"The Capricorn" - the house:
Our holiday home "Der Steinbock" in the tranquil Winterberg, district Langewiese, is very spacious: With 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3 toilets, a sauna, a spacious living room, a modern kitchen and a separate dining room the house offers enough space for families and groups of up to 12 (+2) persons. On a total of 240m² living space, which extends over three floors, and a 45m² terrace, you can relax from your adventures in the Sauerland nature and gather new energy for everyday life.
"Der Steinbock" is equipped with internet and all necessary devices. Washing machine and dryer are also available on the ground floor. A central oil-fired heating system provides cosy warmth in winter and supplies the whole house.
The bedrooms:
Our holiday home in Winterberg has a total of 6 bedrooms, which can accommodate up to 12 (+2) persons. We offer you:
- 5 bedrooms with double beds
- 1 bedroom with 2 single beds
- 2 cribs
The living room:
The light-flooded living room is fully furnished and offers enough space for cosy, sociable evenings. The window front faces the main street, which leads directly to the small town of Winterberg. Through the living room you can also reach the 45m² large terrace, where you can enjoy wonderful hours of sunshine with your loved ones. Dutch TV can be received via satellite.
The kitchen:
In our holiday home "Der Steinbock" a newly equipped, modern kitchen awaits you, in which no wishes remain unfulfilled: Induction cooker, oven and microwave are just waiting to be used by you. A large refrigerator including freezer is available for food storage. To get you going in the morning, you can also make use of a coffee machine - and for the tea drinkers among you there is of course a kettle. Up to 18 people can be served with the available cutlery
The bathrooms, WCs & washing machines:
There is no morning traffic jam in front of the locked bathroom door: on each floor there is a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. In one of the bathrooms a washing machine and a dryer have also been installed - you can use them as required at no extra cost.
The sauna & hobby cellar:
You need some extra relaxation after extensive outdoor activities? For this purpose, a wonderful sauna with an original Finnish sauna oven is available for use on the ground floor
One of our indoor garages can also be used for further leisure activities. There is an additional area where table tennis and table football can be played. Especially (big) children always have fun playing a game here!
The situation:
The Höhendorf Langewiese is located in the high areas of the Sauerland on the Rothaarsteig, one of the most densely wooded regions in Germany. Here the air is particularly good - no wonder that the 450-employee community has been officially recognised as a climatic health resort. Recreation and relaxation take on a very special meaning here.
In the middle of this harmonious village lies our holiday home "Der Steinbock" - directly on the main road leading to the more lively Winterberg. The town centre is actually only 8km away. But also in Langewiese you can get everything you need to eat and drink directly on site. Hardly 100m away from the holiday home there is a small supermarket where you can stock up with the most necessary groceries. You will also find a bakery, a gas station and some restaurants in Langewiese, where you can get good food for a reasonable price:

The ski resorts:
In Winterberg there are 30 slopes and 24 lifts, in the region around Winterberg there are even a total of 83 slopes to be explored. Skiers, from beginners to professionals, are guaranteed to find the right place for their skills. But not only snow hares will be happy here in the cold season. In the tranquil Sauerland town a variety of other exciting activities can be tried out: Tubing, tobogganing, climbing in the climbing park and even bull riding are possible here:

Our holiday home "Der Steinbock" is located directly on the main road in Winterberg-Langewiese. This main road leads directly into the centre (8km) of the contemplative little town and is also served by a bus line (R28). There is even a bus stop right in front of the door.
