For nature lovers and those seeking peace, the whole place is very quiet. Shopping requires a bike/car.
Very nice hosts.
The apartment in the attic gets quite warm in summer. But you have direct access to the lake and a free boat available.

Idyllic Family Vacation

We (family with 2 children) were invited by my parents, who have vacationed here several times, to spend 2 weeks in Diemitz with the "Barn" as our holiday accommodation. Since I have been living in a rural area in the USA for several years now, and my husband, as an American, is a "country boy" :-), we felt right at home in "THE BARN" and the natural surroundings around Diemitz. Of course, it was great for our children that with Alba and Friedrich, two "natives" also have their home on the large property directly by the lake.
Our landlords were very nice and had a lot of understanding for our sometimes a bit wild and loud kids. We hope you can enjoy the peace that has returned now! ;-)
Anyone looking for a retreat from the stressful everyday life is exactly right here. Everything is available and can be used for free, what one needs on vacation and otherwise would have to buy and carry themselves (SUP, canoes, kayak, rowing boat possibly with motor support). There are also enough loungers and seating options available; guests can either "get out of the way" on the property or chat with each other and even celebrate. Those who have no opportunity to bring their own bicycles can have them delivered directly on site. The rental service is located in the neighboring town of Schwarz and is very reliable.
It is also nice that the village community, or some of them, have decided to revive the local gastronomy. If one doesn't feel like cooking every day or going somewhere for it, they can enjoy delicious food and sometimes even culture at Most & Kost. Normally, everyone is happy when they can take a vacation in the USA; we were very happy to be able to vacation in Diemitz with the entire family at the Tobien family’s place. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this. We would love to come back!

Simply perfect!!!

For us, it was the best vacation we ever had. The large meadow, direct lake access, being able to take boats and the SUP, seating areas at the docks, sun loungers, giant sandbox, trampoline, many games, fire pits, use of washing machines, clotheslines, sauna, privacy,... We really lacked for nothing.

Beautiful modern accommodation in stunning landscape

The holiday accommodation is located directly by the lake, in front of the accommodation there is a large meadow where one can engage in sports activities and two piers with various boats available for the vacationers. The quiet village offers complete relaxation and recovery. The landlords are very friendly and pleasant and have furnished the accommodation very modern, contemporary, and beautifully. We were there for the first time and would gladly go back. Highly recommended!

Comfortable stay in a wonderful landscape

For years, we have repeatedly enjoyed staying in the holiday apartments of the Tobien family. The holiday apartments are modern, functional, and furnished with attention to detail. Service and contact, as always, are very good, friendly, and attentive. The overall package (holiday apartments, area with access to the lake, etc.) deserves the highest rating and is therefore highly recommendable in every way.

Perfect accommodation

The accommodation of the Tobien family is highly recommended! We have been here for the second time and will definitely come back. The apartments are beautifully furnished and clean, and nothing is missing. The view of the lake and the large green property is wonderful. The hosts are helpful, very kind, and easily reachable. If you like, various boats or a SUP can be used to explore the lake landscape. The jetty and small sandy beach on the grounds give a vacation feeling. The surroundings are ideal for hikes, walks, and excursions into nature. So, anyone looking for a quiet break is exactly right here.

Genius Days in the Water Hiking Paradise

We were at the accommodation for the second time and were once again thrilled. Anyone who loves nature will be fully satisfied here. Various routes for water wanderers, numerous hiking and biking trails invite for physical activity. The apartment is very well equipped and tastefully furnished. You can easily self-cater. There are no shopping facilities on site, as the town is actually too small, but this is not a problem if you arrive by car. The property has a very large meadow by the lake with play opportunities, a fire pit, and direct lake access. The landlords are very nice and helpful; we would love to come back.

A place to unwind

A very nice vacation rental, everything is still new, very clean and tastefully decorated. The large window front facing the lake is simply great. Boats, sun loungers, swings, table tennis table... all in good condition and free to use. Breakfast on the jetty? No problem! Plus, very nice landlords who are always available. Assessment and evaluation

It is a very tastefully furnished holiday apartment. A magnificent view of the lake delights the guests.
For the cooler season, the sauna, located directly by the lake, is a special feature.
The landlords are very friendly and take very good care of the guests' needs.
In terms of scenery, the holiday apartment is located in a beautiful environment. Hikes can be started right outside the front door.

In the center of the village directly on Lake Vilz, located at perhaps the most beautiful place in the Mecklenburg Lake District, holiday apartment.
Ideal for water sports and fishing.

Great accommodation!!!

We were a family with two children in the Rieke holiday apartment and can highly recommend the accommodation. The holiday apartment is newly renovated and well equipped. The landlords are very nice, everything is clean, you can go directly to the lake from the property and you can even rent boats and a SUP. The use of the sauna directly on the lake is also possible. For the children, there is a trampoline, a slackline, a ping pong table, and several outdoor games available. We especially liked the fact that many large trees provide shade on the property. All in all, we would love to come back!

Beautiful small apartment on property right by the lake

Lovingly furnished and equipped attic apartment in which we felt very comfortable. The converted barn is located directly on a large property by the lake with 2 boat docks. The communication with the landlords was nice and uncomplicated. We will be happy to come back.

Holiday like at home (only more beautiful)

Such a beautiful holiday flat! The proximity to the lake is great, and you have a wonderful view of the lake (while having breakfast, etc.) through the large windows. There is a private access to the lake and various offers to use the water. There are also sun loungers and barbecue facilities, all in abundance. Quiet village, pure relaxation. Nice, uncomplicated hosts. The
The flat itself is a dream in wood, cosy, furnished with much love and taste. Special mention must be made of the kitchen equipment: induction hob plus oven, super sharp brand knives, beautiful crockery and quality cutlery.... The bathroom is just as great: very spacious, extra large shower. We felt very comfortable here and enjoyed the week very much - with cycling, swimming, sunbathing, chilling, eating well (two top restaurants in the immediate vicinity). We know Diemitz from previous holidays and will definitely come back - but would only want to stay in the barn.

Holiday at the Little Lake District

Wanted-Found!

Those who travel to this part of Germany know why, and you can experience it all here in Diemitz.
The property offers plenty of space, more than enough opportunities to spend the day. Get into conversation with the neighbours or just be by yourself. Be active in sports (e.g. badminton, table tennis) or sit on the jetty with a view of the water. The best thing is of course the access to the lake, the own jetty, bathing whenever you want. Canoes, a kayak and a paddle boat (also with motor) are available for use by all guests. Whether hiking, cycling or by car, from here you can start in all directions, to all your undertakings. Experience, enjoy and of course appreciate nature. The holiday flat is TOP, cleanliness, equipment leave no room for criticism. The landlords are absolutely nice and always have an open ear. It's obvious: they love and appreciate their property, a beautiful place, a pearl. We will definitely be back. Many thanks to the Tobien family.
