One thing upfront: This is a great house. We have already been to this house for the fourth time and have also booked for next year. It has basically everything you need for a nice vacation. A quiet location, super and tasteful furnishings, a beach chair on the terrace, two bathrooms, and all the comfort you could wish for in a vacation home. But: The house urgently needs!!! new mattresses! Like other vacationers, we pointed this out to the management last year, but unfortunately, nothing was done about the mattresses. In the upper bedroom, there are two different mattresses in the double bed. One mattress is just about acceptable, while the other mattress is unfortunately quite saggy. When I lie next to my husband (who is quite a bit lighter than I am) and want to slide over to him, I basically roll off the acceptable mattress into a deep dip next to him. Even when we are both just lying in the middle of the mattresses, the one (his) mattress is already several centimeters lower at the edge than the other. And of course, the sleeping experience on the sagging mattress is not particularly great either. That has nothing to do with the hardness level of the mattress anymore; one mattress is sagging. In the lower bedroom or children's room, it unfortunately looks even worse. Here too, there are two different mattresses. My daughter initially lay on the one that was most sagging. When I sat down on the bed next to her, I was basically sitting on the slatted frame. I sank down that much. Again, this has nothing to do with the hardness level of the mattress. The second mattress is unfortunately only marginally better. Both mattresses are simply worn out. Small children might still be able to sleep on them, but for older teenagers or adults, it is likely no longer comfortable. Replacement should be arranged as soon as possible. Not sleeping well for two weeks on vacation is simply not relaxing. We have booked the house again for next year, of course hoping that new mattresses will be available by then. If nothing has changed next year, we will unfortunately have to look for a new vacation house. Because not being able to find decent sleep for two weeks is simply unacceptable for a vacation. Parking available, within walking distance to the beach, shopping options nearby, perfectly situated for excursions. The furnishings are top-notch, everything is available for vacationers. Negative: If it hadn't been for the SOFT, SPREAD-OUT MATTRESSES - the beds. My mom, almost 70, sank into the bed so much that she woke up after a few hours with back pain and a pinched spine. She could not free herself from this predicament independently, as the mattress was so soft and she had sunk in deeply. The pain was so severe that we had to call the emergency number 112 at around 1:30 AM. Thank God the fire department arrived very quickly. My mom had to be taken to the hospital in Wismar for further treatment. After an infusion and examination, I was able to pick my mom up again from Wismar. At 5 in the morning back again, the question arose where should my mom sleep now? ? ? ? The thought was to cancel the vacation and go home. The last attempt for at least a few hours was the couch, and luckily it was firm enough, and we could stay a few more days. But that’s something you don’t need to experience again on vacation.
