De Meerkoet (The Coot) is a luxurious 4 persons Holiday Lodge with a spacious living room, with open kitchen and dishwasher. There are two bedrooms, one double, and a bedroom with 2 single beds. A bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. Outside there is a waterfront terrace with hardwood garden furniture. Around the lodge there is a garden on the waterfront. When renting the Lodge De Meerkoet an electric boat in the price is from February to October included!
In the cottages (lodges) into and around the water, enjoy the peace and tranquility. Each lodge features a living room with open kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The luxury cottages on the lake in a professional and designed with attention to detail in different, bright color combinations and are surrounded by greenery and water. Their Lodge is surrounded by nature. You can go from your private dock from a boat ride, take a walking tour, or cycling, swimming or fishing.

Location and surroundings of object
The town Giethoorn nestles on a eight-kilometer channel from which branch off a number of small canals. Hardly surprising, therefore, is that Giethoorn is also known as "Venice of the North" in the Netherlands. The plots of the town are strung together in the form of small islands, their abundant green hills, thatched farmhouses characterize the village scenery. High bridges link the individual islands. However, the locals are most like on the water go. Your favorite companions are the so-called Flüsterboote - open, particularly noiseless boats, easy to use with an environmentally friendly engine equipped. This unique park consists of atmospheric Non smoking water lodges for 2, 4 and 6 people. The lodges are located on 4 headlands, which are surrounded by water and have a private jetty. Here you can experience peace and tranquility. Each cottage has its own jetty, so you can go directly from your holiday home a boat ride. Plus: An electric boat is available per guest (February to October), free of charge. The idyllic town of Giethoorn is characteristic for its many canals, small wooden bridges and thatched farmhouses.

Wonderful resort
We had a very nice week with the three of us and the dog. The boat is just beautiful. And you can also discover a lot of beautiful things on foot in the village.

Wonderful holidays
We spent wonderful holidays in the complex, peace and quiet and time to read and relax.
Of course, what is special is that you can enjoy and explore the area with the boat that comes with it, sometimes take it shopping or out for a meal!
