The house is a beautifully restored monumental building where the spirit of Anton Wachter is present everywhere. The birthplace of Simon Vestdijk is also less than a kilometer away and is in the same style, but now a store that gives this house a much better atmosphere. At the same time, the tasteful and luxurious restoration gives you the feeling that you have all the modern conveniences. There are several spacious rooms that give you plenty of privacy, but you can also spend a good time together. The house contains many stairs, making it less suitable for the elderly or small children. It is not suitable for the disabled. It is also close to the center, fairly close to supermarkets and the driveway to the highway to various other cities.

We arrived at Schipol airport 2 hours late on our plane from America and we called the house manager and she was fine that we were running late. On the way to the house there was a bad wreck on the dike and it held us up another 2 hours and when we arrived she was still smiling and made us feel warm and welcome. She took us into this home that seemed not to end. This house is HUGE and accommodating for the entire family and more. It has all the items your home would have including spices, coffee, linens and so much more. The home made us feel like we never left our own home in America. There was a local pub only 2 doors down and that was a FANTASTIC PLACE also. We have stayed in homes in several countries and I must say to you we will come back to this home. The only thing we can say more about the home is they should charge way more.

We really enjoyed our stay in Harlingen. Nice cooking, reading, sports, walking and chilling ... The house is completely "our" thing .... coming home. We have already booked back for August !!! Some minuses (constructive criticism that maybe something can be done about it) : Due to corona, all restaurants closed, that's why we used the kitchen INTENSIVELY. Too bad, but the oven was defective. Obviously that can happen. There was a small replacement oven, but it also did not function properly. So small that even the small oven dish did not fit in. Personally, I think there are too few glasses available. Champagne glasses? Jura coffee machine was also not functioning properly ... (2 other alternatives to make coffee, so no problem) We stayed there for 5 nights: 4 dishwasher tablets ?? A little tight, isn't it? No problem, we have bought it. In the attic: no mirror. We went for a walk a lot, returned 2 times "rained out". Hence our coats were completely wet. Maybe place 6 small coat racks in the 2nd hall to the laundry room ... but an idea. Again this is intended as constructive criticism ... we did not bother ... but can be remedied.

A beautiful narrow but deep canal house on the Rommelhaven which has been renovated with attention and love for detail. Our midweek was too short to be able to enjoy every departure. At the rear, below ground level, there is a kitchen and we also sat the most. At the front, on the ground floor a study room with desk. early in the morning a nice cup of coffee at the desk and you think "what do we worry about?" All bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful. The bedroom on the first floor has fabric-covered walls, which makes the room enormously "quiet". Of the three bathrooms, it is completely upstairs, in the ridge of the house, completely made of teak wood and is a special piece of craftsmanship / carpentry. We did not use the blue upstairs room, but this room is also very tastefully decorated. This house is highly recommended. Note that all rooms are on different levels and can only be reached by stairs. People who are less mobile have to take this into account. We have a special holiday address and experience richer. Harling is surprisingly beautiful and the house where we stayed is fantastic! 3 bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom! Large kitchen and several places to sit, read or have a drink. The house is beautifully classically furnished and everything is of high quality!

Wow, what a house! 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and toilet, spacious living room Em cozy garden !. The kitchen is one for long evenings of cooking, dining and drinks! The house has a beautiful location on the canal and everything is finished to the last detail. This has been set up by someone who understands it! Besides this, everything was also very clean. A wonderful holiday!
