Description
The holiday home is in a secluded location between Kommern and Kommern-Süd. The large fenced garden with terrace and courtyard invites you to play and linger. Listen to the concert of the birds in the morning, let your soul dangle under old apple trees and end the evening at the campfire. There is plenty of room for the children to run around, a trampoline, a football goal and a basketball hoop are also available. Hiking and cycling paths pass directly by the house. The road is closed to through traffic. There is room for a maximum of 8 people (7 adults) in 3 bedrooms, 2 of which are equipped with 1 double bed each, 1 with a bunk bed for 3 people. An additional sleeping place is in the living room on the sofa 80cm x 180cm(if needed an extra mattress can be installed on the floor). The living room has a dining area and a sitting area. The kitchen connects the conservatory with the living room. The conservatory overlooks the garden. In the living room as well as in the conservatory there is a stove each, which provides a cosy atmosphere in the evenings. Firewood is of course included. Of course, the house also has central heating.
there are 2 bathrooms with shower, one accessible from the living room, the other behind bedroom C. The kitchen has everything you need for a cosy dinner.

The house is in a secluded location on a road closed to public traffic, between Kommern and Kommern-Süd. The public playground is approx. 300 m away, directly in the residential area above and is easily accessible via an asphalted path
The historic centre of Kommern is within walking distance.
Various shopping facilities (Rewe, Aldi, dm, bakery, and much more) can be reached quickly by car in 5 minutes
In Kommern and Mechernich there are a variety of restaurants, or snack bars and ice cream parlours
The open-air museum, the wild animal park with a great playground, the summer toboggan run, mini-golf, the visitor mine, paintball and the Zikkurat swimming pool are all close and easy to reach.

The Krevelshof adventure farm near Obergarzem is also worth a visit, so that you can easily find new interesting destinations for excursions. Phantasialand in Brühl is also about 20 minutes away by car.
The Rur Reservoir, the Schleiden-Gmünd Nature Park and the Steinbach Dam are also nearby and can be easily reached by car or as a day trip by bike.

Beautiful, well-equipped holiday home with very friendly landlords
We were warmly welcomed by the landlord and given a tour with an explanation. The equipment left nothing to be desired (except for a hairdryer ;-) ) and we felt very comfortable. For the dogs, we had to secure and lock the property and especially the entrance gate a bit better, especially since the path past the house was quite busy and our pack barked at every passer-by and wanted to stick their heads out, but our dogs are also overly alert/territorial. The brat was only allowed in the garden on a leash and the others were repeatedly sent inside for rest breaks. It's already lucky to find a nice house at all where dogs are allowed and which has a relatively well-fenced property.
The house is generally very quiet and somewhat secluded, but as also indicated in the booking information, the sound echoed in the small valley, so sometimes it sounded like there were direct neighbors after all.
The one point less for cleanliness was not a disadvantage for us. As a dog owner, you're happy when everything doesn't sparkle and shine and there are a few cobwebs to be found from time to time ;-) Everything important was very clean!!!
What annoyed me a bit was the fact that the second bathroom was not accessible. I specifically looked for a house with two bathrooms and there was no prior indication that when occupied by only two people, some rooms would not be accessible. But since I found the price-performance ratio to be very good, we overlooked it.
The Hochwildpark Rheinland is definitely worth a visit. Dogs are allowed there and the free-roaming deer came closer out of curiosity and took food. I remembered the Kommern open-air museum as more interesting from my childhood. There is more to discover in the surrounding area, but we mainly wanted to relax, so we didn't visit anymore.

Great relaxing vacation
Lonely cottage located outside with a lot to offer. You can tell that the landlord has furnished it for himself. Everything you could need is there. Large property with many possibilities. Far away from all the hustle and bustle, you can relax here and possibly make a few trips.

Quiet oasis
We spent a long weekend with 6 adults + 1 toddler at the vacation home in Wachoder. The landlords were very nice and accommodating, the area was very quiet, and the yard was not visible, so you have privacy. We especially enjoyed the evenings with homemade cocktails by the campfire. Board games, foosball, and a garden trampoline were available, so no one should be bored. Best regards, Robert.

A place to linger
From the first minute we had the feeling that this is a good place. There was really nothing lacking, we hardly left the beautiful conservatory except to brush our teeth and sleep :). Inspired, we drove back again. we have been going away together for a weekend near Cologne twice a year for a few years now. So far we have always found a new house because the change is fun, but maybe we will change our beloved tradition one day. Thank you again for the nice welcome. Best regards to your husband, too.

Pure nature and recreation
We were looking for something in the countryside for a short holiday for the 2nd time. For dog and child ..great!!! For the adults super...it could not have been better for us.except maybe a bread roll bring service.or have we overlooked that....
If you need peace and quiet you are in good hands here, there is action in the village ...everything as you like.
And it is a super nice contact.

Always worth a visit

Rest and relax
Exactly what we were looking for. Cosy evenings by the fireplace, great scenery to walk our dogs, quiet location and everything you need there. We went home very relaxed and will definitely book again. Super nice landlords, great communication.

Chilling on the Juniper

Wochenende mit Freunden
Einfache, saubere Unterkunft, mit super tollem Aussengelände und vielen Möglichkeiten.
