Holiday 11.05.2024 to 18.05.2024 Breskens
Noise pollution due to new construction directly across from No. 11, which will last a long time. If you can't sleep well, you should avoid it. The small lake nearby is full of seagulls, herons, owls, and singing all night. It's nature as well. But if you're looking for peace, this isn't the place. The garden is very large and beautiful, great for dogs. House No. 7 is inhabited by a Dutch person who dislikes Germans; he showed my wife the middle finger. Unfortunately, you have to pass by him to get to the beach. Something to experience in today's world. Unfortunately, the house promises more than it actually is. In summer, it's unbearable in the conservatory. Pure heat. Unfortunately, the heat circulates throughout the house. You can't sit in the conservatory. We were here in May. The living room is small when the conservatory is closed. It's nice only when you can open the conservatory through a glass sliding door. But in the heat, you have to keep it closed. Unfortunately, only nice. Not suitable for children and older people. The staircase to the bedroom is a big hazard. Very steep and narrow. Children would need to be carried up. Pulling the trash all the way to the street, dragging the bins the whole way, 250 meters. The lease agreement is 22 pages, terms of use 23 pages. Water, gas, electricity, dog, all extra. The house looks big with the conservatory and beautiful, but that's about it. Because you can't use it in the heat. The landlord is actually nice, but everything is like a bureaucrat; I have never experienced such a lease agreement in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, I had already booked. Also, you shouldn't bring spoons, forks, or knives. It's in the contract. All in all, I wouldn't book it again. Reading the contracts is already a challenge for me. Unfortunately, the contracts only arrived after booking.
