Description
When you book ievers, you choose a holiday home with character. The ievers holiday home is spacious, modern and comfortable. It is equipped with four bedrooms, two bathrooms and can accommodate a maximum of ten adults. This tastefully furnished holiday home is also suitable for people with disabilities.
The entrance to ievers is in the old church tower. The church clock from 1537 still shows the time, however, you can hardly hear the church tower bell inside.
The church hall is a large but cosy room with a prince's chair, modern dining table, kitchen, pulpit and sitting area. The impressive staircase (with stair lift) leads upstairs to the living room. From there you have a fantastic view over the Frisian landscape.
At the back are four bedrooms: one behind the pulpit and the other three in the modern new building.
The holiday home is comfortably warm in winter thanks to the underfloor heating and pleasantly cool in summer.
The house is well insulated and equipped with a solar system and a heat pump, making it environmentally friendly. To further reduce our CO2 emissions, we plant a tree for every booking. To do this, we work together with Trees for all.
A large garden surrounds the holiday church. There you can enjoy the sun on one of the terraces or on the lawn. If you prefer a shady spot, you can sit under one of the fruit trees.
The centuries-old pulpit, the carvings of the prince's chair and of course the church organ, which hangs high up in the room, are a feast for the eyes.
Here and there in the church are some beautiful art objects from the gallery 'de Vis' from Harlingen. These are changed from time to time, which means that you will probably discover something new on your next visit!

Location and surroundings of object
In and around Easterwierrum
Oosterwierum (Easterwierrum in Frisian) is a small village in 'de Greidhoeke', the heart of Friesland. From ievers, most of the Frisian 11 towns are within easy reach. Sneek, Franeker, Harlingen, Dokkum, Leeuwarden and Sloten are all gems and well worth a visit.
Near Iievers lies the river Zwette, famous in the Netherlands for the Elfstedentocht, a 200 km long ice skating race that passes 11 historic towns. A branch of this river, the Dille, flows into a small harbour in the heart of the village.
On a hill near the village is the hamlet of Tsjerkebuorren with its beautiful medieval church tower. From the ievers you can reach the tower within a quarter of an hour's walk across the pastures.
Oosterwierum is an ideal starting point for walks and/or bicycle rides. Along the ievers runs the Jabikspaad, a 2700 kilometre pilgrimage route that runs from the Frisian Sint Jacobiparochie to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

additional information about rental price:
| The basic price is for 6 persons. For each additional person we charge a surcharge of 75 € per stay. The price shown may differ slightly from the price we charge due to the surcharge for additional persons. We do not charge rent for children up to 2 years old. In fact, for them we have a camp bed (with bed linen) and a high chair (maximum 2 cots) free of charge. Our prices are inclusive of: Visitor's tax, final cleaning, bed linen, towels, tea towels and kitchen towels as well as the use of free wifi and 10 bicycles are included in the price. There are also basic spices, dishwasher tabs and toilet paper. In this case, it would be desirable that the stock is replenished for the next guests. There is a filter coffee machine and a Senseo. |
Cancellation terms:
- The rental agreement can not be cancelled. The tenant will remain fully liable for the agreed rent. In case the tenant fails, for whatever reason, to occupy De Kraak van Van Dam, the landlord is willing to offer some assistance in finding another, suitable substitute tenant. The landlord will, in case a new substitute tenant is found, as yet balance the original rent with the already received amount of rent. Any holiday cancellation insurance has to be taken out by the tenant him/herself.

Holiday home ievers is easily accessible for many people with disabilities. But however much we would like it to be, we unfortunately cannot provide everyone with the facilities he or she needs.
We do our best to offer everyone as good a stay as possible with lots of love. If you wish, we can also request home support from 'Thuiszorg Zuidwest Friesland' (outpatient care service) and the 'Aids Centre'.
If you need any aids during your stay, such as a hoist or shower stretcher, we can arrange this for you. We will then contact the HMC (aids centre) for you.
