Holiday in Tuscany
If you want to take a vacation away from the tourist hustle and bustle, you're in the right place. The dreamy village of Monteggiori, perched on a mountain, offers peace and relaxation. We were three and the accommodation is perfect for that. The direct mountainous surroundings can be explored on foot. A car is essential for shopping, beach days, or excursions to tourist centers. Highly recommended is dinner at the Tre Terrazze restaurant opposite the village church. The fantastic food can be enjoyed here with a dream view of the coastline and sea. Contact with the landlady was uncomplicated, and she is always available for problems or questions. We will gladly come back.

Vacation August 2021
We have now stayed in this house for the 3rd time and as always, we have enjoyed it. A wonderful stay and a very courteous and uncomplicated landlady. One more tip: those who want to eat at Tre Terrazze should reserve a table in advance, especially on weekends.

Arrive and feel at home!
We had an uncomplicated and relaxing vacation. You have to get used to the climb from the parking lot to the Finca, but from the third day on, it's no longer a problem :-). The contact with the landlord was very pleasant and friendly. We will be happy to visit again!

Bella Italia: Beautiful Italy
Last year we spent our vacation here and we were thrilled. You get a sense of the past in these historic walls. We especially enjoyed breakfast and evenings on the terrace. Many sights and beautiful beaches can be easily reached by car. Hiking in beautiful nature is just as possible here as sunbathing on the beach. The contact with the landlady and her daughter was uncomplicated and informative. Thanks again at this point ☀️

Ein paradiesischer Urlaub
We were quick to decide - in our early 60s we are considered an "older couple" - to spend about a week in beautiful Tuscany. Quite coincidentally, we had chosen the Villina d'Elsa, mainly because of its convenient location in the mountains, yet very close to the sea, with Florence and Lucca also not far away. We didn't really care much about the accommodation.
But: It was a stroke of luck! Already from the parking lot in front of the village, walking through the medieval alleys towards the center of the former Monteggiori Castle, one feels transported to another time. And then the house itself: three small floors stacked on top of each other, but all tastefully and cleverly furnished, so that nothing is missing in the kitchen or anywhere else. We really enjoyed the beautiful terrace and even harvested a lemon or two - this is how an evening Campari tastes even better. But we also often used the cooler living room during the midday heat. Thinking of a fireplace or gas heating was out of the question in this season, but we noted with interest that both are available - one will also feel comfortable here in the cooler months.
Overall, we were out and about a lot, hiking, once to Lucca (highly recommended) and also to Pisa, where this year the fuss about the leaning tower was noticeably reduced. The people in Monteggiori were totally nice and helpful, and when we couldn't continue with German and English, we could usually still communicate with hands and feet. That was already impressive, and one notices that here, even if there are many foreign guests, one is a guest in an intact village community.
A word about Corona: According to our observations, the Italians handle the protective measures surprisingly disciplined and at the same time calmly. We managed well with it and did not find that it diminished our holiday enjoyment!

Ein fantastischer Aufenthalt
My husband, my 6-year-old son, and I had a wonderful time in Viliana d'Elsa. Those looking for the authentic will be thrilled by the lovingly restored cottage that is very difficult to capture in its full beauty in photos. We lacked nothing, the very friendly landlady was always available by phone and had great tips for us. So we ate at Tre Terrazze with a reservation, which is right behind the house. Incredibly delicious! In front of the car-free village there is a large parking area. From there, you are rewarded with a beautiful view over Monteggiori on the way up to the house. We definitely want to come back and feel quite wistful that our time there is over.

Relaxing vacation with dog
In the beautiful, very well-equipped house, we immediately felt at home. We could enjoy our meals in peace on the nicely planted, cozy terrace. The walk from one of the parking lots was not a problem either. The beaches and excursions in Tuscany are easily accessible by car. Unfortunately, the Tre Terrazze restaurant was fully booked during our stay.

Unique house with great location
Beautiful authentic house in a car-free mountain village. You have to be good on foot, but you will be rewarded. Beautiful green terrace and the furnishings are very tasteful. The place is off the beaten track, yet the sea is about 15 minutes away. We would love to come back and can only recommend the house.

Adventurous romantic holiday
Small, lovingly furnished house in a medieval setting, absolute peace and delight in the extremely tasteful decor. Starting point for explorations in the wonderful Tuscan surroundings and for hikes in the immediate vicinity. Shopping must be well planned due to a few winding kilometers to the nearest store and a short walk to the house, but the spectacular landscape, the great Italian food at home or in countless restaurants, and the lovely cottage make up for all the efforts. Thank you for the memorable holiday.

a small journey back in time.....Rustic, peaceful, and like in the Middle Ages
we stayed at VILLINA D'ELSA for a week. We were looking for peace, a rustic Tuscan village, some solitude, and a nearby place to eat. All our wishes were fulfilled. The restaurant Le Tre Terrazze alone is a hidden gem with its location and view. Guests are very well taken care of. It's just 20 meters away. Make sure to reserve in advance! The landlady is very nice and helpful. Everything is there except for Wi-Fi. You don't need a television. We enjoyed the evenings on the small terrace with a glass of wine.
Once again, we noticed that the people in Italy are very, very nice. If you want, you can quickly get in touch with the locals of the small town in the beautiful evening hours.
The sea is only 7 km away. If you want to go to a natural beach, it takes about 20 minutes.
It was a very nice week in May with lots of sunshine.

Wunderbare Ruhe
We spent a wonderful week in the cozy holiday apartment. The small, romantic village in the middle of the mountains, far away from any hustle and bustle, gave us a time of relaxation in the "real" Italy. From here, we took beautiful trips by car to the sea and to the cities of Pisa, Lucca, and Florence. It is also highly recommended to bring along bicycles. You can park very well outside the cities and then reach the center along the river or through green areas. Again gladly.

Romantisch und ruhig
After two holidays in this dreamy remote house in the small, quiet town of Monteggiori, I can recommend this vacation rental to anyone who wants to be far away from the usual tourist crowds. Spread over three floors, with the sea in front and the mountains in the back, lovingly equipped with a living room, a bedroom, kitchen, and modern bathroom, the house is especially suitable for a holiday for two. A fireplace in the living room and a partially covered terrace, protected from views by surrounding walls, guarantee an undisturbed vacation in any season and weather, well-suited for people who enjoy reading, writing, or meditating. Excursions into the surrounding area possible by bus, but even better by car. Heike, Hamburg.

Romantische Ferien
I have already spent two wonderful and relaxing days with my girlfriend at Villina d'Elsa. The house is cozy and very "Tuscan", especially the terrace. However, one should be good at walking and generally quite mobile to vacation in Monteggio. And for excursions in the surrounding area and to the culturally rich cities, a car is needed.
