On the outskirts of the town centre of Franeker, surrounded by greenery and water of Friesland you will find the Recreation park Bloemketerp. Bloemketerp has been famous for years for its extensive catering facilities with bowling lanes, sports facilities and sunny holiday homes.
Recreation park Bloemketerp is located within walking distance (250 m.) from the historical centre of the 'Eleven cities' city Franeker and is also a perfect starting base to explore the rest of Friesland. Many attractions are at your fingertips. There are many sports and catering facilities on offer in the park.
You can rent pretty chalets and studios in Recreation park Bloemketerp. The safety, atmosphere, comfort and the environment were the main considerations for the construction of these chalets and studios. Every accommodation has its own south-facing sun terrace.

The cottage itself is fine, large and enough storage space.
Facilities at the park are disappointing. Many closed despite the summer holidays. Power was cut off for 5 hours and was reported the night before.
We report that the playground equipment is broken and nothing was done with it.

The complex made a very neat impression from the outside. The holiday apartments themselves are showing their age, so you should invest again. Upon arrival it smelled like chlorine for days, for whatever reason. The sink was missing the plug, the toilet brush, no broom for sweeping and the ceramic hob was so badly burned that cooking was not possible.
Cutlery and china was sparse. The floor was sticky with fluff and hair from the previous tenants. Ventilation grilles of the exhaust air and the refrigerator were completely clogged with fluff.
The caretaker (5 out of 5 stars) and the staff gave their all, but these shortcomings cannot be counteracted.
The plant could probably be brought back into shape, but the investors would have to spend real money.
The location of the complex is perfect, quiet and yet central. The place is beautiful and we really liked it.

In this complex there was something for every age group. Everyone can relax, have fun and relax here. This time we had my sister and family with us beforehand. They had also booked their own house. We were all very satisfied. The bowling alley is great fun and affordable. The swimming pool is very nice. The houses actually offer everything you need. If you are traveling with a large family, however, you should take a large pot or something with you, as the kitchen equipment is not necessarily designed for a larger family. Otherwise you can find everything you need. We were here for the second time and will be back.

Nice holiday home for a family. Sliding door open and the children run straight onto the lawn. Nice location and ideal that the supermarket is around the corner. Harlingen beach is also nearby. Highly recommended.

The complex is really well maintained. The swimming pool was very clean and there was something for everyone. The houses were clean and in good condition. An oven would have been helpful for my own needs. But this is not included in the description either. We were there with 2 adults and 2 children and we all had a lot of fun. Everyone got their money's worth with bowling. Everything is not as stiff and only as you know it in some places. The service and everyone who works on site were super friendly. We will be back and can only recommend this park. In the vicinity you will find everything you need for everyday needs.

House and sanitary facilities not clean and maintenance is overdue. This is in stark contrast to the park itself, which is neat and well-maintained. Also extreme nuisance from (flying) ants in and around the house. Staff are friendly and cooperative.

What a fantastic park! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The cottage is clean and tidy. There is a lot to do in the park and in the area. Highly recommended, even for families with older children.

The house is very basic, we neat. The TV is too small for this time. Kitchen utensils were missing dishes, saucepan to fry an egg, doors rattle in the night due to the wind, chairs and tables are sticky.

Nice environment, very green. Plus a volleyball net in your backyard. The children really enjoyed badminton and volleyball. Accommodation very good and staff very friendly.

Very friendly staff and everything was arranged immediately! Nice accommodation, decor of the house which is outdated, but otherwise functional. Little privacy, but beautiful large playing fields with playground equipment and there is a restaurant, swimming pool, a play paradise, a bowling alley, you can play sports, the store is really around the corner. We are canoeing with our group. Wonderful to admire Franeker from the water! All in all very much enjoyed.

Cottages lay well on the edge of Franeker. Albert Heyn and Lidle at 50 meters around the corner. Great base for a day of Terschelling. Friendly receptionist and sports instructors. Beautiful bowling alleys. Overall, fine to stay.

Peaceful park. Unfortunately, the restaurant and snack bar Mon, Tues. And codon. not opened and that the hoogseizoen.Voor the rest have good serice, we had no cleaner while two dogs along hadden.Andere houses a stofzuiger.Naar did have gone to reception and within a half they were already at the door a vacuum cleaner. It is a beautiful house with lots of space also front and rear. We were there for New Years and absolutely not suffer from too many fireworks. Just cozy and everything cleared up the next morning. Also, we were allowed a two hour later therefore sleep after a short night !!

Cozy midweek had with children and grandchildren. Everything you would expect normally present in the house. It was very quiet in the park, but that is of course in October. Supermarkets and center of Franeker indeed really walkable. It was deep into the night very hot in home heating could not turn down. We wanted to move a case regarding the placement of a child, the closet was so rickety that it completely fell apart ... All in all little things that certainly have not ruined our holiday.

Per person per device you have to pay a subscription. That is no longer in vogue. We were lucky that we had the house on the corner. Therefore around the space. The house was tidy and clean, but not spotless. What is very disappointing were the kitchen stuff. We were 7 people. But the salad bowl was just sleeps four. Also, the tiles were not large enough. We have even purchased a frying pan. It was in this way really a little camping. It was nice that the supermarkets were so close and so you walked into town.

A few days before departure we looked a little on the Belvilla website to do some searching and found the price we had paid for? Previous month 317 - you could book for? 207, -. The cottage is good, not overly luxurious (no DVD player, or a dishwasher), spacious enough, though the space in the kitchen a little cramped. Electric cooking you have to lie ... The area has a lot to do, the Eise Eisinga planetarium in Franeker is really great too, Leeuwarden is close. We have excellent dinner at City Tavern! Furthermore, children's entertainment: bowling and pool where you can walk to so far. The temperature of the water should, I believe what may be higher ... The kids loved the water slide great! There was a week of rain still plenty to do in December. Minus: Internet connectivity via both Wi-Fi and G3 was very poor and frequently absent.
