A house for a family vacation or for a couple is in a quiet, small cottage area near the dunes in Groot Valkenisse in Zoutelande. Next to the kitchen and the small bathroom, the house has two bedrooms, one for parents with two beds, the other with 4 beds (two bunk beds). The kitchen has a gas stove, a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker eien. The garden overlooks the little wood, which is located in front of the dunes; so you are very fast on the beach. The sunny, sandy South Beach is one of the widest in the whole of Holland.
If you want to learn more about the Local Activities: sand, beach and sea, nice places and small towns as well as an abundance of nature, this is the region Walcheren. An ideal combination of lively bustle and rest and relaxation. Walcheren is clear, versatile, has a 22-kilometer coastline, and all are ocean and beach nearby. Dunes at the north and south coasts, a sea dike in Westkapelle and a boulevard in Vlissingen. In almost every place there is the possibility to rent bikes for the whole family and so convenient for exploring the peninsula. Walcheren has with towns such as Vlissingen, Middelburg and Veere a rich cultural history. Picturesque villages such as Domburg and family seaside resorts Zoutelande, Vrouwenpolder or Oostkapelle provide variety. Almost every day in the week an interesting program is offered during the summer months: at the market to traditional ring piercing. Walcheren and North Beveland are separated from the Veerse Meer - not only a hot spot for water sports enthusiasts, but also for families with children! Other surf disciplines are mobile short boards, and the calmer long boards, body boards, body surfing with a board in the hand, knee boarding on his knees and skim boards remaining on the thin layer of water after each wave. Everything you need in summer!
We really enjoyed our stay at the holiday accommodation. The location was truly ideal – in just 10 minutes you were at the beach, perfect for a spontaneous day of swimming or an evening walk by the sea. At the same time, the house is quietly situated in a small settlement, which provides a relaxing atmosphere and pleasant sleep. Those looking for a bit more hustle and bustle or shopping options can reach the nearest town or supermarket in about 15 minutes on foot. We particularly liked the beautiful, large garden – ideal for relaxing, playing, or grilling. The house itself is rather simple and small, certainly a bit older, but clean, and you can see that things are being renewed regularly. Those who do not expect luxury but are looking for a quiet, well-located accommodation for a small price are exactly right here. We would definitely come back!

Never again
The trouble started even before the vacation. We had to request the code for the house key the evening before the trip, contrary to what was promised in the booking confirmation. The house had no Wi-Fi; we didn't pay attention on the internet when booking. All the houses around had Wi-Fi. However, we received a partial compensation. In the other houses, it was possible to choose whether I wanted the beach house for 50-70 euros per week or not. Here, it was supposedly included in the price. Too expensive for that. Ants felt comfortable in the house. With baking powder, ant traps, and duct tape, greater trouble was avoided. No smoke detector functional. Disassembled or battery not present. Entrance doors front and back insufficient locks. Any burglar would have had an easy time. We accidentally turned off the gas stove in the kitchen, help from the landlord took too long. The house smells musty. Our clothes have been airing on our terrace for 2 days. Overall, the contact was not helpful when problems arose.
This was not the first booking at De Ruiser, actually a nice little settlement, but the first bad internet booking.

Summer house No. 38610.
We felt very comfortable! A domicile beautifully located in front of a nice little forest, not far from the beach. Also inclusive with a beach hut, which we enjoyed very much. The summer house is comfortably furnished with everything you need. In the kitchen, a small oven for baking rolls might be missing - we used the toaster, which also worked. The beds are okay, only the four-bed room is a bit tight (for heavier adults). But overall - great - gladly again - someday.

A very lovely vacation time.......!
We, the Debisch family, had a very nice vacation. The location of the house alone is superb. The furnishings are simple, but everything you need is there. The contact with the landlords is also very warm! We will gladly come back.

Summer house "Kleefse Jongens"
In May, I stayed again with two friends at "Kleefse Jongens" , the name of the beautiful summer holiday home. The three of us liked it very much. The location is perfect, i.e. the beach, cycle paths, hiking and shopping facilities are all close by. We especially appreciated the little beach house! The accommodation is functional, tasteful, clean, everything there. There was a cordial contact to the landlords. In any case, I (and perhaps the three of us again) will always be happy to come back.
