The lovingly furnished holiday apartment is located in a historic fisherman's house right at the picturesque Möltenort harbor and just a few steps from the beach. On 75 m², up to 4 guests will find everything for a relaxing holiday on the Kiel Fjord.

Look forward to two cozy bedrooms, modern amenities, a sunny terrace with garden, as well as free Wi-Fi and a private parking space. Restaurants, fish sandwiches, promenade and beaches are within easy walking distance.

The “Grote Koje” is located in idyllic Möltenort, a charming district of Heikendorf on the Kiel Fjord. Here you can enjoy genuine coastal flair: the small fishing harbor at your doorstep, the fine Baltic Sea beach just a few steps away, and the view of passing sailboats.

Start your day with a walk along the promenade, pick up a freshly caught fish sandwich straight from the cutter, and let your soul unwind by the sea. The public beach is only about 200 meters away, and the popular spa beach is reached after around 400 meters.

Chic maritime apartment

We were three in the vacation apartment and felt very comfortable. The apartment is decorated in a maritime style and painted in nice pleasant colors. Compact kitchen with everything you need, nice dining room with a view of the water. One of the bedrooms also has a view of the water, so you look out from the bed at the Kiel Fjord. The second bedroom faces the back, making it a bit quieter. Very comfortable beds, we slept well. Cozy living room, bathroom with everything you need, shower is in the bathtub with a shower curtain, so you have to step into the bathtub to take a shower).
The apartment has a fairly steep staircase from the hallway to the upper floor, where most of the rooms are located. The staircase to the attic, where there is another room, is even steeper. Therefore, the apartment is only conditionally recommended for those with mobility restrictions; for everyone else, it's a really nice place with great restaurants (The Little Beach House - TOP!) and beautiful excursion spots. The terrace is small, but sufficient for a coffee in the morning. The small garden on the other side of the street could be a bit better maintained, but it offers a dining table and a new beautiful beach chair. View from there somewhat restricted, at least there was a sales cart in front of us at the harbor, but water within reach :)

A maritime home to feel good in

Everything you need. Comfortable beds, one sofa was wide and comfortable, the other was narrower but still sufficient, the attic room was immediately claimed by my daughter as a playroom with a wonderful view of the sea, the terrace does not have the most comfortable chairs, but with a blanket they were lovely for watching ships. It was beautifully decorated in a maritime style. The bathroom had a shower tray, which is a bit annoying with the curtain, but consistently hot water and everything is super sufficient for a family. We will definitely come back soon!

Small gem directly at the harbor

The apartment or the little house is beautiful and something very special. The view from above directly onto the harbor is great in any weather, and in good weather, the small terrace is a real highlight.

We traveled from Hamburg via Kiel by train and ferry. The ferry terminal is directly opposite, which makes getting there (even without a car) very uncomplicated.

Unfortunately, we only had three days in the quaint little town of Heikendorf, but we will definitely come back again. We spent a girls' weekend here – and often thought: Why didn't we know about this place when our kids were little? It is simply ideal for families with children: There are two small, manageable sandy beaches within walking distance, there are constantly ships to watch, ice cream and a fish sandwich can be had right at the door. What more could you want? :-)

A place to arrive and enjoy

Super beautiful cozy apartment, tastefully furnished with loving details. I felt immediately comfortable and at home. The location is hard to beat: From bedroom 1, the dining room, and the terrace, there is a wonderful direct view of the picturesque little harbor of Möltenort and over the Kiel Fjord. The beach and a few good restaurants are really just around the corner. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the village with shops & supermarket. A great extra was also the private parking space and the additional garden across the street. It was peaceful and quiet. The street in front of the house was little trafficked, and one could sleep well facing forward and enjoy the great view of the water from the bed upon waking up. Communication with Katja was exemplary, and she responded quickly and very kindly. I will definitely come back and can only recommend the accommodation. Thank you very much for the wonderful time, Katja!

A truly wonderful stay

I had a really great stay with my friend and colleague here. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and really felt like a home and not just a rental. Beautiful short vacation at the Baltic Sea!

We had a few very nice days at the Baltic Sea in the Grote Koje, the location is great with a direct view of the harbor and the beach is just a few minutes from the apartment!
The host is super accommodating and friendly and was very quick in communication :)

A wonderful winter stay in the "Grote Koje"

We spent some wintry days in the Grote Koje and felt completely at home from the very first moment.
The holiday apartment is tastefully furnished, with great attention to detail – just the right mix of modern and cozy. Especially the comfortable beds ensured that we could start each day refreshed. Despite the wintry weather, we had a fantastic time: long walks, small excursions in the area, and the feeling of being able to completely leave everyday life behind. Especially at this time of year, the area has its own unique charm.

Communication with the host Katja Kruse was very warm, uncomplicated, and always helpful – another point that made our stay so pleasant. We would love to come back and can absolutely recommend the Grote Koje!

Beautiful New Year's transition in the Grote Koje

We spent New Year's Eve with our small family in the "Grote Koje" and felt very comfortable. The accommodation is cozy and well-located, perfect for a few relaxing days. Communication was always friendly and straightforward. A small note: The showerhead is not functioning perfectly anymore, and the baking utensils could be supplemented a bit. These are just minor details – overall it was a very nice stay that we would gladly recommend!

Dreamlike view of the harbor – Relaxing days in the Grote Koje

We spent a few days as a couple in the Grote Koje and felt very comfortable. The apartment is well-maintained, clean, and offers everything needed for a pleasant stay. We particularly appreciated the quiet location and the good amenities, which made our stay uncomplicated and relaxing. Particularly noteworthy is the dreamlike view of the harbor, which we were able to enjoy both in the morning during breakfast and in the evening while relaxing – a true highlight of our stay.

Communication with the host was smooth and friendly. Overall, it was a relaxing stay that we will fondly remember.
