This luxurious detached chalet, suitable for up to 16 people, can be found at the foot of the imposing Dachstein mountains and on the banks of the picturesque Hallstättersee, near famous Hallstatt. Obertraun is located south-west of Salzburg in the lake area of Salzkammergut. During the summer it's a popular holiday area and during the winter a busy skiing area. The area is so unique, that is was added to UNESCO's World Heritage list in 1997.
The chalet is furnished in a modern and tasteful way, not forgetting the typical Austrian aspects. You'll feel right at home. On the ground floor, you'll have a spacious, tasteful living room with a beautiful view. The dining table seats 16 people. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances and features a double cooker and several ovens.
No less than 8 bedrooms and 4 bedrooms are at your disposal, as well as a private sauna and a spacious terrace with garden furniture.
In the holiday village there is a central building with many options, such as a restaurant with sun terrace (terrace only open in the summer), indoor swimming pool, mini market, children's entertainment (in summer only) and a fitness studio. You can book a massage on the spot for a fee. The public beach of the lake is located within walking distance. During the winter, the ski bus stops in front of the door and you can arrange ski rental on site. The area offers a great deal of activities and outings, both summer and winter. The ideal holiday destination in any season!

The house was fully sufficient for our group of 13 people. Everyone had a nice double room and there were enough bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped with two stoves and two dishwashers, enough glasses and plates. You should bring your own dishwasher tablets and toilet paper; otherwise, it won't be enough for a longer stay. The ski area Krippenstein is more for touring skiers. There aren't many lifts and slopes. In Gosau, there is a well-manageable ski area. The resort is located directly by the lake, and that is definitely something special. There is a bakery and supermarket in the village, but they are extremely expensive. All in all, we had a few nice days in Obertraun.

The house is really big and nicely done, everything is new and in great condition. For a group of 13 people really enough and everything there, what you need. Unfortunately, the outside is not much green, I hope this will be made up for. The houses are very close to each other, so you can not use the terrace really well. Here it would be nice if, for example, hedges or trees were planted for visual protection. The lake is very close and it is a good starting point for things to do.

It was a very nice stay, we had a whole house for 16 people! Super chic house with a lot of space, everything you need! You can only recommend! There is a swimming pool, a small supermarket and the area is just great
