The flat is in a flat house at the end of a cul-de-sac, in a residential area of Zinnowitz. The centre of the village and supermarket are approx. 250 m away. To the Baltic Sea beach approx. 600 m, indoor swimming pool 1.5 km.
Together with three other houses the house forms the 'Ostsee-Quartett'. Well-kept lawns and shrubs between the houses, shared barbecue area. In the neighbouring house there is a locked bicycle room for shared use and a reserved parking space in the underground garage

Baltic Sea Quartet - Usedom

Germany's second-largest island stretches along the Baltic Sea coast of Western Pomerania on an area of about 450 km2 between the Oderhaff, Oder Bay and Peene River. Rügen is about 30 km to the northwest. The Oder estuary separates Usedom almost as a mirror image from its sister island Wollin off the Polish coast.
The scenic attraction of Usedom is the contrast between the almost straight coastal strip facing the open sea with its 40 km long sandy beach and the strongly dissected Bodden coast on the opposite side, which reaches a length of 160 km with its many peninsulas and bays. The Achterwasser almost divides Usedom into two parts, with Koserow being the narrowest part of the island, only 200 m wide.
Traditional seaside resorts line the Baltic coast, including the elegant 'Three Sisters' of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin, connected by an 8 km long beach promenade. The magnificent spa-style villas and extensively renovated piers are reminiscent of the splendour of the imperial era.
The Baltic Sea and the Achterwasser offer ideal water sports conditions: Fishing, sailing, windsurfing, surfing schools, several marinas. Beach chair rentals are available on the Baltic Sea beaches. Well-marked hiking and cycling trails all over the island. Golf course (3 x 9 holes) in Balm. In Ahlbeck, the Baltic spa and border crossing to Swinemünde (Poland).
The Usedom Bäderbahn runs between Wolgast and Swinemünde. Flights with Air Berlin to Heringsdorf from several German airports.

Baltic resort Zinnowitz

The oldest seaside resort on Usedom lies in the north-west of the island. Wolgast is 10 km to the west. Many hotels, guesthouses and villas in seaside style, mostly built around 1900, have been restored in recent years and give Zinnowitz a new splendour. The village, surrounded by pine and beech forests, stretches along the slopes of the gently rising Glienberg. The main attraction is the 3 km long, approx. 40 m wide, gently sloping sandy beach; boat trips to Swinemünde depart from the pier.
In the village: indoor seawater pool with sauna and health facilities, tennis, sports garden with mini-golf, bicycle hire, beach volleyball, open-air stage (Vineta Festival) and diving gondola for a look under the waves of the Baltic Sea. Zinnowitz stretches from the lakeside promenade along the Baltic Sea to the Achterwasser with marina (boat rental), only 1.5 km away.
"Karl's Strawberry Farm" as the newest attraction in Koserow can be experienced at any time.

SUPER!!!!!

A beautiful holiday apartment with everything you need. Nothing was missing, fully equipped and very clean. The key handover went smoothly. As we had the best weather, we could eat on the beautifully furnished balcony and end the evenings. The beach is about a 10-minute walk away, passing many lovely small shops. There were more than enough shopping opportunities, reachable in a 3-minute walk. Even for the little holidaymakers, there was plenty to let off steam. Conclusion.... everything just fit.

Service/facilities/various/cleanliness

Service: It concerns the key handover upon arrival. Mrs. Schlutter knew that we were arriving but was not reachable by phone. We tried for 20 minutes, in vain. We then tried to reach the owner by phone, but he was also not reachable at the provided phone number.
Facilities: The TV in the bedroom is not working.
Miscellaneous: The house is very noisy, renovations were being done in an apartment before 8:00 AM. In another apartment, furniture was assembled for three days.
Furthermore, in one apartment, the fire alarm went off (false alarm). The designated caretaker did not consider this apartment his responsibility, so the fire department had to be called.
Cleanliness: Clipped toenails were found on the couch. The couch cushions smell.

Super Ferienwohnung

The holiday apartment is modern, cozy, and equipped with everything you need. Thanks to the parking space in the underground garage belonging to the apartment, you always have a dry parking spot. The location is great. A bakery across the street and a supermarket about 150 meters away are perfect for daily supplies. The beach can be reached in just a few minutes. On the way there, you pass by a few souvenir shops. There are also some restaurants where you can eat really well. All in all, a perfect vacation. We will definitely come back.

Schöne Ferienwohnung

We spent two weeks at the end of October in this apartment to enjoy wonderful bike tours on Usedom. The holiday apartment was great and offered everything we expected. It is located in a quiet area, yet not far from shopping and the city center. The apartment is beautifully furnished. Everything we needed was there. The living room is spacious and has plenty of seating areas and good lighting - also for reading. In the kitchen, we found everything necessary to cook for ourselves or prepare for a bike tour. WiFi, television, and a good radio were available. The heating was easily adjustable.
The only drawback: Our E-bikes were stored well in the almost empty garage. However, it might be full in the summer. A designated bike cellar is available but is located in a neighboring house, requiring climbing an external staircase. There is indeed a concrete track. However, pushing up regular bicycles and especially e-bikes was difficult and very inconvenient for older or disabled cyclists. Thankfully, we didn't have to do that!

Comfortable and modern

The vacation rental is bright, spacious, and very comfortably furnished. The generous amenities of the apartment as well as its top location allow for a relaxing holiday. Shopping and swimming options are very easy to reach. Various restaurants are located in the immediate vicinity. For culturally interested guests, cinema and church (concerts) are inviting and can be reached within a few minutes. We were completely satisfied and would love to come back!

As a flat renter, I grew up in M-V and can only recommend the country and its people. I often like to go to the Baltic Sea and normally live in the Mecklenburg Lake District, it's beautiful everywhere here and I would never want to leave this state, even though Germany has so many beautiful areas and recreational opportunities to offer I wish all holidaymakers from near and far a wonderful and relaxing holiday.
