Welcome to Kathrin's Eifelblick holiday home!
The individually usable house is suitable for an Eifel holiday as a couple, as a family with child(ren), with friends, with several generations, with a dog: many bedrooms allow the different constellations (2-12 persons) both retreats and a sense of community
Already in the garden with trees you are in the middle of nature. Eifel loops and Eifel trails invite you to hike, cycle, relax and enjoy in the immediate vicinity.
The individually furnished holiday home has the extraordinary charm of a detached house close to nature, close to the centre of the village and within walking distance of the railway station (5 minutes).
It offers plenty of space in and around the house and invites you to explore further: It is only 400 metres to the edge of the forest and you are already on the hiking and walking trails of the Eifelschleifen and Eifelspuren. The "Pferdekopf" is a first destination, a circular path leads from the house to the Steinfeld monastery, and the immediate area is also a paradise for cyclists. Attractive excursion destinations such as the Rur, Urft and Oleft dams or the Hellenthal wildlife enclosure are in the immediate vicinity. Kall itself offers all shopping facilities for your daily needs.
In the "basic package" (ground floor), the house offers, in addition to the large living area, a bedroom with a 1.80m wide box-spring bed (passage room "Quelle", can be booked individually) and a bedroom "Buche" behind it with a 1.60m wide box-spring bed. "Quelle" has a washstand (cold and hot water). "Buche" is equipped with a television. Two bathrooms (large ground-level shower bath "Orange" with grab bar and tiled seat: also suitable for people with physical disabilities; next to it a smaller bath "Green", both bathrooms with toilet) guarantee comfort through "space for all". The ground floor is tiled throughout and is therefore barrier-free, including the tiled terrace. (You enter the house via 6 steps, a railing is available)
The "additional package" makes it possible to expand the guest group by using the first floor and, if necessary, even the converted pointed floor: Another spacious bathroom "red" with shower and a cosy, fully functional eat-in kitchen belong to the further 2 bedrooms "sunrise" (possibly children's/young people's room, 1.20m wide bed, desk, play area or space for additional mattress) as a passage to the bedroom "sunset" (two single beds next to each other). If the sleeping facilities are not sufficient, there are still up to 4 sleeping places for "adventure holidaymakers" in the "clearing" and in the "stork's nest". The large hallway area on the first floor houses a fitness bike that you are welcome to use.
You can park several cars in the driveway and in front of the house. E-bikes can be charged in the garage.
The spacious living area of kitchen, living and dining room with the long table is the heart of the house for spending time together. The open kitchen invites communal cooking and sociable consumption of drinks at the bar counter, and also has a small TV. In the living room there are three larger sofas and an armchair for cosy sitting together, reading with reading lamps or smart TV for time-shifted TV/media library with homely illuminated cupboard walls. Fast Wi-Fi is available throughout. A separate side table allows for gaming sessions without having to besiege the coffee table: The chess board is ready and waiting. You can use the in-house keyboard, guitar and bongos to make music together. The large dining table comfortably seats 10 guests and can easily be set for 12. The wind-protected and partially covered sun terrace offers a dreamy alternative to the dining area from spring to autumn. It can be furnished with up to 3 tables and 12 chairs and 2 sun loungers, and can also be used in the darker seasons thanks to the cosy outdoor lighting and the fleece blankets provided. At the back of the property, it's worth taking a seat under the large walnut tree for the sunset and gazing into the distance. There is also a cosy barbecue area with a fire bowl and stools.
In the kitchen (cooker, oven) and in the neighbouring pantry (microwave) you will find everything you need in the way of crockery and kitchen utensils for up to 12 people, a fully automatic coffee maker and a coffee maker for the Senseo (on the first floor a filter coffee maker), a kettle and a toaster. Of course, the dishwasher does the washing up.
We are also pleased to welcome you to our new Finnish outdoor sauna in the garden. Our barrel sauna with bio stove, light sauna and steam function can accommodate up to four people.

The large holiday home on the "Loshardt" is the first house on the slope and therefore offers a beautiful view. It is close to the centre of the village as well as to the hiking and forest paths.

| There are staggered booking prices: When booking one of the two bedrooms 1 'Quelle' and 2 'Buche' on the ground floor as a single room for adults, there is a surcharge per room and night of 10€ each. For an extended booking of the upper floor in single bedroom 3 'Sunrise' for a possible extra person in bedroom 'Sunrise' per night in low season 20€, in high season 30€. In the double bedroom 4 'Sunset' a single supplement of 10€ is due. The converted attic is only suitable for motor-skilled people who can assess the danger of a possible misstep because of the alternating steps. An overnight stay in bedroom 5 'Stork's Nest' costs 35€ (single supplement 10€) in low season and 45€ (single supplement 10€) in high season. In the 'Lichtung' (sleeping place 6) you have to pay 30€ (single use plus 10€) in low season, 40€ (single use plus 10€) in high season. For all children (0 and 18 years) we do not charge a single supplement. Children from 0-4 years pay 10€/night. Children from 5-12 years pay 20€/night. Children from 13-18 years pay 25€/night. Important: The automatic booking calculator does not take into account the reductions for the rooms on the upper floor and top floor and not the prices for single room use or for children. The train from Cologne to Kall runs continuously again and our holiday home 'Kathrins Eifelblick' is only 5 minutes walk from the station. So the 9-Euro ticket can be a good way to reach our house from Cologne in under an hour on the regional train.
The ice cream parlour in the centre of the village is open.
From the station to our house, you pass the renovated Rewe supermarket with an extended range of products and the Eifel bakery 'Milz' with a café. So you can really reach all everyday things from our holiday home on foot.

Deeply relaxed
My friend from Aachen and I had a much too short but very relaxing holiday in "Kathrins Eifelblick"
Unfortunately, the weather was cooler than desired, but that didn't detract from our cosy evenings on the terrace, wrapped in the house's own blankets. We sat by the fire bowl, had lots to talk about and enjoyed the view of the starry night. I have never seen so many stars in Hamburg!
The house is incredibly inviting and equipped with everything you could want for a pampering holiday. There is a fully automatic coffee machine, various TVs (but we preferred to sit outside on the large terrace), and an outdoor sauna in the barrel, which is not visible from anywhere. We slept in the "Quelle" room on a very comfortable box spring bed.
As something like this is important to me: the rooms can be completely darkened for the night!
The house is very well maintained and clean, and everything was as uncomplicated with the booking as you could wish for.
The Eifel is wonderful for hiking directly from the front door of the holiday home, but in bad weather the nearby big cities are also tempting. "Kathrin's Eifelblick" is ideally situated between walking distance to the train station and nature with countless hiking possibilities, even for people with limited mobility.
Definitely recommended for reunions of friends and family, simply because a lot of people can fit comfortably here.

Entspannte Tage in der Eifel
Danke für drei erholsame Tage in der Eifel im schönen Ort Kall in Kathrins Haus. Schon die Anreise von Köln nach Kall mit dem Zug war ein tolles Erlebnis. Ohne Autofart beginnt die Entspannung schon nach Einstieg in den Zug. Im gut ausgestatteten Ferienhaus durften wir mit Freunden in familiärer Atmosphäre die Sonne in der Eifel genießen. Das Haus ist groß genug um Privatsphäre zu haben bei gleichzeitig vorhandenen Möglichkeiten zum gemeinsamen Kochen, Essen und Spielen im Wohnbereich. Bei Wanderungen zu großartigen Ausflugszielen, wie dem Kloster Steinfeld mit Klosterschenke, ließ sich die Eifel genießen. Danach noch in die hauseigene Sauna in Kathrins Eifelblick. Perfekt!

Cosy turn of the year in the Eifelblick
A huge thank you from all of us to Mrs Wollenweber for the great time in Kall and the smooth running! Eight of us spent the turn of the year in the Eifelblick and had the Sunrise and Sunset rooms as well as the Stork's Nest and the Clearing under the roof
Both the ground floor and the first floor have a fully equipped kitchen and there are several bathrooms. Thus, despite the Quelle and Buche rooms already being rented out to a family, a safe and corona-compliant stay was possible. There is enough space!
The holiday home is the perfect starting point for tours (especially hiking, cycling and mountain biking) in the surrounding area without having to get into the car first. The proximity to the train station and supermarket even makes a completely car-free holiday possible! We are definitely planning to come back and are really looking forward to the sauna, which is now available :-)

Simply relax - no matter the weather.
With five girlfriends, we treated ourselves to a relaxation weekend at "Katrins Eifelblick." We came from different corners of Germany, which was smoothly possible thanks to the direct train connection from Cologne main station. We were lucky with the weather for a few hours, which we promptly took advantage of to go on a nice hike along the trails of Roman aqueducts. The "Eifelschleifen" hiking routes start right around the corner, wonderful! A small reward drink on the sun terrace was still possible just as it started to rain. In the extremely spacious living room, we made ourselves comfortable with board games (a few are even available in the house!) and later, we took out the guitar. Actually, we were pretty loud in the downstairs living room, but one of our friends, who went to bed earlier, reported the next morning that she didn't hear anything from the upper floor - truly remarkable. So, for us, this was the ideal accommodation. We noticed that a sauna is now installed - we will gladly come back in the autumn! We are looking forward to it!

Tolle Sonnenterrasse
Ich habe mit Freunden und Familie ein Geburtstagswanderwochenende in dem Haus verbracht und es war einfach perfekt. Man kann direkt vom Haus aus loswandern, ist nach 5 Minuten im Wald, findet abwechslungsreiche Routen und kann in dem großzügig geschnittenen geräumigen und trotzdem gemütlichen Haus wunderbar entspannen, gemeinsam kochen, miteinander spielen…
