Our cosy log cabin "Dat Traumhus" is located in a green holiday home settlement surrounded by Pomeranian forest landscape on the edge of the village of Bodstedt and the nature reserve "Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft". It therefore guarantees a relaxed and peaceful holiday. Mild coastal climate, kilometres of fine sandy beaches and rustic forests form an idyllic location. Time out in the countryside - an ideal holiday resort at any time of year away from the hustle and bustle of the seaside resorts. Spend your holiday in our lovingly designed "Dat Traumhus". The special ambience of the log house comes to the fore inside through the massive wooden trunks and the mild scent of wood
The property covers 400m² and the living space in the house is approx. 80m². The log house was completed in August 2007. On the ground floor there is an open, fully equipped kitchen (if something is missing, we will take care of it), the living room with a couch and a nice, cosy fireplace, a bathroom with a big shower and a hairdryer as well as a bedroom for 2 persons and a bedroom for 1 person (140cm bed). The ground floor is tiled and has underfloor heating. On the sunny terrace you can relax wonderfully and enjoy great barbecue evenings. There are garden chairs for sunbathing and a column barbecue. The garden invites you to play, relax, linger and unwind.
On the sleeping loft there are 3 mattresses for 3 people, especially the little ones find this great

Friendly hosts are a matter of course for us: The contact person on site, Wolli (operator of Café & Bar Wolli) is available for all questions and problems.
The settlement: The holiday home settlement consists of 28 holiday homes and the Café & Bar Wolli. Due to the private road, only a few foreign cars stray into the settlement, so it is possible to let your children roam the area largely unsupervised. New friendships are often formed while romping through the woods and meadows. The plots are all so large that you can retreat and let your soul dangle. The diverse architectural styles of the houses are interesting to look at and result in a well-balanced settlement image. Perhaps there is a detail or two to copy for your own home.
The cycle path "Östlicher-Backstein-Rundweg", located directly in front of the settlement, takes you once around the entire Bodden, about 80 km. This can easily be done in one day, and if you like, you can shorten the trip by taking the Bodden ferries or buses. The beautiful Baltic Sea beach in Zingst is about 30 minutes away by bike. The cycle path is also suitable for inline skates, roller skates and skateboards. Jogging and Nordic walking are also recommended.
Café & Bar Wolli is a nice little summer café at the entrance to the settlement. It has four outdoor tables and six more in the guest room. The main business time is coffee time, in the evening it usually closes after sunset. On offer are coffee, freshly baked cakes and tarts, as well as various sundaes and ice creams. The homemade potato soup with prawns is highly recommended. In the evening, you can relax with a freshly tapped beer or cocktail. Or you can round off a busy day with the large selection of whiskies.

Location and surroundings of object
Bodstedt is a pretty town on the edge of the nature reserve, Western Pomerania Lagoon landscapes'. Of the cottage area you look across the bay to the Darss. In the immediate vicinity of the house you can enjoy long walks. The seaside resorts Zingst and Prerow with its white sand beaches and its vibrant life are but just a few kilometers (Zingst about 8 km).

Price/performance doesn't quite match
It may have been a "dream house" once - but it definitely isn't anymore today. The house is basically nice, but no longer quite up to the standards of a modern property. It has also aged a bit. Some renovation measures (especially in the bathroom - silicone joints, slightly rusty towel holders, etc.) seem sensible. The indicated 80 m² are highly questionable - perhaps the complete "crawl space" is included with (not really high-quality) mattresses, which only children or very flexible people can use. Important information for internet users: NO WLAN and very poor mobile network. We were on site with 4 people and 3 different network providers (T-Com, O2, E+) and had massive problems with internet reception. Very small TV (most people surely have a larger PC screen at home) with plenty of programs, but they were already unwatchable during the first thunderstorm (outdated, non-digital satellite system). For us 4 adults, the house felt too small, but that is a very personal feeling. We are simply used to much more space. Location for outings generally good - always a few kilometers to drive to the beach. We particularly recommend Dierhagen, but it is about a 35-minute drive by car. Prerow is much closer, but there is a lot of nudism going on there. The road to the house is very narrow and often requires stopping for oncoming traffic - but with some patience, it's not a problem. We highly rate the care provided by "Wolli" Tapfer, who manages the property on-site, is friendly with a Berlin accent, and can be contacted anytime via phone. Our overall verdict: Recommended for an un-air-conditioned house for medium standards up to a maximum of 3 adults. Children can sleep on the floor. However, due to the extremely narrow spiral staircase, they should be between 8 and 12 years old. Conclusion: Nice but too expensive accommodation in high season.

Siberian Witch's House
We feel very comfortable in this beautiful "Siberian witch house." But eventually, it's time to go home. It was wonderful days, there's no question about that. It was pleasantly quiet here and the weather was nice, we could swim and go fishing every day. We love the coast, the beach, and the sea, and we will definitely come back soon. super wetter und tolles haus
As in the last year, everything was perfect in the summer of 2013, especially the weather this time was great! If you are looking for a relaxing and beautiful holiday, book here. The terrace invites you to relax, and it will be difficult to get up from the garden loungers. The children got along well with the neighbor's kids and played hide and seek and ball over the hedge. The house is very tastefully and modernly furnished, the only thing missing is an oven, but there were fresh and sometimes still warm rolls directly on site. Our parents want to come in the fall to watch the cranes and spend evenings by the fireplace. Best regards, Thorsten & Ilona

When we arrived, we were immediately impressed by the holiday home. We could enjoy a cup of tea in peace on the terrace. The attic bed was great for our children, but it may not be suitable for older adults. And our poodle felt really comfortable in the house and garden! We will definitely visit Dat Traumhus again.
