The holiday home is located between Kühlungsborn East and West, 5 minutes walk from the nearest shopping facilities (Penny, beverage market).
The holiday home is located between the Hanseatic cities of Wismar (36 km) and Rostock (30 km). Furthermore, the Baltic seaside resort of Rerik (14 km), the seaside resort of Heiligendamm (8 km) and the spa resort of Bad Doberan (13 km) invite you to make excursions in the surrounding area. The Baltic resort of Kühlungsborn is the largest bathing and recreational resort in Mecklenburg and lies directly on the Mecklenburg Bay.
The town was awarded the title of "seaside resort" on 15 February 1996. Germany's longest beach promenade runs here, 3150 metres in length. At its western end, the promenade flows into the spacious Baltic Square. The wide sandy beach stretches for about six kilometres. The town of Ostseebad Kühlungsborn has about 9500 inhabitants and is a long town with two town centres: Kühlungsborn West (formerly Ahrendsee) and Kühlungsborn Ost (formerly Brunshaupten). In the centre is the 133-hectare town forest with comfortably laid-out paths and a climbing forest. in 1991 Kühlungsborn got the 240-metre-long pier, where passenger ships can moor.
In Kühlungsborn there is particularly beautiful architecture known as spa architecture in various components and styles, as well as furnishing elements, and of course the decorative ornamental forms of Art Nouveau.
Kühlungsborn has several supermarkets and three petrol stations, the station of the historic narrow-gauge railway "Molli", several restaurants, cafés, boutiques, two concert gardens, playgrounds, tennis courts, cinema and beach cinema, bowling alley, mini-golf, water sports centre, riding school and a golf course 2 km away. There are many excursion destinations in the vicinity of Kühlungsborn.

The wind blows mostly side-shore from the west. 75% of the prevailing winds are pure sea breezes, which ensure a typical island climate with particularly clean air.
In 1882, the Rostock yard basket maker Wilhelm Bartelmann invented the beach chair that is still popular today, at that time a single-seater model with a rounded roof. His descendants still live in Kühlungsborn today.

Vacation with children
A very beautiful and warmly decorated bungalow. Perfect for a holiday with two children.
Walking to the beach takes about 20 minutes, which is perfectly fine; exercise is good and keeps you healthy.
Mr. and Mrs. Düttbrenner are very nice and open-minded landlords, who especially like children.
Renting a bicycle was also no problem, and with that, one was so mobile that a car wasn't needed for the week. In and around Kühlungsborn there is a lot to experience, and when the weather is nice, the beach is of course number 1. All in all, a great holiday in a super cozy place. ? ? We really liked the accommodation. It is clean, beautiful, and furnished with many practical details. The location is pleasantly quiet. Bicycles are recommended because of the distance to the beach. Very nice landlady.

Recommended for 2 people.
We spent a week in the rear house and were very satisfied. Nothing was missing. However, since the beach is about 1.6 km away, a bicycle is advisable. Nice landlords.

Accommodation is conditionally recommended, not adequately heated in colder seasons. Mattresses of mediocre quality.

Für die kalte Jahreszeit steht zur obligatorischen Heizung zusätzlich ein Kaminofen zum Anheizen bereit, den der Urlauber aber nicht genutzt hat.
Eine 18 cm dicke Matratze kann den Schlafkomfort eines Boxspring Bettes natürlich nicht toppen. Der Urlauber war unhöflich uns gegenüber, er hatte schlechtes Wetter und seinen Frust am Vermieter ausgelassen, wie man sagt das Haar in der Suppe gesucht.

Empfehlenswertes Ferienhaus
A very lovingly and tastefully furnished holiday home awaited us. Everything was super clean!!! The landlords are very nice and accommodating. We didn't lack anything! It takes about 20 minutes on foot to get to the beach, so bicycles are recommended, which are also offered by the landlord in the description. We were quickly at the beach with our own bikes.
