam baths. You will find the spa directly opposite the holiday flat.
There are many other possibilities directly on site. Some examples:
The world's largest herb park with spice gallery and spice pagoda is located in Altenau at the end of the village in the direction of Torfhaus.
Torchlight hikes, Brocken hikes and hikes with the forester or the rangers of the Harz National Park are offered in the village
In summer, a forest swimming pool offers refreshment. A boat trip with refreshments is available on the Oker reservoir
The Altenau brewery offers tours
Musical events are held regularly at the Kurgastzentrum.
Several restaurants and cafés offer well-deserved refreshments and Harz specialities.
The Harz mountains can be easily explored from Altenau. Public buses leave directly from the spa and connect Altenau with the district of Torfhaus, with Claustal-Zellerfeld, Goslar, Bad Harzburg and other destinations.

The apartment is super clean and very quiet. Great facilities but unfortunately no oven.
The balcony is a good size and has a great view.
Great hiking trails nearby and right here in Altenau.
We felt very comfortable.

Ferienwohnung sehr zu empfehlen
Ganz spontan haben wir für unseren Kurzurlaub diese wunderschöne, gemütliche Wohnung mit Liebe zum Detail, buchen können. Die Buchung und Kommunikation war unkompliziert, schnell und sehr freundlich und es lief alles reibungslos.
Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und man findet alles was man braucht. Sauberkeit absolut top!
Der Ausblick aus dem Fenster bzw. dem kleinen Balkon ist herrlich.
Direkt vor der Tür findet man die Therme, die nach den Wanderungen zum Entspannen und wer mag, einem tollen Essen genießen kann.
Auch mit dem Auto sind zahlreiche Ausflugsziele in ein paar Minuten zu erreichen. Zu Fuß gibt es in dem Ort selbst, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants und man ist in ein paar Schritten mitten in der Natur.

Empfehlenswerte Ferienwohnung
Wir haben eine tolle und saubere Ferienwohnung vorgefunden.
Eine Woche Wanderurlaub im schönen Harz wurde uns am Abend in der gut ausgestatteten Wohnung versüßt. Es hat uns an nichts in der geschmackvollen Wohnung gefehlt .wir haben den schönen Ausblick ins Grüne auf dem Balkon am Morgen und Abend zum Ausspannen genossen.Wir kommen gerne einmal wieder.

Super gemütliche Wohnung ! Absolute Weiterempfehlung
Wir waren bereits zum 2 Mal für jeweils 2 Wochen im Sommer dort im Urlaub. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, die Kommunikation und Buchung klappt ohne Probleme und die Wohnung ist sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht.
Auch an die Kinder wurde gedacht( Spielzeug und Bücher sind ausreichend vorhanden)
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Wunderbarer Kurzurlaub
Wir haben einen sehr entspannten Urlaub in der Wohnung verbracht. Die Kommunikation sowohl vorab als auch vor Ort war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit und es war der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen wie Erlebnissbocksberg, Weltkulturerbe Rammelsberg oder einfach mal schnell runter in die Therme... Wunderbar!!
Eine tolle, gemütliche Wohnung empfing uns bei Schmuddelwetter! Und da die nachfolgenden Tage auch sehr durchwachsen waren, tat es sehr gut so einen optimal gut eingerichteten Anlaufpunkt nach den "Wanderungen" zu haben. Man kann sich dort seeeehr wohl fühlen und hat einen schönen, unverstellten Blick ins Grüne.

Wundervolle Tage im Harz
...mit reichlich Schnee, der am Tage zum Skilanglauf und Rodeln in wundervoller Landschaft einlud. Am Abend- nach gutem Essen und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten im Ort - stand einem erholsamen Ausklang in der liebevoll und außerordentlich gemütlich sowie praktisch eingerichteten Wohnung nichts im Wege. Auch in diesem Jahr rundete der Aufenthalt zur Entspannung in der direkt gegenüber liegenden Therme "Heißer Brocken" diesen Kurzurlaub ab. Wir werden auf jeden Fall auch ein 3. Mal wieder kommen!

Gemütlich und gut gelegen
Wir haben mit unseren Kindern ein Wochenende im Harz verbracht. Meine Tochter fand das Hochhaus erst nicht so toll aber die Wohnung ist ganz toll und modern eingerichtet. Alles sehr gemütlich. Torfhaus ist ca 15 min entfernt, Rodeln konnte man auch um die Ecke. Wir waren begeistert

Wunderbares Feriendomizil
Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und hat uns ein gemütliches Basislager für die Erkundung der Umgebung geboten. Der Blick aus allen Fenstern ist wunderschön, über die grünen Hänge des Oberharzes. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung bietet alles, was wir in einer Woche Urlaub benötigten, vermisst haben wir nichts. Obwohl die Wohnung sich nicht unmittelbar im Ortszentrum befindet, ist doch alles Notwendige und Wünschenswerte in direkter Nähe. Die Therme, ein Bäcker und einige Gaststätten sind mit einem Katzensprung zu erreichen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und noch mehr Gaststätten mit einem kleinen Spaziergang in den Ort. Von der Wohnung aus ist man in wenigen Schritten in der Natur des Harzes, Spaziergänge und Wanderungen rund um Altenau haben uns viel Spaß gemacht. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und dieses Domizil genießen! Für uns zu jeder Jahreszeit eine gute Empfehlung.
