Location and surroundings of object
The house is located in the "De Groote Vliet" recreation park near the Ijsselmeer in Onderdijk, a small place between Medemblik and Wervershoof. Many attractions and activities can be easily reached on foot, by bicycle, by car, or by public transport. There is a bus stop at the entrance of the park.
In the park, there are three large parking lots, a restaurant, a playground, and a tennis court. When you leave the park, cross the street and you will be at the Ijsselmeer and on a path that is very popular with bird lovers.
Before reaching the town of Medemblik, there is a sandy beach with a café on the beach.
Fishing enthusiasts love the carp pond in the park, just a minute's walk from the holiday home. Fishing can also be done from the private jetty.
Charming historic towns are easily accessible by car or public transport, including Hoorn, Enkhuizen, and Alkmaar. Medemblik 3 km, Hoorn 16 km, Enkhuizen 19 km, Amsterdam 60 km, and about a 35-minute drive to beautiful North Sea beaches.

We are Leo, my Dutch husband, and I, Margit, German. We bought this holiday home in winter 2016 and since then we have replaced many pieces of furniture and the terrace, added various items, and made it cozy. In summer we live on a ship, and in winter we ourselves live in the house. That means we are always interested in making it a feel-good house for both us and our guests.
