Location and surroundings of object
The village of Bergen is to be found in Chiemgau, the region between Munich (100 km) and Salzburg (40 km) near lake Chiemsee.
This picturesque village lies in a valley at the foot of the Alps within easy reach of the motorway and the train station.
You can enjoy from huge variety of recreational activities the aera offers.
Bettis Bungalow is an ideal spot for many activities like cycling and walking.
Only a 10 minutes drive and you are at lake Chiemsee, where you can visit one of king Ludwigs castels, Schloss Herren-chiemsee.
The Nationalpark Berchtesgaden and lake Königsee are also some special places to see.
You can also take the train to Munich to visit the Oktoberfest or at least the Hofbräuhaus.
In the Chiemgau area ther are several quite beautiful lakes for swimming, walking and cycling. This region also offers activities such as bird watching, golf, mini golf, traditional festivals, museeums, wellness, skiing, sledding and special Christmas markets in December, not to forget Salzburg!
There are some popular Skiresorts around our village:
Ruhpolding 20 min, Winklmoos-Steinplatte 30 min, Kössen in Austria 40 min. drive.

On rainy days it´s ideal to visit Salzburg, several museums, Schloss Herrenchiemsee the castel of
King Ludwig, or just have a wellness day.

Walk or take the cable car from the village up to the top of Hochfelln Mountain.
On a clear day you can enjoy a spectacular view over the Alps and the Chiemgau region with lake Chiemsee.

Also well suited for wheelchair users
We spent 2 wonderful and relaxing weeks in and around Bergen. The flat is lovingly furnished and very well maintained. As we travel with a wheelchair user, we were always anxious to find out whether the flat was really barrier-free. We were not disappointed. The ramp for the entrance steps was already in place when we arrived. Everything was at ground level, wonderfully spacious and easy to navigate, even the terrace was easy to reach.
Mrs Sigl was a very attentive and nice host.
Thank you for letting us eat our fill of delicious johnnisberries.
We felt very comfortable! Maybe we will see each other again! Thank you

Great holiday home and a great hostess
Betti's Bungalow is a truly dreamy holiday home with a really nice landlady. In the past, we have already visited many holiday homes, but we have never felt so well taken care of anywhere else and have never been received so friendly. The house is lovingly furnished and lacks nothing. The surroundings are great and invite you to do many activities. We thank Mrs. Sigl for the beautiful vacation days and hope that we can come back next year. G. and D. Knost.

Great house in a very quiet location
Hello Mrs Sigl, thank you very much for the wonderful holiday in your super clean and cosy house. The garden was a dream for our Kia and the location with the dog is simply fantastic. Great house with beautiful garden also for the dog
The house was just as beautiful as in the pictures and very lovingly designed by Mrs Sigl. Even a bottle of sparkling wine and an Easter nest were waiting for us. We liked the place very much, especially the many possibilities to go out with the dog. Thanks to the many excursion destinations that Mrs Sigl had sent us in advance, we spent an eventful week. We can highly recommend the house.

Super Haus mit tollem Garten und eine sehr nette Vermieterin
Wir waren bei Frau Sigl und von der ersten Sekunde an begeistert! Ein wunderschönes Haus, top gepflegt und mit viel Liebe betreut! Es blieben keine Wünsche offen und Dank der tollen Tipps von Frau Sigl haben wir auch die Gegend gut kennen und lieben gelernt. Uns hat auch besonders der Ort gefallen. Sehr beschaulich und nicht so überrannt. Wir werden dieses Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und gerne wiederkommen.
