Welcome to our holiday home on the Rothaarsteig in Winterberg-Langewiese. Whether you are looking for relaxation or a sporting challenge, Langewiese offers you the perfect starting point for a wonderful holiday! With friends, with children, or just on your own, here you will find peace and relaxation from everyday life. Leave your worries at home and treat yourself to a break in nature.
The holiday home was completely renovated in 2012 and the rooms have been lovingly furnished in a country house style. In addition to a large bedroom with a double bed, the ground floor features the living and kitchen area with a view of the garden. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, ceramic hob, microwave, large refrigerator with freezer compartment, a dishwasher, and a coffee machine. In the living room there is a television with satellite TV, a DVD player, and a CD player. A staircase leads to the attic, where there are two more bedrooms (maximum ceiling height 1.50m). Pure cabin romance! The bathroom has a shower and a washer-dryer.
The outdoor area with a view of the Kahler Asten offers a magnificent view of the Sauerland mountains.
In winter, snow must be cleared!
Bicycles can be stored safely and dry in a lockable vestibule!
The garden behind the house is fenced, so you can let your dog run.

Cozy little house
Cozy furnished cottage in a beautiful location. Ideal for a walking holiday. Walking paths/roads in the area are ideal: many signs, benches, and maps along the way so you won't get lost easily. Beautiful views.
The cottage is located on the edge of Langewiese. A shop where you can buy almost all basic groceries and, for example, also an ice cream is a 5-minute walk away (although there is sometimes very little choice in vegetables/fruits). Everything looks neat and well-kept, and you can see that it has been furnished with a lot of love. You immediately feel welcome. The cottage is clean, and everything has been thought of, for example, games. The clock with the jumping letters was very popular with our older children.
The garden by the house is wonderfully spacious. You can sit in the sun, it's a nice place for the dog. In the countryside, there are containers with dog poop bags, which is very nice, and you hardly see any dog poop outside. We found it an ideal place with the dog.
One downside: we knew that the attic rooms were low, but in reality, we found them quite stuffy. For small (!) children, I think it’s a great place to sleep and play, but for slightly older 'children,' it feels a bit claustrophobic. The downstairs bedroom is fine, though, in my opinion. This cottage is only suitable for a maximum of 2 (young) adults and possibly young children who enjoy sleeping alone in the attic.

Prachtig gelegen vakantiewoning
Had a wonderful holiday in this cozy, homely furnished holiday home. Enjoyed the peace, the quiet, and the large garden, our dog also loved it. The cottage was clean, and everything you need is there, even a washing machine and dishwasher. The location is also very beautiful, you can quickly reach Winterberg or the Kahler Asten, nice to take a walk there in the evening.

Beautiful vacation home!!!
We were with 2 people and 1 dog in Langewiese over Easter. Upon our arrival, the landlord Mr. Roetzel was still on site. We were able to get to know him as a very dear, nice, and courteous landlord.
The house has a beautiful location and is equipped with everything needed. It is a pleasure to sit in the garden (garden chairs + cushions are available) and enjoy the tranquility. Our dog (14.5 years old Jack Russell Terrier) could hardly wait to go outside. Large grassy area to run, search for mice, and play with the ball. All in all, a very nice, successful vacation because of the house and the surroundings. Warm greetings again to the Roetzel family from the three of us! ??

Top holiday home in a peaceful location
We had a great time. From the house, you can do so much in terms of walking, cycling, running, and mountain biking. What a beautiful area and just over three hours drive from home. We only needed the car to do some shopping in Winterberg. By the way, we could use the bus for free with a card included in the holiday home. It's great that there is a small supermarket with a bakery in Langewiese. Also nice that the dog was allowed in the vacation home. We will gladly come back here again once/multiple times. Super Ferienhaus
This well-equipped house leaves nothing to be desired! Perfect for 2-4 adults and children. The upper floor is not recommended for physically disabled individuals due to its lower ceiling height. No problem for everyone else, certainly an experience for children! The landlord explicitly pointed this out in advance. The equipment is perfect, and the location of the house is a dream for nature lovers. The spacious (almost completely fenced) garden is wonderful to use for both two- and four-legged friends. You have a direct view of the Kahlen Asten. The house is located on a quiet street, and the nearest hiking trail passes almost directly by the house. There are shopping possibilities locally (a bakery and everything for small purchases) or in nearby Winterberg (Edeka, Aldi, Lidl, Dm...). We can highly recommend this house and its friendly owners and would love to come back!
