Our cosy holiday home "Dat Steinhus" is located in a green holiday home settlement surrounded by Pomeranian woodland on the edge of the village of Bodstedt and the nature reserve "Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft". It guarantees a relaxed and peaceful holiday. Mild coastal climate, kilometres of fine sandy beaches and rustic forests form an idyllic location. Time out in the countryside - an ideal holiday resort at any time of year away from the hustle and bustle of the seaside resorts.

The property covers 500m² and the living space in the house is approx. 140m². The holiday home was newly built in October 2009
On the ground floor there is the kitchen-living room consisting of: a fully equipped kitchen (if something is missing, we will take care of it); the dining table for 8 persons; and the living area with couch with sleeping function for visitors or children, TV and books. There is a bathroom with a large natural stone shower, washbasin, WC and hairdryer. The large brick fireplace invites you to spend cosy evenings. On the sunny terrace you can relax wonderfully and experience great barbecue evenings. The garden invites you to play, relax, linger and unwind. A special icing on the cake is our Hollywood swing.
On the upper floor you will find three separate, tastefully furnished bedrooms. Furthermore, you will discover the second bathroom with integrated sauna and shower.
We ask for your understanding that the house is a non-smoking house.

Friendly hosts are a matter of course for us: The contact person on site, Wolli (operator of Café & Bar Wolli) is available for all questions & problems.
The settlement: The holiday home settlement consists of 28 holiday homes and the Café & Bar Wolli. Due to the private road, only a few foreign cars stray into the settlement, so it is possible to let your children roam the area largely unsupervised. New friendships are often formed while romping through the woods and meadows. The plots are all so large that you can retreat and let your soul dangle. The diverse architectural styles of the houses are interesting to look at and result in a well-balanced settlement image. Perhaps there is a detail or two to copy for your own home.
The cycle path "Östlicher-Backstein-Rundweg", located directly in front of the settlement, takes you once around the entire Bodden, about 80 km. This can easily be done in one day, and if you like, you can shorten the trip by taking the Bodden ferries or buses. The beautiful Baltic Sea beach in Zingst is about 30 minutes away by bike. The cycle path is also suitable for inline skates, roller skates and skateboards. Jogging and Nordic walking are also recommended.
Café & Bar Wolli is a nice little summer café at the entrance to the settlement. It has four outdoor tables and six more in the guest room. The main business time is coffee time, in the evening it usually closes after sunset. On offer are coffee, freshly baked cakes and tarts, as well as various sundaes and ice creams. The homemade potato soup with prawns is highly recommended. In the evening, you can relax with a freshly tapped beer or cocktail. Or you can round off a busy day with the large selection of whiskies.

Location and surroundings of object
Barth with its shopping facilities, restaurants and evening events is about 4 km away. In the village itself you will find restaurants and shopping facilities. The village's own beautiful Bodden sand beach can be reached in three minutes by bike. The cycle paths lead to Zingst and Prerow, around the Bodden. The landing stages of the passenger boats, with bicycle transport, are in Bodstedt, Fuhlendorf and Barth. You can also reach the Darß, the artists' colony of Ahrenshoop or the island of Hiddensee by boat. Trips to Stralsund and Rügen will be successful day trips.

- We ask for your understanding that the house is a non-smoking house. Bodstedt: The small harbour with the typical wooden fishing boats, the Zeesenbooten, is particularly beautiful. The oldest Zeesen boat regatta takes place every year on the first weekend in September. There is a landing stage for boat trips around the Bodden and translations to the Darß, and bicycles can be taken along. The local bathing beach is only three minutes away by bike. The shallow water zones are ideal for swimming beginners and water rats. Adults can relax on the large lawn next to it. The village has three small restaurants serving fresh fish and fried potatoes. The fisherman supplies holidaymakers and locals with fresh and smoked fish every day. Whether by bike, on foot or on horseback - experience the landscape and the charm of the village pure and close.

Surroundings
You will spend your holiday in a quiet location. The Baltic Sea spa Zingst (10 km) and the Baltic Sea resort Prerow (18 km) are not far away and are characterised by maritime traditions. The Prerow Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. Good shopping facilities, restaurants and evening events can be found in Barth (7 km). The Bodden and the Baltic Sea are an attractive area for water sports enthusiasts, there are countless offers. Hiking is in: a look off the beaten track is worthwhile, especially in autumn when thousands of cranes stop to rest on the Zingst.

Bochum, Berlin, and Templin are relaxing by the fireplace.
Bochum, Berlin, and Templin, recovering in front of the fireplace. Enjoyed the sea air, the beach, and the sea and watched the cranes. Now we move on, happy and cheerful. Heavenly peace, sunshine, and a good breeze around the nose we enjoyed in all 14 days in which we were allowed to live in this beautiful house. After one or two photos, our parents followed shortly after the enticing call of the sea and the silence. Ebbi, Anette, Frank, Babs, Franzi, and little Kiddi.

schöne Zeit
We had a nice time here with our children. This house is in good condition and perfect for 6 people. You can also avoid each other with the special features and plan your time individually. It was simply beautiful all around. Many thanks to Wolli and Emma - Wolli's dog, who played with the children.

We have been to the Baltic Sea several times in different vacation homes. This one is one of the most beautiful, the house has everything you need to feel comfortable. Our dogs also felt very comfortable here. The selection of different bikes is great! Our weather was lovely, except for one rainy day, much better than expected. Prerow, Warnemünde, and Zingst are worth a visit at any time, even by bike. Greetings from Potsdam and Werder.

The sun was shining almost the whole time.
Hi,
we arrived home safely yesterday. Our holiday at Dat Steinhus was very enjoyable; we were lucky with the weather. The temperatures could have been a bit higher, but the sun was shining almost the entire time. We spent most of our time outdoors.
The house is very beautiful and comfortably furnished.
Your son is such an adorable young man. We had coffee with him, and he took good care of us. A fellow traveler was quite handicapped due to a hand surgery; he invited her for coffee when we were cycling and she couldn't join, and chatted with her. Very nice!
Hopefully, the café will thrive; the location is very beautiful with a view of the Bodden.
For sure, it wasn't the last time for me to have been in Bodstedt. The other 3 ladies also enjoyed it.
Too bad that time flew by so quickly. Greetings from the south of Schleswig-Holstein!
